Akatosh sprinted out from behind the dumpster. His paws hit the burning pavement. As he dashed for the safety of the tall fence looming in front of him. On his tail was a medium sized black and white dog. The dog’s jaws were snapping at his heels. The middle aged black and white speckled tom jumped at the fence. His claws digging into the hard wood as he hauled himself upward. Reaching the top the tom gracefully balanced on top. The former Absum Lux tom peering down at the dog which was barking and pawing at the bottom of the fence. “Thought you could catch me mangy mutt.” He taunted the dog. “Now get lost!” He snarled swiping his paw and outstretched claws in the direction of the dog’s face.
