After giving the injured tom some poppy seeds and seeing that his nest was comfy, Graythorn let out a wide yawn and padded into the back recesses of his den to his own nest. About time I get some rest, he thought as he settled down and fell quickly asleep.
Stonefang padded softly up to the medicine den to check on the tom he helped to rescue. He still felt warm inside after the usually grouchy medicine cat told him that he helped to save the stranger's life. Not seeing Graythorn around, he slowly went inside. The injured cat looked like he was sleeping so he thought he'd come back later. But before he could leave, he heard another sound at the medicine den's entrance and turned to see who it was.
