Talonstrike sat with his back against the sun, letting it warm his fur against the cool spring breeze. He was glad the weather was starting to warm. It had been too long since he had a good walk through the territory without feeling miserable or damp afterwards. His amber eyes trailed around the camp. It seemed pretty empty...
Hollypool pushed out of the nursery. Thankfully her kits were asleep and she could have a few moments to herself. While she loved the two dearly, it was exhausting being a mother. The queen glanced around the camp and was relieved to see that it was pretty empty. She noticed Talonstrike off on his own and was hesitant to bother him.

After a moment of stillness, he heard another set of pawsteps and turned to see Hollypool. Talonstrike was the shy sort, but he also liked to have some company now and then. Not to mention, everything was too quiet. Mustering up his courage, he padded towards the queen with a small smile. "Ah, hello."
The queen smiled at Talonstrike's greeting and nodded her own head back to him. She called over to the warrior before he came too close, "Hello, Talonstrike! Would you mind bringing me some prey from the pile? I haven't had time to eat properly in forever." Hollypool's voice came out warm, not whiny. The she-cat was going to appreciate her status as a new mother and milk it for the small bits of kindness it allowed, and if that meant having a warrior drag her over a little shrew, who was she to ignore that perk?
