Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Thistlepaw sighed in defeat, rolling onto her side near the herb garden. It wasn't that she regretted her decision to become a garden keeper, it really wasn't. But being stuck learning about all these plants wasn't easy. Her attention span didn't hold on long enough for her to remember all her lessons. She had thought that learning about plants would give her more time with her sister Sunpaw, but that had been silly of her to think. Their tasks were quite different. The fluffy ginger tabby eyed the plant nearest her and swiped at it with her paw, bored with her task. None of the other garden keepers had seemed to notice her slacking off, so Thistlepaw used her chance to quickly roll back up to her feet and sneak off a little ways away. She wanted to use this spare bit of time to practice some fighting techniques instead of studying herbs, so she glanced around in the hopes that her friend Lightpaw was nearby to practice with. Thistlepaw was disappointed when her scan came up empty.
Batflower found himself falling into his old habits. Some habits had been changed over the past seasons. His habits of tucking a flower behind his ear had been ditched during his apprenticeship to become a Garden Keeper. It had instead been replaced with Batflower waking up early to head to the Garden and scent his fur with various flowers. Today the notes of soft lilac, tangy notes of nectarine clung to his grey smoked fur. He stopped at a useless rose plant that had been planted when he was an apprentice. He stopped to sniff the flowers and smiled to himself. He had secretly planted the bush in the garden when he was an apprentice and without his mentor knowing until after it had been done. It had been planted in honor of his friends Venuskit and Rosekit who had inspired his father Doestar to created the Garden Keeper position in the first place. Being a Garden Keeper had always been Batflower's dream, but even now being a Red Guard he felt himself being drawn back to the Gardens. They were his place of peace. During his daily walk of the gardens he had stumbled across Thistlepaw. "You appear lost, or at least looking for something do you need help?" He asked padding towards the garden keeper apprentice his signature warm smile plastered on his face.
She felt bad for being caught shirking her duties. Thistlepaw looked around her for something that she could use to appear busy and her eyes caught on a random bit of growth sprouting from the ground. "I was just erm..wondering if plants that grew outside the garden were also.. herbs?" Her sentence trailed off into a question and she felt her face burn. Surely this Red Guard knew she was lying.
