Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Her posture relaxed visibly, though some tension remained. "Then..." Sunny's eyes narrowed in thought. "I like Sunpaw.... as a name I mean." She didn't say it aloud, but she thought it sounded a bit more fierce than Sunnypaw.
Frostcloud smiled warmly at the young she-cat. "Sunpaw it is then. Welcome to SummerClan." she said genuinely. "We'll figure out what to do for a mentor later on but for now you're free to explore and meet your new clanmates." she told her.
Sunpaw dipped her head respectfully. "Thank you so much for this." She then glanced about the camp, tail lowering somewhat as she realized she had no idea where to start.
Sunpaw nodded and meandered towards the apprentice's den, ignoring the pain in her neck as she swiveled to look around. Surely she should start with cats near her own age, right?
A small bundle of dark brown fur came bounding out of the nursery and after stopping for a brief moment to look around he spotted Sunpaw the new apprentice and scampered over to her curious to meet the new cat. "Hi." the small tom kit chirped up at the new apprentice.
Surprised, Sunpaw crouched to speak with the kit. "Why, hello there! My name is Sunpaw!" She started her new name with no small amount of pride. "What's yours?"
"They said they were both abandoned by their parents so I don't about coming from somewhere else." Desertkit said looking a little puzzled but he shrugged it off. "My mom is Soulmadness and my dad is Daggerjuggler."
Sunpaw nodded somewhat shyly. "I was born a kittypet. They sent me to the cageplace when I was still a kit though, so I don't remember my mother very well."
"It's where twolegs throw any cats they don't want, or if they catch a cat without housefolk. They keep you in a tiny box and stare in at you if they get bored. Most cats who go in never come out." Sunpaw explained, shivering at the memory.
"That sounds horrible." Desertkit said scared of the very thought.
"But you must have left with some two-legs, right?" he asked after thinking silently for a minute. "Why'd you leave the two-legs that took you in. I've always heard that kittypets have it easy and are well fed by two-legs."
Sunpaw gave him a sad look. "Well... I was taken home by some twolegs eventually. Problem was, their current cat, an elder by your standards, was scared they had gotten me to replace him. He was terrified they would throw him out. He was too old to care for himself, and twolegs, being the way they are, don't take older cats in as often as a younger cat. So, he chased me out."
