Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Evelyn, by chance, or more likely, intentionally, had walked right onto 'SwiftClan land' if it could really be called that. Few knew who she was, though the scent of the Regime clung strong to her pelt. Those who would recognize her were pretty much limited to Chimerastar, more or less. The leader would probably have a heart attack to see the she-cat who took his eye walking around the area he resided in. Why was she here? Who knew, but the Mercenary was here, and that probably wasn't a good sign.
"Another new member? Or are you coming to take prey?" Heathersong had been out about in the territory hunting to some moderate success, as was evidenced by the rabbit she sat at her paws, when she came across a stranger. "If you're coming to join, I can take you to the camp and let Chimerastar know you're here. Otherwise, you gotta go. We've got a lot of new mouths to feed and can't afford to let someone else take our prey. There's unclaimed territory to the west if you need it." Her words were no-nonsense, but there was cation in her eyes that belayed the relaxed conversation she was having.
For once, the ginger tom was nearby to greet a newcomer. Maybe it was just bad luck that he was in the area, or maybe he had sensed a dark disturbance in the force as the evil presence entered his land.
The ginger tom burst from the undergrowth and stalked to stand protectively in front of Heathersong, his ears pinned back and lips drawn. "Get out of here, but stay nearby," he ordered Heathersong from the corner of his mouth, "in case you need to bring medicine cat." There was no way in hell Chimerastar was going to let one of his warriors get drawn into this. Evelyn was certainly not here for joining and if she was coming to cause damage, she would hurt him and no one else. Chim wasn't being noble: this was personal.
"Did they finally kick you out of the tunnels? I suppose Shule has more sense than the others," Chim growled at the intruder, his hackles rising.

Heathersong was surprised at Chimerastar's harsh words, but didn't show it. Giving a nod, she didn't take her eyes off of the new she-cat while she bent down to collect her rabbit and pad away. She buried the rabbit at the base of a nearby tree and then climbed up, using the height to give her a vantage point over the two cats. She felt adrenaline run through her; who was this cat that made the normally easy-going Chimerastar so angry? She dug her claws into the tree, prepared to sprint back to camp and fetch Firetooth if the need arose.

"Just making sure you're not causing any trouble. After all, you like to go everywhere you have no business." Evelyn retorted, easily glaring at Chimerastar, who was the reason she'd come here in the first place. "I'm surprised, your clan hasn't ditched you this time. Did you learn a thing or two, or did they threaten to take your other eye?"
"I didn't cause trouble last time and you know it," he spat. "I came to you in peace. All I wanted to do was talk, to apologize." His tail lashed. There was an itch at the back of his mind that maybe he should have sent his warrior farther and out of hearing range, but it was too late now. At least she could help if it came to a fight and he needed healing. His ear pinned back as he listened for her, though he refused to take his eye off the intruder.
"I did learn. I learned the only time I'll be able to trust you is when you're dead. Now get out of here before my warrior and I killed you ourselves."
