Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Her baby blue eyes gazed at the she-cat in front of her, studying her. She hadn't ever conversed with the she-cat that she was sitting with, and it made Avette just barely on edge. However, it settled her to know of the she-cat's brother, Hywel, whom she had spent at least one pleasant afternoon. Plus, there was some solidarity to be felt for the other cat who was almost equally as new. This wasn't necessarily the time to analyze that, though, nor was it time to be in community with the Other that being an outsider created of cats. After all, the Archbishop hadn't called upon the cat so that they could make friendly chatter; although such was useful at certain times, it would distract from the task at hand, and she wasn't interested in wasting too much time. Still, she had to be sure before she asked. She'd conversed about her decision with Leviathan, and he had confirmed her choice, but in the end, he had left it to her, and, knowing the potential that this cat would one day succeed her to the throne, she knew that she couldn't make any decision lightly. Even though the other looked good on paper, it did not mean that she was the perfect candidate, and Avette was decidedly certain she would know for sure by the end of this interaction.
"Rhiannon," she greeted after one last moment of intensive analysis of the cat's form. "Thank you for meeting me here today." She glanced down to the water that sat besides them. What a fitting place for her to make her final determination. After all, it was the water that brought her to MoonClan, and it was the water that gave her the Sight, a curse and a blessing all at once. It was also the place in which she felt most comfortable doing business. It was far enough away from camp that no one could hear. It wasn't a completely isolated spot during the night, though, which made it a place in which she found peace.
"I apologize that we haven't met sooner or under different conditions. I had been meaning to introduce myself before, but," she paused to let out a soft chuckle, "here we are. Despite the fact we haven't formally met, though, I've noticed you have excellent skill levels, and I am impressed by your performance since your arrival." Her tail flicked as she tipped her head, as not to give up too much information at once.
