The Adorable
There is someone who needs protecting and it is you. Be wary of the skies where the hawks fly and the tall grass where the foxes stalk. Your life is in great danger today. Put on your best yellow paint designs to increase your chance at survival.
///////////////////////////// Really? There was no way that Honeysplash was going to cower in fear over some silly prophecy. No he was going to go about his day as usual, though he did add a little more yellow to his paint designs than normal today.
No longer a kit stuck in the nursery, Pollenpaw was free to move about camp without her mother stopping her, and of course the young she-cat had her mind set on one thing alone and that was staying by her fathers side despite the moons of detachment he tried to force between them; he didn't visit the nursery much but now it didn't matter, she was finally free to go to him whenever she pleased. Spotting him in the distance, applying the last of the yellow paint to his coat she felt a tingle of excitement and began to trot towards him. "Hello Father! Wow thats a lot of yellow paint." She blurted as she neared him enough to inspect the designs now weaving along his fur.
Swelteringeclipse was pleased to return to her warrior duties now that her children were apprentices, though it felt odd not being surrounded by the tiny mewls and scents of milk. She had also noticed her daughter, more determined than ever to gain her fathers attention, even now she sat watching as Pollenpaw approached Honeysplash, curious how the tom would react and if he would spot her watching and come to her for help in evading the ever persistent apprentice.

Honeysplash sighed "Autumngossmer wouldn't let me leaver her den without it. Something about some sort of danger looming over my head" he chuckled, not realizing his mistake in telling her about the horoscope that he had received "Look I have a hunting patrol that I am needed on, and now that you are an apprentice I am sure that you have duties to. I don't want to hear any reports of you slacking" he replied firmly rising up to his paws to leave
Pollenpaws eyes widened, pools of brown now filled to the brim with worry at the mention of her father being in danger. "She said you would be in danger... how can you take that so lightly!" Her voice cracked slightly as she spoke but she quickly regained her composure and gave Honeysplash a firm nod. "My mentor has given us the day to as we please, and i'm sure they wouldn't mind me tagging along to make sure you don't get hurt." She smiled knowingly, waiting for his rebuke, but planting her paws firmly to show she wouldn't be swayed from her decision.

Honeysplash could barely believe his ears, but then again this was Pollenpaw. The same she-cat who as a kit had snuck into the mate choosing ceremony to ensure that he wouldn't pick someone other than her mother. "You take these things to seriously..." he sighed, looking out into the welcoming sandstone that had been awaiting him "Look I believe in the Sun God, but I don't believe prey bones can predict the future" it was a line that he just wasn't willing to cross "But it will make you feel better to come along, than be my guess"
