Be wary today of who or what you love, there is deception all around you. Trust in your instinct and stay away from the borders that might tempt your soul away from the Sun God’s loving embrace.
Unseenlight shivered as the horoscope was delivered to her from SunClan. How was it that even here the Sun God had been able to reach her, not only by the message but by the warning he gave. She had already been uneasy in the regime, but this new news made it even more difficult.... Should she return back to SunClan? At least for a little while... even if it was just to bask in his rays, to heade his words. She needed to speak with Duskslayer. They had the same zodiac sign, so surely he would have gotten the same message
When Unseenlight's found Duskslayer he was lying in his nest, his chin planted at the cusp of it. He let out a trembled sigh and buried his face into his arms. Usually he could sense her, know she was there and his world would be lit up again, but this time he seemed swallowed up in his own thoughts. His turquoise eyes peered out at his claws as guilt filled his heart like a murky haze. All of his emotions felt lost in the misery and hate he felt towards his own self. He kept telling himself that he had no choice, but maybe that wasn't true or maybe he was just like his brother. The world around him felt like static, white noise, like his mind was his entire world.

Even though she couldn't see him, the silence that greeted her arrival was more than enough to clue her in on his state of mind. She moved one paw forward, clumsily feeling around until she placed it onto his. She tilted her head slightly, silent questions written onto her face, but instead of asking them she just wanted to be there for him in that moment. Whatever was going on with, she wanted him to know that she was here for him.
Duskslayer blinked, seemingly waking up from his sorrow at her comforting touch. He wiped at his eyes before sitting up, "I had to kill someone at the border today," He said, his speech wobbly. He breathed in carefully a few times, allowing his breath to come out shaky until he felt some level of control over himself, "When Foxbane was captured by Renegade Regime and everyone was on edge I was an apprentice. There was a Spy named Xuxa who kidnapped and tormented me for hours before my siblings who were cadets here saved me from her. Xuxa was exiled recently and when I found her she was attacking a cadet just like she did to me. She wouldn't surrender and I had to kill her." The last part came off of his tongue emotionless, like he repeated the statement in his head so many times it had lost all meaning.
"I'm always afraid that if I kill someone I won't be able to stop. I'm still afraid of that... The moment an Eerie kills they always kill again, I'm afraid of losing myself," Duskslayer admitted, his teary turquoise gaze meeting Unseenlight's with fright, but she could already hear it in his voice. Before he could feel moments of darkness circulate through him, but he could always snap out of it, resist. Now he wondered if the darkness would swallow him whole whole.

Unseenlights leaned in pressing her nose to his cheek as she tried to find words that swirled around her mind like leaves in autumn. She knew what she wanted to say but none of the words she managed to capture seemed right. She could smell the fear coming off of him in waves, along with something much darker "You did what needed to be done, because of your actions others will be saved from such a fate" she paused licking his cheek.
"Duskslayer, you may be an Eerie but you are a lot more than that. You are an artist, one of the best painters in SunClan. You are a sculpter. Who challenged the boundaries of whats possible so that I could see your art. You are a great friend. A cat that others trust above all the others. You are dedicated. When your family needed you, you returned here to help save them. I could keep listing all of the things that you are, but even if I kept going until my muzzle turned silver I would never be able to express all that you are" she cuddled in closer wrapping her tail around his
"You see Dusky, even if it's true that being an eerie is part of who you are its not ALL that you..." Unseenlights felt her heart thrum in her chest "No matter how dark the world gets around you, there will always be a light to guide you" she pressed her paw to his chest, feeling his heart beat under her pad
Duskslayer was silent for a moment before embracing her. Her warmth resonated inside of him, he didn't feel alone, not so long as he had one paw over hers. He never felt like he could be anything outside of an Eerie, it never even struck him as an option before. But she was right, he was more than his blood, he was his own person. Maybe there would be a dark part of him inside of himself, but he was in control of himself. Even if it was intimidating, that maybe he would lose control, in shadowy moments in time like this she was his light. "There's one other thing I'd like to be. I want to be your mate, but Lights, I'm fearful of ever raising kits in SunClan. I'm loyal to SunClan, my hearts in it, but I can't imagine putting any future kits into such a strict society. I know I'm really talking ahead, but I can't help think about the future. I don't want to imprison you or me in a future where we can't have what we always dreamed of having. I always wanted a family with kits, but for as long as we're in SunClan, I know that's not a destiny I want. So if being a mother is what you want then I'm not the one."
Getting lost in someone's eyes just about summed up Duskslayer's eyes. It was easy to get lost in that sea of turquoise blue, his gaze was hypnotizing and so serious. Anyone could tell that he was announcing one of the most serious things he ever would and was now waiting for the most important answer in his life. Was he still worth staying with?
"Then we won't have kits" she replied, her answer was simple enough but the weight behind her response was clear "Duskslayer, I am in love with YOU. Not the idea of you, but YOU" she emphasized her words, as she took her other paw and cupped his face gently, and pulling it closer.
"When I think about the future, all I see is you and I side by side. Kits, no kits, SunClan, Renegade Regime, DayClan, all of that is just the setting of our story. This tale is about you and I, we are the ones who get decided what story we want to tell" she pressed her nose up against him, knowing how much courage it must have taken to say what had been weighing so heavily upon his heart. She had spent the past several days trying to figure out what it was that he wanted to to tell her so badly but couldn't seem to put words to
He felt himself completely unravel, like for so long he had strung himself up until he became stuck. For so long he felt this moment would end with her walking away. That he would be left stranded and more trapped in his own mind than he ever had. Instead he felt free for once, he should have never even doubted her. This was who he wanted to be with, he always knew that, yet for a long time he was afraid of that truth. But now that he had been completely honest there was nothing to fear.
Duskslayer relaxed and for the first time leaned into her instead of her leaning into him. He smiled lightly, "Then I better not get too comfy and work on surprising you with a proposal because now you're going to expect it. Would you want to get married someday soon?" He asked, pulling away to look at her. Maybe this wasn't the right moment, but he wanted it to be. He had this weight on his heart for moons, now that it was lifted he only had that one question left.
Unseenlights felt the heat rush to her face, having gone from thinking that he was going to break up with her to a proposal and talk of weddings. It was so unexpected, and yet so right in that moment that she couldn't have hidden the rumble of her purr that followed even if she had wanted to "I was just starting to think my muzzle would turn gray before you got around to asking" she teased gently cuffing his ear
"I have believed since our first date that I would end up marrying you one day" she leaned forward a smile still stretched across her face "but like all good things, you are worth waiting on"
"Heh, you have a point," He said bashfully, he could feel the curve of her lips spread beneath his cheek. A flash of color spread thick against the soft edges of his face, he wondered briefly if she could feel his face get hot at her affection. His voice smoothed over, warm with excitement, "So, let's not do anything flashy, we've both waited long enough. Unseenlights, I want you in my life, you don't see it, but when you smile I fall apart every time. I treasure every moment with you, I live those moments and when I drift off into sleep I replay our times together because their better than any dream I can have. I used to wonder where I fit in, if I was living in the right place, but I never think that way anymore. You give me a kind of peace of mind that people who have everything they could ever ask for only dream of having. I am so blessed to have someone like you in my life," He said with such a brightness that anyone passing by could have thought he was referring to a Goddess, "Please Unseenlights, will you do me the honor of marrying me?"

"Was there ever any doubt that I would say yes?" her voice was soft and sweet pulling him into an embrace unable to hide the waves of pure joy that engulfed the blue depths of her eyes "Marrying you would make the happiest cat in the all the clans, so yes. YES I will marry you!" she pulled him into a kiss, taking her time and just enjoying the moment as everything around them seemed to fade away. It was moments like that she lived for, when it was just the two of them and nothing else mattered
Slowly she pulled away, and amused giggle filling the air "You know what this means right?"
