Born to a doting mother in a clan that worships their pureblooded kits, Berryblush was spoiled from birth. Though this didn't make her haughty or stuck up, it did result in her complete naivety when it came to any ills the world might offer. The she-cat is almost a spitting image of her mother with her creamy golden pelt and light blue eyes, though her personality is much more gentle and less prickly. She adores her siblings and mother, and though Mousekit and Earthkit look different from herself and her other siblings, she loves them just as much. She had an adventurous streak, but often times lets her siblings take the lead. She loves playing in the sun's warm rays, but doesn't adhere to their religion so much as their mother. She believes in passing and goes through the motions, but her faith isn't a large part of her life and takes up very little space in her mind.
Now that she had three moons under her belt, Berrykit was much more curious that she'd been in moons past. The sloping walkways of camp made the perfect playground for energetic kits in times past, and Berrykit was certainly taking advantage of it. Racing up a pathway, she sat on the slip of tree bark a warrior had brought back for her and began to slide down with an overjoyed squeal of excitement. When she came to a stop at the bottom of the slope, she began to try and lug the bark back up the to top but found the task to be beyond her and dropped it with a growl. How was she supposed to slide down again if she couldn't even get the bark back up to the top?
"What are you doing?" Came a familiar voice as a honey and white colored kit with beautiful blue eyes approached. Hornetkit had halted to watch Berrykit slide down the slope on a piece of bark. He had never seen or heard of any cat doing that. Now, she was struggling to pull the bark back up the slope and it had caught Hornetkit's attention.

"I'm playing," she replied as though it was the most obvious answer in the world. "Would you help me get this back up the slope?" She only knew Hornetkit from their brief interaction the other day, but hoped that since she had been nice to him then he would be nice to her now. "It's too big for me to do myself." She was younger than the tom-kit and much smaller, so the likelihood that she could get the bark up by herself was very low.
"This is playing?" He raised a brow in confusion but then simply shrugged. "Whatever." He grabbed the bark between his jaws and began pulling. "I can't do this myself, y'know!" He retorted, hinting for her to help him.

"Ooh, ooh thank you so much Hornetkit!" purred Berrykit, rubbing against his side in thanks before grabbing a piece of the bark in her mouth and tugging it with him. "'Ou can go 'own 'is time," she added through the mouthful of bark, proud to show the manners her mother had taught her. Even though she wanted nothing more than to go down again, she would let Hornetkit have the next turn since he helped her. Then she'd go again and again and again...
Hornetkit felt warm under his fur when Berrykit brushed against his side. "Your welcome" he mewed, much nicer this time, almost surprising himself. He helped Berrykit pull the piece of bark back up the slope. Once they reached it, Hornetkit sat for a moment panting. Then it hit him. Wait. Why did he just pull this thing up the slope for a she-kit? Did females have special powers to make males do whatever they want for them? He looked at her. Her fur was so soft and her eyes so bright and blue. She looked perfect in every way.
Wait? What? He shook his head, blinking away the thoughts. She's a girl, gross. He turned his attention back to the sled. "It might be big enough for both of us to ride on it..." He suggested, awkwardly. He knew she wanted to ride on it. If they couldn't fit, she should be the one to slide again.

Berrykit stopped to catch her breath when they got the piece of bark back to the top of the slope, flanks rising and falling rapidly from the exertion. "You're not that mean you know," she mewed after a few moments with a sideways smile at him. "I mean, the other kits say that you're not very nice, but you've been nice to me both times we've hung out. I think we're friends, right?"
She considered his offer to go down together and practically lit up like the Sun God himself. Her clear blue eyes sparked with excitement at the proposal and she nodded quickly. "Going together sounds even more fun! That way we don't even have to take turns! If you sit in the front I can hold onto you so I don't fall off!" She spun in an excited circle before taking a dainty seat on the back end of the bark, her tail tucked carefully under her so he didn't step on it.
He wasn't sure whether he should be offended or flattered by her saying that he was not as mean as the other kits said he was. "Uh...I guess?" Were they friends?
"Yeah, okay." He shrugged, getting toward the front of the piece of bark. As he sat down, he looked down the slope and it seemed to stretch in front of him. "Uhh..are you sure this is safe?" She had already slid down it once but perhaps she was just lucky she didn't get hurt.

He didn't get a chance to change his mind, because in the same breath that Berrykit cried out "I don't know!" she pushed off against the ground and sent them both careening down the slope at high speeds. She held onto the bark with her claws and pressed her face against Hornetkit's side, loving the way the wind against her face felt. The drop seemed to go on forever, but like all things it eventually came to an end. Before the bark had even stopped moving, Berrkit jumped off and began to hop around with excess energy. "That was awesome! Let's do it again, Hornetkit!"
Hornetkit gripped the bark like his life depended on it. Wide eyed and claws outstretched, his cheeks flapped in the wind as they flew down the slope. The fall made his stomach rise and he thought he was going to puke. By the time they stopped, his fur was a mess and his blue eyes were still wide in terror while his heart raced at a concerning speed. He had to rip his claws from the bark as he exited the sled. He stood beside Berrykit with shaky legs. While he was scared out of his fur, he was surprised to feel a slight feeling of excitement. The adrenaline rush, it was rather addicting. He wanted to go again! "O-okay!" He agreed without even thinking about it. Why would he do it again? He saw his life flash before his eyes! Yet, the trilling trip down the slope made him crave it!
