Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Honeycream, one of the softest warriors, was given an apprentice. Many had questioned the judgement of their leader when assigning the cat scared of his own shadow and a known flower picker as the mentor to an imprisonable mind. But it was too late. They'd have to wait for him to fail and then go "I told you so" to their dear leader. Until then, Honeycream was in charge of teaching this young mind how to be a warrior.
Head slightly poking into the apprentice den, the cream colored tom called out, "hmm..hello?"
The small tom cat raised his head as he heard the warrior call out. He had been pretending to sleep for a while, but all he wanted to do was run around in circles. More than once he had been yowled at by other apprentices for fidgeting too much in his nest, and his restlessness was something that he was trying his best to control. Even so, Swiftpaw had so much trouble fighting the urge to take a run at the break of dawn.
"Honeycream, is that you? Is it time for training?" Swiftpaw asked excitedly, seeing the warrior poke his head in. He was so pumped to be finally training, even if he didn't know much about his mentor. He was ready to learn, and most of all to be able to put his excessive energy to good use.
Honeycream blinked, surprised for a moment at the eagerness of the apprentice but then he remembered how he was and how everyone else acted as apprentices. While he may have been more subdued than his denmates, he was still excited about learning and getting out into the world. "Yes, it's me Swiftpaw. I take it you're ready?"
“Ready as ever,” the apprentice bound over to his mentor, accidentally kicking moss and other pieces of bedding everywhere. He felt a little bad for disturbing his den mates sleeping places though the excitement of his first day of training quickly overcame the guilt. “What’s the plan for today!”
sleepy want me to tag some other people from the nursery, elders, staff, etc. for them to met or interact with while doing stuff in camp? Otherwise I have a warrior and queen in SpringClan as well that I can use and you're welcome to use any of yours too.
Honeycream peered at the mess behind the kit. "Well..I was thinking we...w-we could go over your tasks for in camp. Like cleaning, and tick removal, and...and tending to the nursery." The tom lowered his head, knowing that's probably not what the cat wanted to hear, that they'd be staying in camp. But he had something to prove just as much as the apprentice did. That he could be a compatible and responsible mentor.
