Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Fernshadow bounced on her paws. This was going to be her second apprentice. She tried to calm her breathing but she couldn't help how antsy she felt.
Would she and Fawnpaw get along? At the thought of her apprentice's name made her whiskers twitch. It made her remember Springfawn, her third mentor.
OF all her mentors she felt like she'd learned the most under her. She missed the she cat, she seemed to understand the type of cat Fernshadow was, and Fernshadow had really felt like she was growing under her. And then Shiverstar sent her away on a mission... and she'd never come back.
Fernshadow sighed and shook herself straightening up. She couldn't afford to be weighed down by the past, her new apprentice was going to be excited about her training starting, so she couldn't afford to be melancholy reminscing about the past.
So she sat and waited for Fawnpaw to come out of the apprentice den so they could begin their training.
( you've just reminded me i need to bring springfawn back somehow and apologise to fernshadow xD )
It wasn't an uncommon occurrence for Fawnpaw to disturb half the camp by racing out of the den and trodding on her Clanmates' tails, but this time, she'd graduated to skidding out of the apprentices' den rather than the nursery.
"R-ready for training, Fernshadow!" she blurted out, facing her mentor with a bright smile. "What'll it be first? How to set a fox trap? How to fend off a hungry badger? How to kill an enemy warrior in total silence?" She paused for a second, noticing how fast her heart was racing. "...Sorry, I'll calm down soon, I promise."
(That was the intent , Fernshadow's missed her favorite mentor XP ((Really out of all of them I think she meshed best with Springfawn)) Plus if you want to make her Black Hand again I'd be down (((OOOO WHAT IF SHE WAS HELD PRISONER IN WINTERCLAN 0.0 like her mission (That we like totally said she was on to explain her disappearance XP) put her there so she's among the prisoners they need to rescue but like it's a shock. Like Burningstar thought she'd died and Fernshadow's like OMSC YOU WERE TRAPPED THERE THIS WHOLE TIME?! I'M SO SORRY WE DIDN'T COME FOR YOU SOONER)
Fernshadow let out a laugh, "No no, don't feel bad about being excited. When I was your age I was very nervous, but my mentor, well one of my mentors, taught me to not view my personality traits as a weakness. Your enthusiasm lends energy to your paws and brightens the night. Don't ever feel bad for being enthusiastic. And though I don't think we'll be doing much fighting. I can take you around the territory and maybe tell you a bit about some of the ways we'd fight off some of those threats you mentioned. Though typically we should only kill in the heat of battle, and only if there's no other way."
