Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.

( stealing this idea from honey who stole it from faith. i'm making a bunch of open threads and pinging pi peeps that replied to the ac. feel free to reply even if you weren't pined, and this is optional but most of you said you wanted to rp with me. Jadie , this is your thread ) The sun shone brightly in the sky, hanging high and probably not swaying in the wind. But the light played tricks, and even with the shade above her, Lorelei felt like it was getting closer and closer. It was a quiet day, not much to do. Especially, after stealing this thing from a twoleg kid. Now the distant cries went of deaf ears as she laid on her back. Under her paws was some stick, and attached to it was a really long hair before it ended in a bird. Though the bird didn't flap and stayed in the same place, only shifting when she moved the stick. She jerked it around somewhat, the bird nosediving down before catching the wind and rising up again. "How neat. Why do twolegs get all the cool stuff?"
A hawk's shriek pierced the otherwise quiet afternoon and brown-feathered bird flew across the sky, dipping and twisting at the kite much like how a kit would a moth. Its claws came dangerously close to paper "bird" but never did tear it. Circe made sure of that, the thin stick in her jaws humming with an energy perhaps a demon-blooded cat like Lorelei would be able to detect, although most could not. Her brilliant yellow eyes snapped up the the bird who immediately lowered its altitude and sat itself on the ground next to the gray tabby she-cat. It cocked its head curiously at Lorelei.
"I raised this one from a hatchling," Circe explained. It was hard to keep the pride out of her voice; her pets were her passion, after all, "She minds very well although she mostly lives wild these days. I try not to bother her too much. Predators deserve more respect than prey."

Lorelei's ear swiveled as she heard someone next to her, but she didn't have a chance to answer as a hawk began swooping at her kite. "Hey! Knock it off, you stupid bird." She yanked the string this way and that, swerving the kite all over the sky. She definitely accidentally got it closer to the hawk's talons, which only caused her to move even more erratically. She looked less cat and more stubborn human child as her paws swung around violently. The kite barely stayed in the sky, only keeping in flight thanks to a lucky burst of wind as the hawk left and landed next to Circe.
The calico forced an exhale, limbs relaxing against her stomach as she turned to look at Circe. She almost wanted to say something mean, like a what were you thinking, but she seemed to forget her anger the more Circe talked. "Wow sissy. It's like you have your own kite, and you don't even need a string to fly it. Cool."
"Oh, there's strings, you just cannot see them," Circe laughed, stroking the bird's soft feathers. Her hawk seemed unperturbed by the touch but certainly did not lean into it. She was wild and wanted to be up in the skies, yet, when it came to her master, she yielded.
"This one will do."
A quiet pop! followed and, when Circe drew her paw away from the bird, she was holding a feather. It was a beautiful thing, white at the base and tip but a rich reddish brown in-between, accented with auburn stripes, like a tabby. She presented the feather to Lorelei, "In DayClan, I'm told the feather of a redtail hawk means patience. I'm not sure why. These birds are decisive and strong. They do not wait for the right opportunity, they intuitively know. Perhaps with those big, strong eyes of theirs, they see a bigger picture than we could even understand... Oh, I"m rambling. You're the last cat in the world to care about stuff like this, aren't you? I do hope that this feather serves you the same way it does our family in DayClan."

Lorelei cocked her head at the laugh, not really getting it. How were there strings if they couldn't be seen? Sure, like air exists and we can't see it. But strings are different. Less it was really strong spider silk. That'd be cool.
The Hunter listened to the explanation, more intrigued in the way the feather shined in the sunlight rather than its symbolism. She'd of course seen the Dayclan cats with the pretty feathers in their fur at gatherings. And now with the alliance, they were showing up more and more. Or maybe she was just trespassing more. Not that they called it trespassing. "Hmmm, but they're always circling around in the sky. Maybe they're waiting for prey patiently?" Not that she really knew, though when presented with the feather, she let out a squeak. Completely forgetting her own question. "Ooh thanks sissy. Can you tie it behind my ear like how they do it in Day?" Lorelei rolled over, almost losing the kite handle but keeping it pressed under her paw. "Do you give your pets names?" She asked absentmindedly, more excited to feel Circe's paws in her fur than the answer.
