The argument with her father Applecrisp has stung her pride. His correction over her how she bosses her sisters around had stung. Moons of pent up emotions from her mother leaving to her getting dumped on a father she never knew about had bubbled to the surface in a fire explosion. She stormed away from her father and any of her sisters who may have been around in the moment. Her paws carried her out of the nursery. Unsure of where her paws were carrying her she bolted for the dirt tunnel and sprinted. Tears stung her dark colored eyes as grass taller than her, leaves and branches hit her face. Her lungs burned in protest as she began to run out of breath. Her paw steps slowed to a halt. She froze looked around and realize she was lost.

The chaos left in Chestnutkit's wake had made it easy for Kiwikit to slip out of camp after her undetected, panting hard as she struggled to keep up with the older she-cat. She had only just met the other she-cat a few days ago, but she was really the only friend the gray kit had and it hurt her empathetic heart to see her in so much pain. When Chestnutkit finally stopped, Kiwikit skidded to a stop behind her, just missing bowling her over.
"Chestnutkit," she panted, eyes bright and worried. "Are you okay? You sounded really upset so I came after you to make sure everything is okay... Is everything okay?" Her gaze flicked around, realizing the same thing as her friend: they were lost. But it didn't seem to bother her too much - they were both kits and their scents were plain as day. As long as no predators came along, they were safe and sure to be found.
"He bothers me. I know he's my father, but he still bothers me. Bossing us around like he's been with us from day one. My mother dumps my sisters and I on him when she couldn't handle us anymore." Chestnutkit stated running out of breath as she explained to her friend what had bothered her. "He's not a horrible parent, but he nags a lot." She murmured under her breath.
