Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Bubbles built up in the sea, then more before soon enough the seaweed monster emerged. It was like nothing SummerClan had seen before! The seaweed monsters eyes were like a sunken black abyss, there was nothing there, just a void. Its tail was quite in fact beautiful, beaded pearls were strung through stray pieces of reeds and lilypad flowers adorned its back. The seaweed monster lifted up its head and let out a roar that choked into a boyish chuckle. The seaweed monster reared up its legs and shook out its seaweed. Soon enough seaweed, reeds, lilypads, and tiny seashells were flying in all directions. Now all that stood at the beach was a new tom. His scent was salty, but he definitely wasn't from SummerClan. He had dark blue grey fur with a light grey chest and brown splotchy legs... But his electric blue gaze looked a lot like Windyhurricane. But that couldn't be true because a cats fur couldn't just change colors. Windyhurricane cinder grey fur with tabby markings and a blue grey mask across his eyes. Those were features you couldn't just change so this seaweed monster had to be an intruder!
Ratstar had been called to the Shore of Shifting Sands by a group of terrified apprentices, all yelping about some sort of seaweed monster in the Northern Sea. The Summerclan leader didn't really believe in monsters or anything like that, but felt compelled to check it out in case of an intruder. What he found instead was a familiar face covered from head to toe in seaweed, reeds, and whatever else happened to be picked up in the current...it was kinda gross, actually. With a silent note that he really shouldn't be surprised at this point, the leader strided forward and gave the other tom a curious look. "Windyhurricane, do ya have...any explanation for this?"
Thistlepaw rushed to her leader's side, panting, "Ratstar, NO! That isn't Windyhurricane, you mustn't go near it!" The ginger apprentice was frightened by the seaweed monster, and though she had gone with others to retrieve an older cat for safety, she certainly didn't want Ratstar to get eaten alive by the creature.
Windyhurricane looked back at the sea and then back at Ratstar, "No sir, I'm pretty bad with sciencey stuff. If I had to guess how we have a salt lake I'd say that water containing salt flowed into our river, but could not leave the lake. But because of SummerClan's warmer temperature the water evaporated leaving behind concentrated salt to be drunk up by the waves creating a salt lake and allowing more oceanic foliage to thrive here. I mean hey, your guess is really as good as mine, they really don't teach you much back in WinterClan like they do here," He said with a lazy smile before waving at Thistlepaw.
The tom was usually covered in debris and matted fur, it was weird to see him... Clean.
The apprentice shrieked as the seaweed monster waved at her and she gave up trying to persuade her leader to leave, racing behind him for safety and shaking. Ratstar was obviously confused, thinking the monster was someone he knew. But Thistlepaw was pretty sure that SummerClan apprentices would have been told about a seaweed creature in the Northern Sea, and if Ratstar had to ask to make sure the monster was this ' Windy hurricane ', there may even be MORE monsters! Oh StarClan, they were either doomed because their great leader had kept such a nasty secret or Thistlepaw was just an idiot for not knowing seaweed monsters existed in the first place.
