Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.

Valeray-tyke was startlingly bitter for a kitten. Mother dead, by his father's side of the family, created for the sole purpose of procreation and being another body to be thrown away. Forced into a destiny he didn't even want, all predetermined, laid out before him without ever getting his own say. And now that Xuxa was gone, well, that wall all the more pressure to pursue his 'fated' place, wasn't it. Already, Raisers were having difficulty with him. No one could force him to do anything, and punishments of time outs meant nothing, he'd just find a way to nap or something else. Which made him a rather troublesome child.
At current, the violet eyed tom was pretending to ignore the fact the Raisers had 'suggested' he take a nap, and was currently searching for someone, no one in particular. Hopefully someone who wouldn't be too bossy.
"Valeray-tyke, please come back to the nest," Sapphira-tyke was stuck with the same destiny as her brother. Predetermined, set out before her, boxes to check. While she viewed it was the same distaste, after the death of their mother she had reached a quiet acceptance. Battle came natural to her. She was quick, sure-footed and seemed to zero in on her opponent's weakness like an owl would a mouse. Mercenary, Xuxa had said, You will be a mercenary.
Her heart, though, it wasn't in it. Following after her brother as he stormed away from Post Kilo was sort of a rebellion. It was truer to who she dreamed of being. Sapphira-tyke wanted to be a Raiser and had always been drawn to taking care of other kits even though she was one herself, "You and I both know you are tired."

"Then I'll find my own place to sleep. One far away from this post." He stated determinedly, though really, he was tired. Valeray was pushing back against everything and anything just because he could. If he couldn't be happy, then everyone could be dragged down with him as far as he was concerned. He didn't understand how Sapphira could accept her fate. It wasn't fair. Why couldn't he just make his own choice? Why did he need to be forced into something he didn't even want. Only because his mother wanted it, and he fit the traditional traits?
"Quit being a drama queen," Sapphira-tyke said sternly. She bounded ahead of her brother and blocked his path; they were supposed to stay in Post Kilo and that was final. She was a rule follower, perhaps the only one in her litter, and had taken it upon herself to act as their mother in the absence of Xuxa, "I don't want to have to drag you back but I can and I will."

"Go for it. I'd like to see you try." Valeray-tyke countered, taking a running leap right over her head not a moment later. Even if he barely made it, and stumbled a few steps from the impact on tired paws. "The Raisers will be glad for the break, but you can go kiss up to them if you want. I won't wait up." Of course, he then just had to give a huge yawn, irritated with his own body's betrayal. But sleepy or not, he wasn't just going to let them win. Besides, they'd probably wake him up sooner than he wanted, telling him he'd be unable to sleep through the night if he took too long a nap now. They were right, of course, but he wasn't about to admit it.
"Valeray!" Sapphira-tyke growled, she didn't swipe at him while he was mid-air and instead spun around so she'd be facing his new direction when he landed. The bluish silver she-cat was giving her brother the nastiest look but started grinning when he yawned. She was right in that aspect at least, although it was a little embarrassing when she felt herself yawn in response, "You're not giving the Raisers a break, you're giving them a headache. I'm going to count to three and on three you better be standing next to me. Okay... ready? One... Two... Three..."

With each count, Valeray, naturally, took another few tiny steps away from her. And, on three, he was racing away. Well, running was probably an exaggeration at this point. More like an easy jog at best. "Well, they can have a headache then!" he countered, heading further down the tunnel.
