Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Brownie slept through the night soundly, waking up only once at the sound of Nib moving beside her. The chocolate brown queen licked her ears to soothe her and curled around the kit, easily sliding back into a comfortable sleep. This time felt different. There was an eerie aspect to her dreams, and Brownie looked around with her ears laid back. She didn't recognize this place, but a creepy forest was an understandable dream after what she'd been through. The she-cat gently padded forward, feeling like a pair of eyes were on her the whole time. She remained quiet, hoping whatever was watching her would just jump out already and scare her awake.
_ Faith for your dark forest cat, brownie doesn't believe in starclan so have fun lol
"Are you a mother?" The voice sounded ghostly from the way it wobbled, but the worse part was the creaking sound that came after. It was like someone choking on water... Or maybe blood.
The queen stopped short, blood running cold at the sound of... could she even call that a voice?! Brownie felt herself begin to shake. This dream was too weird. She wanted to wake up. Instead, the she-cat tried to calm herself and turned to face the horror that had spoken to her. "I am," she replied, voice wavering. She added as an afterthought, "And that makes me fierce and it makes me strong, so if you're here to hurt me, keep that in mind."
"It truly does," The voice said as a cat came into view.
She had ragged dark grey fur with cobalt blue eyes, the whites of her eyes were pink, almost red, like she had rubbed them till they bled. There were thick bulging scars that rippled across her body, she looked like she was a decaying corpse. "But that didn't save me."
Suddenly blood and gore dripped out from the side of her neck that Brownie hadn't yet gotten a glimpse at, "I have not come to scare you, but rather talk, mother to mother," She croaked, "I was killed by my own clanmate quite recently. He convinced my clan that I tried to kill him and an apprentice, my kits think I'm a monster. But he's planning something unthinkable, but I think you can help me. A SwiftClan cat is always the most unsuspecting cat to get involved in other clan politics..."
Brownie shrunk back in disgust before schooling her face into a neutral expression. "I am sorry that happened to you," she said, voice still not as steady as she would have liked. "But I'm afraid I cannot help with clan politics." The brown she-cat began looking around, away from the bleeding disgusting sight in front of her. This was a horrible dream and she couldn't understand the reason for it. Maybe she had been thinking too much about her own mortality and her relationships with clanmates recently. Regardless, Brownie wanted to wake up.
She followed Brownie's line of sight, getting up and repositioning herself where Brownie's gaze tried to avoid her. "He's going to kill my tykes, there will be a fire in the tunnels, he will hide them away in a vacant tunnel so that they'll perish in the blaze or suffocate from the lack of oxygen. If you do nothing that is their fate."
Brownie tried to keep looking for a way out of this conversation but the frightening cat kept moving in front of her, blocking her field of vision. She was growing slightly irritated now by the confusing words of the dead she-cat. "Look," Brownie began, firm yet not unkind. "You aren't even real. But if helping you will let me wake up, fine. What can I do?"
"Go to the Regime and find the tom with the moon on his face, lead him to thunderpath acting as though your kit is missing. The rest will handle itself," She promised before allowing the she-cat to awaken. But even in the back of Brownie's mind she could feel Xuxa's presence lurking. Usually there was the satisfaction that it was all a dream, but this felt as though a voice was whispering above her sleeping body.
