Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Viperstream nodded as Thistlestar gave him his his next task - gather the chosen Trusted members, Harewhisper, Reaperkiss, Bravebear, and inform them of their duties and expectations for the future to come. "Understood," he confirmed as he turned to leave the leader's den. This would be the perfect opportunity to learn more about his successors. Perhaps they would be better than he was at his past position, not that he was the most proficient at it anyway. Since he was away during the selection process, he didn't have a say in the matter. But, trusting in his leader, he did right by SpringClan. He only knew them by name and not by what they did, but Viperstream knew he wouldn't be disappointed. Or would he...
Figuring they would all be in the same place at the same time, he made his way toward the Warriors' den.
Harewhisker was in the den, fixing up her nest. It was much flatter than she preferred after so many nights in it. The cream colored cat poked and prodded at the bedding with her massive paws, only stopping when she was completely satisfied with the job. There, perfect. Perhaps she should go check around the camp and see if anything else needed to be done. Harewhisker exited the den and saw Viperstream making his way over.
"Ah, Harewhisker, just the cat I was looking for," he meowed to the she-cat as he came to a halt in front of her. "Do you mind coming with me for a moment. I have to talk to you and the others about your promotion. Speaking of that, have you seen Reaperkiss and Bravebear anywhere?"
The she-cat shook her head. "They weren't in the warrior's den. Perhaps they were out on a hunting patrol?" Harewhisker tried to remember who had gone on one earlier, but she wasn't sure she'd even known. As she squinted thoughtfully, Harewhisker noticed a cat further away in the camp. "Ah, there's one of them."

Bravebear padded purposely back into camp, Berrykit swinging from his jaws as he carried him. The shy, overly curious kit had found himself far from camp and Bravebear had set out to track him before word of his disappearance could worry anyone. He spotted Harewhisker and Viperstream together and set the kit down, watching the brown tom bound away as if he hadn't done a thing wrong. With a half-frustrated, half-amuse sign the large cat turned and approached the cats with a friendly wave of his tail.
"Another runaway I see," Viperstream commented with a chuckle as he watched the kit find something else to entertain themselves with. Turning his attention to Bravebear, he gave him a friendly wave and smile. "We were just talking about you. Welcome back. You're not busy at the moment, are you?" he asked the tom, "I need to talk to you two and one other of your comrades about some things." He glanced around the camp clearing to see if they would appear from one of the various dens with no luck. This is proving rather difficult... He shook his head. "Never mind that. I guess I'll have to fill them in whenever I see them," he thought aloud before looking back at the pair. "Anyhow, I am not sure if you were already told by Thistlestar, but you two were chosen to become one of the Trusted. Congratulations."

"Oh, I have time now," Bravebear responded eagerly, "and Thistlestar told me me I'd been selected, but not much else. It's an honor!" Bravebear was trying very hard to appear cool and not as incredibly excited as he was, though his waving tail may have given it away a bit.
"Oh good. Do you know your duties already?" he asked with a small smile on his face. Well, that makes my job easier then. He turned his attention to Harewhisker. "Did Thistlestar already tell you too?"
Harewhisker nodded briskly at Viperstream. "Yes, I've been made aware." She had watched the incident with the kit without much amusement and sort of considered offering Berrykit some advice on sneaking out, but the kit had run off before she'd made up her mind. The she-cat focused her attention fully on her deputy and fellow Trusted. She was ready to get down to business immediately. "Shall we discuss without Reaperkiss?"
Viperstream nodded once. "Yes. I can speak with them at a later time. While I have you two here, Thistlestar has tasked me with overseeing the Trusted. From here on out, you will be receiving various tasks and missions me. All reports will go through me and I will pass them up to our leader. He will be rather busy for some time and determined that it would be more practical that I take on that role," he explained to the pair. He had a good understanding of what their purpose so it made sense to him since he was once a Trusted himself. "I understand you have lives of families to take care of so I will not be asking you to do much. Just the occasional patrol and missions over the border when necessary. Have any questions?"

Bravebear nodded, following along eagerly. "Got it. I'm good, no questions here." He looked at Harewhisker and nudged her in a friendly manor, "what about you? Got anything to throw at 'em?" Bravebear knew this was his purpose, that he'd always been destined to be a Trusted. And now it was happening. "Oh wait! One question: when is our first mission?"
"An eager one, I see. Well, I don't have anything just yet for you all as of right now, but I will let you know if anything comes up." he meowed. Viperstream was pleased to see that at least one of them was motivated to get started as soon as possible. Bravebear was an interesting cat, to say the least. Perhaps, he would be the would be the one to go to whenever something needs to be done expeditiously... His gaze fell on Harewhisker. She was a stark contrast to Bravebear. From what he could see, she appeared to be more grounded and professional when it came down to it. In a way, she reminded him of himself when he was a young Trusted. Although he had no doubt she was capable in combat situations, he felt that she would be better suited for diplomatic missions. At least, for now. Reaperkiss on the other hand, he knew nothing about, which made him more eager to meet them to see what they were about.
"I don't have any family or life outside of this, honestly," said Harewhisker bluntly, no hint of sadness in her voice. It was just what it was - no big deal. And honestly she wanted to be involved. The she-cat found herself bored when there was no action or task for her to do. She didn't have any questions, but Bravebear's about the next mission was a great one. She listened with interest for Viperstream's reply but was disappointed when he had nothing to tell them. Harewhisker eyed Bravebear for his reaction. The tom looked a lot like her and was a similar size, just a different color. She wondered what working with him as a fellow Trusted would be like. So far she respected his enthusiasm.
"Wellll," Harewhisker drawled, boredom creeping into the word. "Do tell us the moment you come up with something. I'm at your beck and call." Then the she-cat turned away, deciding she'd try to seek out Reaperkiss. She didn't say a farewell, just spun to leave and headed toward the entrance of the camp. Perhaps the other Trusted was out and about in the territory.

Bravebear bit back a sigh when told there wasn't anything to be done. So now what? He'd just been handed a coveted position and he was just supposed to do nothing with it? He glanced at Harewhisker and felt himself mirror her own boredom, replying to Viperstream with respect and only the barest hint of impatience, "great, good talk. And we'll both be eager to receive a mission. For now shall I just go back to hunting?" Harewhisker had already turned away, so perhaps their first meeting would be coming to this abrupt and anticlimactic end.
Viperstream frowned as he watched the pair take their leave, disappointed that their first meeting didn't end as well as expected. He didn't have anything missions for them just yet and he didn't want to waste their time something pointless. However, it couldn't be helped; it was, after all, just an introduction. Perhaps in the coming days, something will present itself that will require their services. Until then, Viperstream had to stay busy.
