Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
It had been awhile since Omega set foot in the city. That is, since the early onset of the winter season. Nothing happened between him and Funk. He thought the had quite the interesting relationship himself, but other things drew him away. Namely another encounter with Littlestar and the Sun God, but he got the feeling it was time to move on. The League had nothing more to offer him since it became an echo of his former home. The League's lax attitude proved that the conquered conquered the conquerors, and they had no idea.
The tabby didn't care for such relaxed policies. The only reason he dealt with them the first time was for his mate, and she was long since gone. In her place, darkness rose and blossomed into something far grander than he could have imagined: a way to get revenge and revive his glory days. All he needed was assurance that his past would not come back to bite him, so he came to the League. He had heard Innocentia took command of the League. He didn't care for how. They preferred the same cuisine, and she scared the living daylights out of most cats, but not him. Why would a monster fear his cousin?
But he was raised right and proper: never invite yourself into someone's house without bearing gifts. He carried the body of an unconscious rogue from just outside the city gates on his back. As much as he wanted to shut the poor thing up, he certainly did not want to bring old food to his impromptu meeting with a Nemesis. He found himself in the old cathedral where Absum Lux made camp, and simply waited. Innocentia knew his scent, and she knew the smell of food.
Innocentia nosed the strong cathedral door open just a crack. A small creek came from the door as she padded inside the large building. The tiny white feline skipped up to Omega, her cartoonishly large pink bow bobbed up and down with her steps and the golden bell around her throat jingled until she steered to a stop in front of him with a bright childish grin, "Hello Omega!" She greeted, her British accented voice was high like a child's and in every way she really did look like she was immortalized in the image of a kit even though she was probably older than him.
She let out an excited gasp, "Is all that for us?"
The irony of the she-cat being a cannibal was never lost on him. How did her prey never hear the bell chiming her neck? How did she move with that pink bow? And the smallest cat he knew was perhaps the most ferocious that he had ever met. He had never hunted with her, maybe that was part of it. He took a direct approach to hunting, she must do something different. Maybe he'd suggest hunting together in the future.
He rolled the tom off his back at Innocentia's feet. "Of course. I found him not far outside the city." He rolled the tom over to expose his barely rising chest. "I've even left the kill for you, if you want it." His voice rumbled in the old cathedral.
Innocentia sniffed at the cats neck before moving dangerously close to the victims jaw before leaning back, "Smells good!" She purred, perking back up. She had been inspecting if her soon to be prey wasn't sick. Unlike most cats in Primal Instinct she wasn't the sadistic type who found it thrilling to kill. She maintained a cat only diet, it meant killing everyday. She hunted to feed herself and much like a warrior who hunted she sent a silent prayer to any god or heaven that listened her gratitude, tonight was no different.
Her claws sliced quick and fast across the major arteries. The light flashing out of the cats eyes faster than lightning. Hearing was always the last thing to go out, it was why she sent a prayer. That way the last thing the cat would hear wouldn't be her chewing off their flesh, but instead compliments. "Thank-you for your sacrifice for my survival. I am thankful to have you and hope that you enter the heavens with grace and bliss."
Once the cat was passed away Innocentia began to tear the fur off in rather impressive large strips for having a tiny muzzle. "My mother always taught me good manners at supper time," She said with a wink to Omega, "You know, I consider you to be a good friend so whatever you would like to talk about I'm happy to discuss.
She was far more humane than him. His claws struck where they struck. If death was slow, it was slow. Speed was a luxury for his kills, and Innocentia made a point of making mercy the point of hers. It was business, nothing personal. It was survival. As for Omega, he enjoyed killing. If it weren't for their meeting, he would have killed the tom without a second thought. Saying a prayer for him would have never crossed his mind. It seemed so pointless. If anything saying a prayer over the dying body was gloating.
He had never shared a meal like this with someone before, and her technique intrigued him. The tom usually just dug in where it looked juicy, so he never cared to remove the fur like she did. It certainly would make for an easier meal. He nodded his thanks and sat down over the body. "Thank you, as do I you. You know, the torturer-torturee relationship is special one." He said as he recalled their time together after the whole NovaClan thing. "As for the matter at hand, first I want to know how you are doing."
"Of course," She said lovingly, gingerly moving her paw to touch the scar she had given him, "My pretty little art piece forever on your face."
She let her paw fall back to her side as she climbed over Omega to get on his side and began to strip the fur off from his prey. Although she was small her fangs were sharper and bigger than any other cats making it easier for her to strip away the fur than it would be for him. "I'm mates with Senescence now, but I'm a little intimidated if I'm being honest," She said, the brightness in her eyes weakening a little, "She has so many kits and I'm just worried that they're not going to like me. I never had a happy family growing up so I really want one with Senescence," She explained.
She took another bite, swallowing it, "What about you, how have you been Omega? You seem as strong as always."
He knew all about that little piece of art. He deserved it for siding against the League, and attacking some members in the NovaClan battle. That and egging his torturers on at his punishment. It still was a largely disappointing time. He had experienced far worse torture.
He let her strip the fur off the kill. This was her meal: he'd wait to take his share until she finished with stripping the fur away. Besides, he never mastered that technique. He was more savage, and just ate through the fur whenever he could. He flicked his ears at the mention of Senescence. "Hmpf. I never knew much about her. She had a former apprentice, I think her name was Desiree, that always challenged her and always lost." Omega was an Ambassador during his time in the League, so he never spent much time in the camp itself. Still, drama like that always amused him. "I never saw one of their fight, rather, Desiree's beatdowns, but I'm sure you'll be fine. If you've gotten her to actually tolerate you, that's impressive."
He ripped off a chunk of meat from the cats' thigh and rested it at his paws. "As for me, I had an encounter with Littlestar that didn't go well." He hissed as he spoke her name. "The coward poisons her claws. What kind of fighter does that?!" He hadn't gotten over that yet. He knew he could have taken her down, but her cowardice iced his chances. He couldn't beat poison. No one could. "Since then I've been traveling around, meeting some new faces."
She chewed at her prey listening to him. She hiccuped before swallowing and hiccuped again. Worry was bubbling up inside of her, he was right about Senescence, she didn't tolerate anyone. But she also didn't beat around the bush so it wasn't like she would pretend to like her. But what if she did like her, but now she was annoying and Senescence was just putting up with her, but any day now she would drop her! Maybe she wasn't cute enough for Senescence or maybe when she saw how injured she was she didn't love her the way she used to. "Heheh, yeah," She giggled in agreement about Senescence, but doubt still wormed inside of her. Her mate had been leaving her side more often than not...
Her attention immediately shifted to Omega's new conversation, her yellow eyes burning in a cold golden hue, "Littlestar bested me too, I was enjoying a snack, but turns out that was her daughter. She had a friend with her and they both held me down and beat me," She paused, her eyes blurring into a look of confusion as she hesitated, "But she did something weird to me too. I was beaten really bad, barely conscious, but I could have sworn that her paws heated up so bad that it burned into my chest. I was burned somehow though because I did have burn wounds. But I swear, it came from her very paws as insane as that sounds. Senescence saved me that day though, so she would know."
It didn't surprise him. The tabby ground his teeth together at the mention of burning claws. He knew the burning feeling far better the Innocentia could know. His scars were not physical, but spiritual. He had long forgotten the empty void inside of him, but the mention of the Sun's searing heat made him realize the sensation was still there. Shrouded in layers of turmoil, but there, where something else should be. His eyes returned to Innocentia. "Well, I can tell you it certainly was no illusion." He paused and listened for the sound of any eavesdroppers. "Don't repeat this anyone, but a while ago I was a SunClan initiate. Obviously, I left and came to the League."
He shivered as he remembered the events that followed. It was a terrible day. Freeing, but terrible. "Foxbane, then Foxstar, tracked me down when I was an Ambassador. She caught me off guard, and I tried to fake losing a fight to die. You know, just lose one of my lives. Foxbane didn't know that I had them, so she'd go away and I could live the rest of my life in peace. She didn't do that. She stole my soul, and the Sun God still has it."
Innocentia tensed, she had to suck in a gasp of air just listening to him. Senescence played around in clans, but lately her newest play toy had been SunClan. She was an initiate there and from the sounds of it she was going to be initiated soon. They would take Senescence's soul just like they took Omega's. "We have to go to SunClan," She said standing up quickly, her thoughts spinning, "No we have to," She thought better about it, "We have to destroy SunClan. They stole your soul and they mutilated me. I may have recovered thanks to Funk's advanced science, but it wasn't that many moons ago that I had no fur and couldn't even feed myself after Littlestar. No one gets to mess with us and then get away with it, not even a God."
This was exactly what he wanted to hear, and he never even had to suggest it. Omega smiled as she spoke and her thoughts spiraled into darker and darker places. Having Innocentia on his side was a good start, but he needed more time to pull everything together. He didn't know how much pull she had in the League, and if Funk would care. DayClan would probably get involved, and they had an alliance. One thing at time. "I couldn't agree with you more. I have some cats who I've rallied together for that purpose. Some are rogues, others are inside the Clans. Having the numbers of the League is a huge help." Frankly, he had almost everything he needed. All that was left was a home base near SunClan. Reinforcing from the League's territory would take way too long.
"So how about we ask NightClan for help. If we both go to NightClan and show Flamingstar we're serious she'll probably join in! SunClan and DayClan are allies so NightClan will likely feel insecure knowing that they can be taken over on a whim if SunClan wanted to. If Flamingstar was offered an army willing to attack SunClan with them I'm sure she would agree to join us," Innocentia spoke up excitedly, "What do you think? I think it could work!"
