"It's a beautiful night to have a gathering, don't you think everyone?!" Calamityshrine swept his ice blue gaze across the clearing of cats, wearing a handsome smirk as he did so. His jaw nearly dropped to the ground as he realized...there were no cats there. "AWWWW where IS everybody?!" His whine filled the empty clearing and seemed to echo off the trees. Letting out a large yawn, he glided across to the center of the area and plopped his haunches down on the grassy flooring. "Well, well, well, Cal is the first to arrive. Just think about how much they'll admire my punctuality for once." He purred to himself, letting his tail thump the ground impatiently.

SWIFTCLAN "You're insanely early," laughed Mistralpaw, her typically pinched expression genuinely glowing with joy. "For one so old, you have a terrible sense of time." The SwiftClan medicine cat apprentice had taken a shine to the former FallClan leader after their banter the previous moon while gathering herbs. He was just light-hearted enough to keep her troubled thoughts away while not so crazy as to get her into trouble. It was really the perfect balance. Plus, he took her sarcastic sass very well. "Oh Ancient Sinky One," she drawled, glancing around the clearing, "It appears we've even beaten our own clan. What will Chimerastar think?"
"That you're both disobedient and need to be put on moss duty for a few moons until you learn some respect?" Chimerastar suggested. He wasn't far behind them with the rest of the clan; Mistralpaw's departure had not gone unnoticed. His half-gaze lifted to Cal and he arched a questioning brow, wondering if the tom had forgotten already he was no longer leader. It wouldn't surprise him if the thought slipped his former deputy's mind. He led the way into the clearing and lifted his head to scent for the other clans nearby, a little hopeful one of the mountain clans had brought his clan prey again. In true SwiftClan fashion, he'd brought every cat of the clan that wanted to come: warriors, apprentices, kits, anyone except for ghosts (not that Vulcan ever listened to him anyway).

SWIFTCLAN "Tempestkit, get back here! Mind your manners!" Heathersong's voice carried long before she appeared in the clearing, her eyes narrowed in a frown at the calico kit running out ahead of her with a self-righteous stride. The she-kit wasn't young at all - in fact, she looked apprentice-aged. It didn't much matter at the gathering, however, considering Chimerastar brought the entire clan, but it was a point of contention for the she-kit in question.
Tempestkit growled when her mother called after her, cheeks warming with embarrassment. How come Mistralpaw had been allowed to go ahead of the group and she wasn't? She was already six-moons old, and Chimerastar still hadn't promoted her, so she was stuck with the embarrassing 'kit at the end of her name. She looked around the clearing, hoping to find other cats, but was disappointed to see only SwiftClan had arrived so far.
"That's uncanny," mewed Mistralpaw with a wincing half-smile at Calamityshrine. "I could have sworn I heard Chimerastar chiding us. Must just be the wind...right?" She slowly turned around to see her leader glowering at them and winced. "Ah...Chimerastar. How kind of you to, erm, join us. I don't suppose Firetooth decided to stay at the camp and sort herbs, right?" Her distaste for her mentor wasn't a secret, but she was becoming more blase about it as she aged.
The dark-furred Tom beamed down on Mistralpaw with a grin that held humor, mischief, and the promise of payback later. His eye twitched as the jabs of ‘One so old’ and ’Ancient Stinky One’ met his body like kitten claws. He had just opened his mouth to respond with an equally snarky, but in a friendly banter sort of way, comment before the sound of Chim’s voice broke in. “Ahhh Mistralpaw, I believe you are correct. The wind is quite bossy tonight, huh? It should be praising us for showing up early instead of late, don’t you think?“ He drawled out, pricking one ear up and leaning towards the wind in a dramatic fashion and giving the Swiftclan leader a cheeky wink. “Awww Chim, lighten up. Don’t you just LOVE gatherings?!”
Flamingstar was not far behind, her expression bored. She wrinkled her nose as she noticed Tempestkit running ahead and misbehaving. "Ugh, I don't recall ever agreeing to have kits attending the gatherings." She mewed with disgust as she pushed passed Tempestkit with the rest of her clan, not even bothering with a polite greeting to each of the other leaders.
Beestripe followed his leader to the gathering, breaking off to allow him his space. The tom was surprised that no other clans were there yet. He settled into a spot at the front where all the action would be and waited patiently for more cats to arrive. Around him, his clan was being rambunctious. A kit raced by and he shook his head with a soft smile. Beestripe was originally a SpringClan cat, and in his time there, kits had never been allowed at the gatherings. It was odd being in a clan now that allowed it. Still, even if he disagreed with it, it was probably safer than leaving them unattended in an empty camp.
NightClan
Giantpaw entered the clearing, impatient for his first gathering. While he was absolutely not in the mood to associate with cats not of NightClan descent, the apprentice was ready to hear Flamingstar get to boast about how much better their clan was doing than all the rest. The large gray Persian noticed only one group was there and... were those kits running around? He did a double take and made a look of disgust. How uncivilized.

SWIFTCLAN Spot "Hey!" Tempestkit leveled a glare at Flamingstar when she was rudely shoved past, not knowing who the she-cat was. "Watch where you're going, you hag!" The proud she-cat hated the suffix on her name more than anything in that moment when Flamingstar made her comment about kits. She began to speak and defend herself by telling the other she-cat her age, but was cut off when Heathersong moved in front of her.
"That's enough, Tempestkit," mewed the queen sternly, lowering her head as Flamingstar passed despite giving the NightClan leader a deadly glare. "You need to stay out of the way and keep quiet. There are cats here that don't want to bother with kits right now, and they might be rude. Just hold your tongue, understand?" Had it not been a peaceful gathering, the queen would have been happy to knock Flamingstar's head off for touching her kit, but as it stood such actions had no place at the gathering.
Mistralpaw caught the latter part of the exchange between the NightClan leader and the others and shrugged it off, slightly embarrassed her sister had already started some kind of trouble. She waved her tail in polite greeting to Flamingstar as she approached, then turned back to Calamityshrine and Chimerastar. "Don't suppose anyone brought any extra prey with them, do you?"
Flamingstar halted in her tracks as Tempestkit so rudely called her a hag. She was about to turn around and give the kit something to cry about until the kit's mother stepped in and scolded her. Though the mother gave Flamingstar a glare, the Nightclan leader simply allowed it to roll over her shoulders for the sake of the truce and she continued her walk to her place, giving Tempestkit a sideways look. Her gaze then locked with Misteralpaw and she noticed the wave of her tail. The Nightclan leader nodded in return before taking her seat just beneath the tree the leaders sit on for the gathering.
eventide Squirrelleap heard the squeaky voice of a kit the tom's ears twitching as he cast a sideways glance towards Heathersong and Tempestkit. He tilted his head. 'Kits at a gathering, that's new,' The tom padded over to Heathersong and her kit. "Awfully small to be at a gathering," He noted nodding to the kit. "How old is she?" He asked, tone conversational rather than accusatory as he gave Heathersong his most charming smile.
cookie "Ugh, seriously? Some clans brought kits," Viridianpaw noted coming up to sit beside Giantpaw shaking his head in the direction of Tempestkit. Then grinning he leaned in closer. "Think they're making offerings for the big predators? Trying to cull some of their weak lot?" He whispered to Giantpaw

Swiftclan
As more leaders began to arrive, Calamityshrine let a curious smile spread across his muzzle. "Well, it looks like I should go mingle among the commoners now. Bye, important cats." He purred to the group, giving them a wink and sweeping his plumy tail across their cheeks before flouncing away. A part of him felt a sting of pain not being able to converse clan drama with the all-knowing leaders but he knew his decision had been the best for Fallclan. Speaking of, where were they? Nervousness and excitement made his paws shift in their place. "Come on, Cal, be social." He scolded himself before awkwardly casting a glance at the already-mingling cats.

SWIFTCLAN Jetclaw "She is six moons old," replied Tempestkit haughtily, resenting this stranger for talking over her to her mother. "And I'm small by nature. Look at my sister if you want proof!" She waved her tail at the diminutive Mistralpaw as proof. "It's rude to talk past someone standing right in front of you, you know." She somehow managed to look down at the warrior despite standing chest-high, her commanding presence undeniable.
"I'm sorry about her attitude," chuckled Heathersong, though she didn't correct Tempestkit's words. "Tempestkit is apprentice-aged, and will be promoted by Chimerastar in the next ceremony. I'm Heathersong, by the way. SwiftClan, if you couldn't tell. And you are...?"
Mistralpaw watched as Calamityshrine wandered away, looking in her eyes every bit a shy apprentice despite everything she knew about his personality. "I hope he'll be okay," she murmured mostly to herself, looking around for someone else to talk to. NightClan had arrived, but Flamingstar didn't seem interested in talking and it didn't look like their medicine cat had made it yet either.
Fallclan The light of the full moon only added to the eerieness as Hystericstar led his clan into the gathering, the shadows distorting his already misshapen body. Twisted whiskers twitched as the former medicine cat made his way through the gathered cats, already despising this. He would have to talk in front of possibly eleven clans-worth of cats, and have all of their attention on him. Not for the first time today, the new leader found himself longing for the peace of his former den and herbs, and the satisfaction of his experiments. His life had certainly become difficult, and he knew just who to blame for it. His golden eyes scanned the group, though he doubted that Fallclan's former leader would actually be here on time.
Casimir Navarro didn't even have his eyes opened yet, but some SwiftClan cat had carried him here and sat him down in an adorable pile with the rest of his siblings. Each of the four tortoiseshell toms were absolutely identical to one another from the dramatic divide right now the middle of their faces to the order of their pink toe beans. Casimir chirped in alarm to be out and about, no queen in their right mind would have brought kits this so far from home, but their mother had abandoned them. No one in SwiftClan wanted to stay back behind so... there they were.
Steepfall absolutely did not want to attend the gathering. He'd thought about skipping it but since SwiftClan brought the entire Clan with it it was hard for him to justify; besides, nothing really stayed secret for long. SunClan would know he had returned to the forest eventually, so why delay the inevitable? If he ran into Foxbane or Slaughterfish he really didn't know what he would do, but at least he could thank StarClan that there was a truce against violence tonight. He wrinkled his nose, the stench of SunClan carried to him from overhead. They were here.
SUNCLAN
Bloodyrondo was leading the charge as SunClan filtered into the gathering place. They approached in their typical gathering formation but it was certainly a bit less organized that usual. Many cats were tripping over others' tails; a couple even fell down the incline and just rolled for awhile. Littlestar was nowhere in sight.
Bloodyrondo was wearing beautiful body paint as always but it was slightly smeared and... was he speckled with blood?! It was probably just red paint... probably. He stumbled slightly as he took his place with the present leaders, "Fair weather tonight," He hiccuped, offering no explanation as to where his High Priestess was, "I see you brought the whole gang again, Chimerastar... how reckless..." He laughed, putting his paw on the other tom's shoulder and giving him a gentle shove, "... But that's your brand, right?! Oh SwiftClan, the biggest joke of them all, at least you all seem happy and well fed!"
RENEGADE REGIME Commander Shule, naturally, didn't intend to miss the gathering. Though, the moment she heard Bloodyrondo, she had half a mind to turn around and walk out. "If we're talking jokes, you should probably look at your own reflection." The mostly ebony feline stated rather pointedly, her head tilting to Flamingstar in greeting as she arrived. She did frown, however, at the sight of young children at the gathering. Even with a truce, that was hardly appropriate, or safe.
SUNCLAN Steepfall didn't have much of a chance to avoid anyone before he was completely knocked over, and suddenly staring up at the shocked face of Slaughterfish, as the warrior pinned him down with polydactyl paws. "I thought you were dead!"
"Commander Shule... Pleasure to see you, as always..." Bloodyrondo said after another bout of hiccups, removing his paw from Chimerastar's shoulders and inelegantly approaching the Renegade Regime she-cat. He locked eyes with her but for some reason was squinting even though he could literally reach out and touch her if he wanted to, "So when are you going to give me my Dusky back, huh? He belongs in SunClan." Her joke went right over his head, either that or he didn't even heard it. Seeing Shule reminded him of his best friend that he missed dearly so that's where his mind went.
SWIFTCLAN
Steepfall bristled and originally tried to fight his attacker away before he saw her polydactyl paws and heard that familiar voice. He remained a bit defensive but then again he had always been that way, "Slaughterfish..."
So SunClan thought he was dead? That was so, so convenient, no wonder he'd met so little resistance when he decided to desert all those moons ago. Now that his cover was blown, though... what next? At least the silver she-cat pinning him down seemed happy to see him, a little annoyed, not that he expected any less from his sister, "... Would you let me up now? You're making a scene." The less eyes on him, the better, "We can catch up but somewhere... safer."
Glowstar led her clan in fashionably late for a change. It was off since DayClan was famously the first to arrive at nearly every gathering. The cats of DayClan spilled into the gathering place like wild fire. Their golden, auburn pelts looking like flickering flames from an aerial view.
Instead of taking a seat on the tree where most leaders met she instead chose to socialize first. After all Swift, Night, Fall, Regime and Sun were the only clans present out of the eleven clans that lived on the land. Descriptions of her mixed from person to person. They said her eyes were like portals into the dark forest, hellish and deadly. Others described her voice as being gentle like summer breezes and harmonic as lullabies. But in the gathering the descriptions blurred. She didn't look like an angel born from harmony and love, but like a Goddess who shattered governments like glass and wore all her wondrous imperfections like diamonds. She had an air of confidence that only someone dangerously powerful could possess. She didn't just carry a strong presence, but standing beside her anyone could feel invincible. Her daring nature was contagious.
"Have fun everyone," Glowstar purred to her clan mates with a wink before looking to who was at the gathering already to talk to before noticing the new FallClan leader, "Hello there," She said respectfully to him lavellan
NIGHTCLAN
Creampuff skipped into the gathering with her younger sibling Tigerlily trailing beside her. "OH! Hey, does anyone wanna talk with us?" She asked gleefully.
SUNCLAN
Autumngossamer followed her clan into the gathering place with her paints. She hadn't had time to do her makeup so she was doing it here. She carefully applied the black paint to line her eyes before working down the rest of her body. She glanced around for Firetooth only briefly before focusing on herself once more. Maybe she would meet someone new.
"Hey stranger," Duskslayer said, coming up from beside him, "I wanted to make sure I sought you out tonight," He said gently, sitting down next to his friend.
RENEGADE REGIME
Sean stayed close to Commander Shule, not leaving her side for a moment as he scanned the perimeter. His self preservation was low so when Funk E'tan half drowned him he didn't take it personally. But after Shule took Funk E'tans life he became worried that he would come after her. "I know it's none of our business Shule, but... I was thinking, maybe we could go and talk to Flamingstar to see if her kits are Kotori's." Honeystorm
"There you are!" Bloodyrondo purred, leaned into Duskslayer like he was a pillar or something, overjoyed to see his best friend after what had felt like forever but realistically had been like maybe a week. He paused only to glare at Commander Shule before he continued to nuzzle, making sure to mark Dusky all over as SunClan. It was a little extreme but he was proving a point, "Now Dusky, the summer solstice is coming up, you may have missed most of our events but make sure you're in SunClan for the last event or else! Anyways, how are you doing? I hope you're eating well?" That last bit was pointed at Shule, of course Dusky wasn't, the Regime was staring and everyone knew it.
"You'll have him whenever he wants to come back." The Commander stated simply, glancing at Dusky as she spotted him, though she didn't much get the chance to consider saying anything before her mate took her attention. Not that she much minded. Bloodyrondo seemed to be out of it, for whatever reason, so she supposed it was best to move on. "Asking sounds like a wonderful way to lose your ears." She mused to Sean, though all the same she did drift towards the NightClan leader, choosing to sit beside her for the time being. "Faring well?"
"Then let's go, no time to waste." She certainly did seem eager, though with the expression she wore, like she was seeing a ghost for the first time again, that wasn't necessarily surprising. The silver and black feline practically seemed to try and drag him, green eyes glinting as she searched for a shadowy corner away from the others.

SWIFTCLAN Mistralpaw watched as Commander Shule, Bloodyrondo, Glowstar, and Hystericstar all approached where she stood near Chimerastar. She began to shrink back again, her bravado and new-found confidence paling as the leaders of so many clans grew near. "I'll just be...over here," she mewed meekly to her leader, giving Chimerastar a small nod as she backed away. It didn't seem like any of the clans to join had brought their medicine cats yet, if at all, and she began to feel incredibly awkward and out of her depth. Would she be the only healer there?
FALLCLAN Palestep used the blurry forms of her clanmates and the soft sound of their chatter to guide her into the gathering place clearing, milky blue eyes clearly seeing very little of the world around her. The FallClan warrior tended to attend gatherings, enjoying the variety they could inject into life, but was always a little nervous at being around so many cats with her disability. The scent of the different clans began to swirl around her, drawing a small smile from her. Her ears perked up when she heard a scuffle and then an emotional shout. There wouldn't already be drama starting, would there?
SUNCLAN Sanguinerose had entrusted her kits to Lionpride that afternoon, deciding to get out of camp for the first time in over two moons. Since the trouble that had come with Aconite's kitting, and then her own kitting shortly after, she'd been working nonstop to ensure all of her kits' health. At the urging of her fellow queens, she finally decided to leave the kits and go out on her own for an evening. Though she had been hesitant, the queen was actually relieved to find herself surrounded by other adult cats for the first time in what felt like forever. Her pain was carefully painted on in brilliant swirls across her flanks and chest, unblemished by her kits desire to climb on her like a rock.
Though she was uncomfortable talking to the Priest Promised so informally, she had just been to a family gathering in which she and he were apparently...distantly...? related. By matehood, not blood, but enough to be part of the same family tree. It was with this in mind that she approached the tom and gave him a small frown of disapproval when she heard his unkind comment about SwiftClan. She believed in SunClan's superiority as much as the next SunClanner, but his comments were rude and unprovoked as far as she could tell. "That wasn't kind," she mewed softly to him, trying to keep the other leaders from hearing her chastisement.
