Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
It was the middle of the day, and perhaps there were smarter times to sneak away from the camp, but in Mintkit's mind, things were so busy no cat would notice them. Mintkit obsessively liked to play Leader, and she had grown bored being stuck in the nursery. She was only 1 moon and couldn't go far, but once she had gotten the hang of walking, the kit was active and ready to go.
The fluffy dark silver tabby bounced around the nursery, trying to get other kits to join her game. She wanted to play Patrol, and just playing with her sister was going to be boring. "Come on guys," she complained, whining a bit. "Don't be cowards. We need to be brave and practice patroling now! We can pretend there's a fox this time."
Mosskit listened to her sister's spiel and clawed at the ground with her little paws. Although just as fluffy as Mintkit and sharing the same green eyes - a classic trait of FallClan cats - the tabby was brown. She nudged her sister. "Don't be so bossy or nobody will wanna play with us!"

Firekit padded out of the Nursery as soon as Mosskit spoke. "Yeah, no one wants to play with bossy kits." He teased and skipped towards the other two kits. "What are you two playing?" His eyes sparkled with spirit, hoping they were planning something exciting.
"We're going to go on a patrol and there's gonna -" Mosskit opened her mouth to speak and only managed to get out half a sentence before she was interrupted.
"We're going to pretend to fight a fox. But we can't do it in the camp, because that's just not realistic," Mintkit butted in. She looked Firekit up and down, admiring the sparkle in his eyes. "Will you join our patrol? FallClan needs strong warriors to fight!"
Sweetkit had been grooming her pelt in her nest, but looked up when Mintkit spoke to Firekit. The tortoiseshell kit was small, not really what anyone would consider a 'strong warrior', but her interest was peaked anyway. She quite enjoyed watching others have fun. "Can I join?" she asked, a soft smile taking over her face as she tilted her head to the side.
Mintkit whipped her tiny fluffy head around at the sound of a tiny voice. It was Sweetkit asking to play. Mintkit didn't wait for Firekit's reply, instead immediately bounding over to Sweetkit and meowing, "Yes of course you can join! But I have to be the leader." She nosed the other she-kit, accidentally mussing up the fur she had just been grooming. Her sister Mosskit called from further away, "Don't play so rough, Mintkit! You're twice her size!" The sisters were not yet two moons old, but they were still larger than the small tortoiseshell in question.
Sweetkit, for her part, didn't seem to mind. Her smile never wavered, and she even let out a small laugh. "Of course, I won't fight you on that," she replied, not actually caring about her newly messed up fur. There would always be time later to fix it again. Gently, she nudged Mintkit back with her head, though it seemed more like a nuzzle.

Firekit puffed out his chest, clearly soaking up the "strong warriors" comment. "Of course I will join! No fox can beat us!" He purred with a lash of his tail.
Mintkit was thrilled that the others wanted to join her patrol. She flicked her tail and bounded away from the nursery, calling out behind her, "Follow me! Mosskit and Sweetkit can stay in the middle, but Firekit should stay in the back to protect us." The tiny gray she-kit didn't look behind her, expecting the others to come with. Now...how to avoid the warriors in the clan?
Mosskit bumped against Firekit good-naturedly. "Sorry she's such an overbearing furball, Firekit. Thanks for playing with us!" The brown tabby threw a friendly wink at Sweetkit, beckoning her over with a jerk of her head.
Rather awkwardly, Sweetkit stood up, not having the time to stretch before shuffling her way over to Mosskit. She could feel the sting of protest of old scars beneath her fur, but paid them no mind as she tilted her head towards where Mintkit had bounded. "Is she going to notice we're not right behind her?" she asked, her green eyes blinking in concern.
Mosskit's own green eyes looked back into Sweetkit's. "I'm sure she will," the kit laughed. "We'd better speed up before that hare-brain gives us a mouthful!" She didn't act on her words though, padding slowly next to Sweetkit instead.
Mintkit led her little patrol away from the nursery and into the camp. It was busy and cats were everywhere. All they had to do was act natural and maybe they'd go unnoticed. "Firekit," she meowed, looking at the back of the group. "It's clear up here, what about from your angle?" simplylight

Firekit glanced around, trying to pretend they were just playing a mock patrol game and not actually trying to sneak out of the camp. "All clear here, as well!" He responded after a moment. Nervousness made his paws prickle but his pride was quick to put an end to that. There was no way he was going to look nervous in front of them!
Sweetkit padded along, watching how much Firekit and Mintkit seemed to already enjoy this little adventure, until Mosskit's voice interrupted her. It only took the small kit a moment of thought before she replied, "Being able to help others." Her voice was soft, but the sincerity in her eyes shone bright. "If I can even save just one cat, I think I can live my life happily." If she could be to someone what Tatteredraven had been to her and her siblings, that would be enough for her.
At the other she-kit's reply, Mosskit brushed up against her while they walked. "Your name is so fitting," she said to Sweetkit, laughing a little. Up ahead of her, Mintkit was still considering their exit point of the camp. She was grateful for Firekit's aid in checking behind them, and making her decision, she hissed at the three behind her, "Guys, follow me this way." With that, Mintkit darted toward the edge of the camp away from the entrance. They were small enough to slip away and through any obstacle, she was sure of it.
A flush took over Sweetkit's face at Mosskit's words, but she didn't have time to reply before Mintkit spoke and took off. She blinked a couple of times, before realizing that meant that she should probably speed up, and nearly tripped over her own paws to follow. Luckily, she didn't, although her flustered state only increased with the little blunder.
