On June 21st SunClan will be celebrating the
Summer Solstice. This is the day that the Sun is the highest point in the sky, and one to give thanks and praise to the Sun for it's light. The clan wakes up early on the Summer Solstice to watch the Sun's movement throughout the day and this is a day SunClan feels particularly strong. They go outside together, paying tribute to their ancestors, who are visible and can converse with the living on this one day at the Burial Grounds. The Clan also holds dances, where the clan paints their bodies and reenacts key moments in SunClan’s history, holds contests, and the Janus tell stories of the clan’s past as they share tongues at an evening feast.
So for the month of June leading up to the Summer Solstice, SunClan will be hosting the
celebration of life. The Celebration of life will be a bunch of mini-events that any and every SunClan cat are invited to join in on. Some of the mini-events will be posted today and lined in this thread, but others will be created later on in the month and linked on this thread. So make sure you

Week One mini events - 05/25/20
Contribution Relay Race:
LINKAre you an active member of SunClan? Want to prove it? In this thread SunClan members will be competing to make the most contributions in a SunClan thread for the month of June. Check out the thread for more details. The winner will get special recognition on the Summer Solstice, and earn the chance to create a new symbol for the cats of SunClan to display on their pelts.
Family Reunions/Bonding time:
Does your characters have an extensive family? Well the time has never been better to get together and have some bonding time. Go out and do something special with your kits, surprise your characters parents with a special gift, go on a family picnic. The possabilites are endless. Anyone can and is encouraged to create some family threads, and to have your characters spend some time interacting with those they should be closest to. It is a great chance for everyone to get in some character development.
Animal Bone art:
LINKWith so many kits running around, the Janus have organized a bone art session with all of the kits in SunClan. Have your kit come out and design something fun and unique. All of the art work created will be displayed around SunClan's camp to help decorate for the Summer Solstice. Come out and make your kit's parents proud.
Talent Show Preparations: LINK
Does your character have a special talent? Well later this month you will have a chance to show it off in SunClan's first official talent show. This thread is for characters to come and meet with the Janus to officially sign up for the talent show happening later this month, and to get advice if needed. Come prepared to show a little bit of your talent, because your act must be approved by the Janus before making the final lineup for the talent show.
