Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.

Are you an active member in SunClan? Want to prove it? Well this is your chance! This is SunClan's first contribution race. Your goal is to have the most contributions on this thread by June 21st - the summer solstice. ANYONE and EVERYONE with a SunClan character can participate in this. It should be a lot of fun, and I look forward to seeing all of your replies. However before we start here are a few things for you to keep in mind.
You are not allowed to reply back to back. Between each of your posts, two other roleplayers should be allowed to respond. For example, posts should look like Racer----Faith----Jadie--- then racer could make her next contribution. This is to keep two users from going back and forth with one another and not giving anyone else the chance to participate.
You may play multiple characters on this thread, however each post that you make only counts as one contribution towards the total. The exception is if two other rpers have responded in between your two replies. Then it would count as 2.
Replies must be at least 5 sentences long. Even though this is a contribution race, your replies should be on topic and have some meat to them. Short replies, or replies that are not relevant to the current thread will NOT count towards your contribution count.
ANYONE can participate and jump in on this thread at any time, as long as your character is in SunClan. You do not have to ask permission or be responding from the beginning in order to participate. However your character must go to each of the stations in order to move onto the next. When your character arrives at a station, tag a janus
The winner of this contest will get to work with the SunClan staff to design a new paint symbol for SunClan cats to wear on their pelts, and be given special recognition on the summer solstice.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Littlestar watched as the clans warriors and apprentices lined up to participate in a race through their territory. The race would take them through several areas of the territory where a Janus waited at each of the locations to give them a stamp on their leaf. The first cat to collect all of the stamps and make it back to the camp would be the winner. The cats would have to go to each of the stations in row, and were not allowed to skip a station and comeback. There were several...surprises... in store for those participating that she and the Janus had seen to personally. The stations had not yet been reveled, as she watched the participants get ready to run. Everyone was decked out in their best paint. Everything had been carefully planned to prevent cheating, although she was sure that some would try.

Unseenlight gently nudged Duskslayer on the shoulder playfully as the cats of SunClan began to chatter among themselves waiting on the announcement of the first station of the relay race. Being back home for a few days had helped her feel a little more comfortable and confident "Duskslayer, would you do me the honor of being my partner?" While this was more of an individual competition there was no rules about not working together. Faith //////////////
Tinymutiny ducked down, keeping down low as to avoid the ever watchful eye of her mate. She knew that he wouldn't approve of her participation in the even, but she wasn't about to allow that to stand in her way. He had forced her to stay cooped up in the warrior's den ever since Foxbane had revealed that she was carrying kits. She was starting to show, her sides becoming more swollen by the day even though she was still really early on in her pregnancy. She had hoped to keep it hidden from most of the clan for at least a few more moons, but apparently the kits had other ideas. She kept one eye on Oakshade, carefully weaving her way through the crowd to keep herself out of eyesight even as he called out her name searching for her Jadie //////////////
Lovesmitten waltzed up to Autumngossamer a mischievous look in his eyes upon his approach. Most of the time Autumngossamer was to busy helping run things to participate, but it seemed that this time the Janus were running it all and that the pair would actually have a little bit of time to do this as a team "Darling, you and I are going to win this this" he promised, licking the nape of her neck. There was no question in his words, only sheer determination and confidence in their bond Faith //////////////
Lionpride smiled looking up from the kits at Sanguinerose "You should go and have some fun to. You have hardly left the nursery in moons, let me watch all the kits for a little while" he purred looking own at the sleeping bundles "Mousekit is doing a little better, I promise I can handle it" eventide //////////////
Shadowbard looked rather amused as the crowd gathered, even though he was a rather competitive cat he had found a new favorite past time in his relationship with Nikko. With everyone going to be out of camp for the day.. well he could see a better way to make use of their time "Hey Nikko, I have a better idea" a purr rumbled in his throat as he leaned down and whispered in his ear 'Instead of going out on some wild goose chase, how about we make it a day in" he wrapped his tail around his mate's Faith //////////////
Applecrumbled sat at the entrance to the nursery with her cheeks puffed out "Mom, it's not fair that THEY get to go out and have fun while I am stuck here" she pouted. She had wanted to go out and enjoy the celebration but Mistyrose refused to watch her kits long enough, and she didn't trust that Kissy would keep them out of trouble. Besides it wasn't like she had a mate here that she could pawn them off on in order to go FaithJadie //////////////
Innocentlament watched quietly as the clan got excited about the event. She would be participating, but not really for herself. She wanted to keep an eye out on her siblings, and various relatives that had found their way into SunClan from the league. In particular she was rather worried for Funkson... They were getting rather full of himself since their promotion to Janus, and she could only imagine what horror of a test they had managed to come up with. She was also worried about ruinedportrait and how her sister. They two were growing apart, perhaps today would be a chance for them to reconnect @samiam Honeystorm //////////////
Honeysplash beamed with pure joy at the thought of the festival, of course girls were on the forfront of his mind. With so many new cats in the clan, he couldn't help but eye them up and down. Phantom //////////////
"Always," Duskslayer smiled, his paw moving over hers as he touched her nose. "Although fair warning, I'm a pretty average runner." He added sheepishly.
"OH yeah!? Well you're going- Oh, of course, a team, yes, exactly what I was thinking," Autumngossamer teased her mate. She blushed at his loving affection and nuzzled into him, "I love you," She purred pressing her forehead against his.

"Shadowbard, I love the way you think," Nikkohydrangea said, his head was tilted up staring into the blue sky before turning to look at his mate. "I'm thinking cuddling, making out, nest forts, and my new hobby feeding a flock of crows and throwing the bird feed into SunClan camp."

"You may go Applecrumbled," Mistyrose said giving a firm approving nod to her daughter, "I understand, you're young, being a mother at this age can be a burden, but family should never be a weight on you. I am your family too, go have fun like a girl your age should do. I'll watch your kits."

Gingersnap nudged Dapplebreeze, "Hey, are you ready for this race? I can hardly believe it! Y'know when I was a kit I'd get tired of running sometimes so if you get tired during the race you can ride on my back!" Her smile softened a degree, "It's really scary being a janus so we gotta stick together right? When the Sun God chooses you it's not a yes or no question so we have to enjoy these fun moments while we can," She beamed.
Harvestpaw's tail intertwined around his sisters, his brown fiery gaze locked ahead, "Her Sweetpaw, you ready to be our big sister Gingersnap?" He asked grinning at her and Dappledbreeze. The two didn't look alike. Harvestpaw and Sweetpaw were clearly a tabby somali mix while Gingersnap looked like a purebred Siamese. But although Gingersnap was adopted the family was incredibly close to the point that the word adopted wasn't even used among the family.
He hadn't just wanted to race with Sweetpaw though, he wanted to race with Flawedperspective. She had helped raise him when his mother couldn't so she always had a special place in his heart. She truly was a second mother to him. "Hey Flawedperspective have you ever done a race like this before?" Harvestpaw asked.
Oakshade had checked the Warrior's den before leaving for the relay event and had not been able to find Tinymutiny. He'd told her pretty much as soon as he heard of this event that she should not attend, which of course meant she was definitely somewhere in the crowd. The small silver she-cat had the advantage here; she was small, quick and sneaky, while Oakshade was none of those things. She'd see him coming from miles away and would have plenty of time to hide herself. He lashed his tail but despite his worry he was a little excited. racer

"OMG you know what this means, Applecrumble? TEAM CARAMEL APPLE!" Caramelcream purred, rubbing her heard against Applecrumble's. Since some of these checkpoints were sure to be a test of knowledge and quick thinking, there was very little hope that the big caramel she-cat would make it more than half way through the event on her own. She wasn't stupid she just got distracted very easily. Odds were she would find something more interesting between checkpoints and wander off in pursue of it. Forming a team was her only hope, "Mom thank you for watching the kits, I really wish you could have come with us though!" racerFaith

Wolfpaw sat next to Divinehope at her checkpoint and sighed. He hated events like this and would have been nowhere near it had he not owed Divinehope a favor. He wasn't sure exactly what he was supposed to do but whatever it was he made sure to look as miserable as possible. Spot

This type of challenge was right up Discordantmelody's alley. She loved sneaking around and playing mind games. It was like Littlestar and Bloodyrondo designed this for her. Usually one to stick to the edges of crowds, but today the calico she-cat stood front and center, eager to get started. She wore very little body paint so she could rely on her dark-furred pelt a little bit more.
Pollenpaw stood a few paces away from Honeysplash as the group around them grew, it didn't take much for her to notice the way he was looking at the she-cats as they fawned over him. She let out a snort of disgust and marched to his side, shoving aside any she-cat in her path. "We can race together dad, it will be perfect bonding time." Her eyes narrowed as she scanned over the horde of females, daring any of them to step closer or argue with her. She pressed closer to Honeysplash, as if trying to ensure he wouldn't escape, although he would have a hard time getting to far if he did try to run, she would be ready. racer
"Ugh." Sweetpaw screwed up her face as she watched the affectionate greeting between her parents. Did they have to be so disgusting in public? Harvestpaw wasn't much better, trying to bring Flawedperspective into the race. She wanted it to be just the two of them like it always was, without any warriors around. "Yeah," she answered him unenthusiastically, "we're going to outrun Gingersnap so much she won't even see our backs as we run past her!" The tangle of words didn't sound quite right on her tongue, but whatever, he got the idea.

Unseenlights seemed to beam as she purred and rubbed up against her mate. "That is ok, I am not the fastest runner myself, so at least you won't be leaving me in the dust" she placed her paw lightly on his, always feeling more comfortable with him at her side. Her long black fur intertwined with his and she closed her eyes "I wonder what sort of tests the Janus came up with" Faith //////////////
"I love you to! Let's go show SunClan what it means to be a real couple" he teased back letting his tail lightly tickle her flank. Lovesmitten couldn't wait, a whole day with just the two of them seemed like just what they needed at the current moment. A day without soothsayer duties interfering, a day where they could be just like any other couple in the clan. Faith //////////////
Shadowbard couldn't help as a delighted grin spread across his face "It is as if you were reading my exact thoughts. As soon as all the hooligans get out of here it is a date!"Faith //////////////
Applecrumble looked at her mother in disbelief. Thus far she had been doing everything in her power to force her to stay in the nursery, but she wasn't one to sit around asking questions when and opportunity presented itself like that. She nodded at her sister, even though Carmelcream was not the brightest cat, her strength could prove useful in some of these events "Sounds great sis!!" she chirpped cheerfully making her way over before dipping her head to Mistyrose "Thank you" Faith, Jadie //////////////
Tinymutiny muttered under her breath, seeing Oakshade's gaze scanning the crowd for her as she ducked down behind some stones. Luckily he was huge and hard to miss, while she was a lot smaller and far more stealthy. She observed his lashing tail, knowing that if she was found out that there was sure to be a conflict. She would just have to make sure to stay out of his gaze for the time being. She would rather not have a repeat of last time when he and her mother just about killed one another Jadie //////////////
Honeysplash had finally decided on his target for the day, when he suddenly felt warmth as his daughter plastered herself to his side. He felt his face flush as he turned his baby blue eyes on her "Pollenpaw" he greeted even though he had to admit that she had a habit of always showing up at the worst time possible. "Sweetie, I thought you and Buzzingpaw were going to be racing together. I wouldn't want you to let him down" obviously this was just a crude escape attempt, but he couldn't bring himself to just outright tell her no. All Pollenpaw had to do was pout and he would find himself begging for forgiveness "He was really looking foraward to today"Phantom //////////////
Harvestpaw snickered at his sisters expression, "I don't know how they do it, being that affectionate. If I got a mate then I wouldn't have time to hang with you, seems like a major downfall."
Duskslayer glanced ahead wondering the same thing, it really depended on the Janus. "I actually never used to do stuff like this," He said suddenly, "I want you to know that when I signed up for a blind date I decided that if I didn't find love that I was going to leave SunClan. And it was weird because after I met you I didn't really care where my life was going so long as it was with you."
"You got it," Autumngossamer purred before looking back at him, "Everything's better with you, I mean it, everything. And like, sometimes I feel like you doubt if you're worthy of me, but don't, promise? Because I promise you I'm being honest when I say you're more than worthy of me, you're everything I could ever want and break if I lived without. So when we come out of this race let's be more of a couple than when we started," She said with a lick across the snout.
Pollenpaws brown eye met his blue ones as he spoke, her lips curving down in the start of a frown. "Buzzingpaw will understand, besides he has mother and don't forget about Wasppaw and Hornetpaw, the three of them can have a boys thing or something." She had grown accustomed to her father trying to worm his way out of spending time with her but instead of deterring her it only made her work harder. "Besides, i'll be a much better race partner than any of them." Her eyes fluttered to the she-cats, her voice purposely loud so they would hear. racer
Dapplebreeze smiled appreciatively at Gingersnap. She was happy to finally be acknowledged and included in things. "I'm really good at running," she said, but still her legs were tiny and the offer was sweet. "Anyway, I think the whole thing will be fun, not just the race!" Nothing scary had happened to her yet, that one ceremony aside. And really there hadn't been a reason for her to be afraid. Faith
