Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
"Jaggedpaw! Are you ready for a great day of training? We're going hunting today," Shatteredshine announced cheerfully as she met the apprentice outside his nest. Though the young tom was her uncle's apprentice, she ended up handling most of his daily training. Chim was a busy cat with a dislike for young cats, so it was understandable . . . but not excusable, and she had convinced him to help her out with a secret lesson today.

"Why do I have to go with you." Jaggedpaw sighed as he got up and gave a rather disdainful stretch. "Why can't my actual mentor train me for once, puh." He gave a flick of his tail and stomped past her out into the open, not caring one bit that he was probably being disrespectful.
Shatteredshine frowned. She trotted after him with a stern look on her face. "Uncle Chim is a very busy cat, you know that. He has a lot of responsibilities other than you. Besides, I'm not that bad of a mentor." She thought she was doing a good job of raising her own apprentice and Jaggedpaw at the same time.

"Busy... puh." Jaggedpaw didn't believe that for one moment. He didn't understand why Chimerastar himself assigned him as his apprentice if he wasn't going to train him anyways. "So what are we doing today, mentor." He felt a bit guilty about lashing out at her so much, but he had never been good at controlling his emotions.
"We're going for a hunt. I want to test your stalking and see if you have your form down right. You know, not all prey can be caught the same way," Shatteredshine began, then stopped herself. "Well, I'm sure you already know that, but this is your chance to prove it!"
Feeling a stab of sympathy for the young tom, she ducked down and whispered in his ear: "If you do well today, I'll tell Beestripe to assign the other apprentices to moss duty tomorrow and let you take the day off. How does that sound?"
