Whispers seemed to call out to her, it sounded as though she were surrounded by a clan of cats, judging her every move. But Shiva wasn't surrounded, it was just the distorted winds billowing through the trees at twisted angles. The wind had been ravaging through the entire forest immensely as of late, most likely because of the changing of the seasons, but it also felt ominous. As the wind whistled by, a flash of darkness crossed Shiva's line of sight. It was like a piece of the colorless sky had fallen from the heavens and delivered itself before her paws. The Acecoop glanced down; it was merely a leaf, but it was ebony in color. How strange, to see a sable leaf. Was it an omen?
Whisp himself had been pulled out to the forest by a rather similar feeling. With the change of the seasons and the ongoing warmongering actions of his home the white tom has fallen into a rather depressing mood. Now as he stumbled across Shiva, he had literally stumbled across a hidden root, the black leaf at her paws stopped him. “Where did you find that?” He inquired softly, not really sure why a leaf should be black. Brown was fine, but never black as black was something that was rotting; a leaf that falls fresh from a tree shouldn’t be rotting. His brow furrowed slightly in thought.

"The world is dying, but Marli is growing weaker."
It was her only comment. Her roman silver eyes never deviated from the leaf, and she gazed upon it with great wonder. The God of Death's strength was in its waning stages as time progressed further from the Autumn Equinox, but there was a clear message laying before her: death was to come. Shiva tilted her head slightly, still not glancing at Whisp.
It didn't take a genius to infer that this was probably the case; Winter was coming, and the world was once again freezing over.
