Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Unseenlights had never felt quite so isolated and alone. She had bravely followed Duskslayer into the depth's of the Renegade Regime, but she couldn't shake the uneasiness that seemed to follow her every where that she went now that the sun's rays didn't warm her pelt. The nest that she shared with dusky in the warriors.. no what did they call them here again? Anyway their nest felt cold with him out on patrol, the walls of the never ending tunnels suffocating. She stayed for him, but she knew that she wasn't welcome her. Even without her sight she could feel the flaming gazes every where she went. In their eyes she was a SunClan monster, a creature they couldn't understand or understand them.

Unseenlights was a SunClan monster. Perhaps. Shule wasn't necessarily so quick to judge. Certainly, the ideal was to have Dusky with someone not part of a cult, but thus far, other than general distaste for the SunClan cats in the Regime, Dusky, Unseenlights, even Darkcomplex, Lex, Dusky's adoptive father who left SunClan to stay here. Trust wasn't easy to come by, but it could be earned, and the Commander had never been the type to burn bridges before even attempting to build them.
As she would have it, Dusky's den wasn't really in what would have been considered the warrior's den. The equivalent didn't really exist, as Mercenaries resided in Headquarters, which would have been considered main camp, and Scouts, what Dusky and Lex had chosen to be, resided in Post Echo, which would be more akin to having a den in the same room you had your freshkill pile.
Today, the leader figured it was about time to have a true talk with Unseenlights. She had been rather busy helping the Regime fend off starvation that she had been rather aloof, more than intended. Not so any longer. "Unseenlights?"

Unseenlighs ear flickered towards where her name had been called, jumping slightly. She recognized the voice and the scent from when Dusky had first brought her to the Regime and introduced her, but they had had never really spoken since then... In fact most cats here gave her a wide circle, avoiding more than the most basic of communication with her "Shule... Good morning... evening?" she had tried to return the she-cats greeting warmly, even though she had messed up. it was difficult for her to tell time in this place, and the days seemed to be blending into one another rather seemlesssly. How long had she been away from home? She honestly didn't know.

Commander Shule's mouth twitched at the corners, the barest hint of a sympathetic smile crossing her features. She knew the feline was blind, a trait not all too common in the Regime. Not unheard of, but it wasn't often cats in the group were blind. San had been blind, and her relatives made up the only two cats with blindness in the regiment. Noceur, San's son, blind in one eye, and Snowella-tyke, San's granddaughter and the late Xuxa's child. With time, the tunnels became easy to navigate, though she suspected it was far easier for those born underground than those used to open spaces such as the SunClan warrior.
"It is morning, you're correct." She assured, her tone formal, but not unkind. "Would you like to go to the surface? I'm sure you've about had it with the tunnels. You wouldn't be the first to have difficulty adjusting anyway." It wasn't said out of pity, rather simply acknowledging she was struggling, and that she wasn't alone in it, even if Shule hadn't had such experiences.

Unseenlighs nodded at the affirmation of her assumption, but she couldn't help but feel like there was something off about this situation. Why would the commander suddenly come to speak with her alone, after not speaking more than a few words to her since arriving here. She forced herself to remain calm, after all there was no evidence that Shule had any ill intent... just a gut feeling of uneasiness. Still, it was better to air on the side of caution. Down here she feared even the Sun God would have trouble saving her "I would like, however I promised Duskyslayer that I would wait here for him. I wouldn't want him to worry"
"Do you know how long until he'll be back? I'm sure Scout Lex is around, we could let him know where we'll be if it'll be some time." Shule offered. Lex, of course, being Duskslayer's adoptive father, Darkcomplex, who'd recently turned his back on SunClan. Though anyone with a bit of sense knew the tom would kill to protect Dusky. The Commander didn't want to make the she-cat uncomfortable, though she didn't also seem like the type to want to wait. "I wanted a chance to talk with you alone. I haven't had the opportunity before now."

Unseenlighs slowly nodded in agreement, knowing there wasn't much that she could do to argue with the regimes leader. "Very well, as long as Lex delivers the message..." She was still a little reluctant not fulling trusting the she-cat but with so much bad blood between the two groups it was hard for her not to be suspicious. Especially not knowing where they were going or when they would be back.
"Oh, I don't doubt he'll pass it along, and I don't doubt that if I let you get so much as a scratch, he'd be the first at my throat." Shule mused, giving a slight chuckle. She didn't know Lex well, admittedly, but she could easily see how much the tom cared. And she meant what she said. If she let Unseenlights get hurt, he'd be first in line to fight back against her, as annoying as it might be. But she appreciated it.
It wasn't hard to find the tom, of course. He was milling about and had been watching them for a bit now. "Lex, over here a moment please." Not that it took much prompting for him to come over. "Unseenlights and I are going to go for a bit of a walk on the surface. We'll be at the southernmost point of where our border touches with SwiftClan's old land, if you need us. If we're not back by noon come looking. Is there anything you'd like to add, Unseenlights."
Lex could see the discomfort on Unseenlights' face and stepped in close, gently resting his tail across her shoulders.
