Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
"And that's what I think about your dumb opinion," she meowed over her shoulder as she stormed off. This was not uncommon for the young cat; she was constantly getting in trouble. Perhaps this was because she had yet to grow out of that awkward childhood phase where one thinks everything they did was right. Maybe it was a strange quirk only for her. No one really understood what the problem with Blythe, or why she was the way she was. No one probably would. "Cats these days," she grumbled to herself, "I wish I could name one cat in this group that didn't have a stick up their ass." As she spoke, her tone got louder so that the cat she left behind could hear the sick burn. It was too late, though, as she was already out of ear shot, and into the earshot of someone else.

The voice that of a feline he had heard of but had yet to meet. To be honest though perhaps this wasn't the best time to talk to or...or actually maybe the best time. The grey and white tom was just about to drop off some prey to the clan when he caught this rather interesting scene ahead of him. Pausing Luminescence lightly dropped his prey onto the floor and gave a slight cough, just loud enough to be heard. "Ahh it sounds like your having a rather bad day I suppose. Care for a mouse by chance? I've caught a few things for the clan and perhaps a meal could make you feel better." Sometimes food could help with situations like these...maybe a kind greeting such as this would calm the rather somewhat irritated she cat? The tom wasn't sure but hopeful it would work, after all everyone needs a friend.
Well, this was unique. Most cats by this point in their career knew to stay away from the student. Not because older cats had anything to fear or anything; Blythe's direct influence was only over those her age or younger. However, she was just... genuinely unpleasant to be around, and a pain in the tail for all of the others who had to figure out what to do with her.
Her gaze met his as he coughed, and she uttered a "What're you lookin' at," although it was mostly under her breath. She sighed slightly, before collecting herself. No, Blythe, this is probably not the time, especially if he's offering dinner.
The notorious mean girl tried to offer the tom a smile, but it didn't come off well. "I'm perfectly capable of hunting my own prey. I'm not six. However, if you insist, I suppose we could share one." Blythe, offering to eat with someone? That was practically unheard of.

Luminescence could tell she was trying to be kind, rather it be genuine or due to a free meal the tom didn't care at all. Cocking his head to the site the rather small grey and white cat lightly pushed the prey to her," I'd be honored to share a meal with you. Although I do know your more than capable of catching things on your own sometimes its nice to be given something just because."
Which was true, he wasn't giving Blythe prey for any alterior or anything of the sort...just be it a genuine kindness. Perhaps it would make her feel better and feel less agitated. Plus Luminescence wanted to get to know more cats than just Hywel, so why not branch out? Even if it was rumored that she was a rather finicky feline the tom didn't care. He judged things off of his own opinion, and right now she didn't seem all that bad honestly.
It was an interesting choice, for him to draw any interest in the small she-cat. Of course, perhaps it was in part because he was older and didn't know many other cats. Students often knew to stay away or face her relentless arrogance, but maybe the older cats didn't feel the same way towards her. Or, maybe they did. Loneliness made cats do strange things, and perhaps that was one of the reasons that she agreed. She was the queen of her little corner, her hyena gang never more than a few steps behind her, but she was never quite sure why. Did they love her? Fear her? She didn't know, but either way, it felt empty, like they fell in line because they could. Blythe blinked her eyes at the thought; no, she wasn't lonely. She was just doing a kindness for a lonely sap out of the generosity of her heart.
"Of course you would be," she meowed with a wink, before nodding her head. "Not just anyone gets a meal with the Blythe herself." it was mostly said to make up for the lapse in which she empathized with the tom, even if she hadn't done so verbally. She then leaned down and took a bite, the tastes vibrant against her tongue. "Mmm," the student found herself muttering, before passing the piece to him. "So, have I seen you around? You're unfamiliar, so you're either thouroughly unremarkable or new, and both seem plausible."

"Well in either case your not wrong I suppose. I am new here, been here for maybe almost a moon? Could be less for sure but I've rather kept to myself at first before learning the clan a bit more. It also helps that with my smaller stature some felines mistake me for a student. Doesn't really bother me at all, but its a shame everyone seems to avoid newcomers at first. Although...I could understand why."
Blythe really seemed to be enjoying her meal which made Luminescence happy. It was nice to make some feline's day a little bit brighter. Curious though he asked," How about yourself? Were you born here or are you from elsewhere...if of course you don't mind me asking." He was enjoying having a conversation with a member of the clan and felt almost as if he was slowly becoming a Moonclan cat himself. But would be ever truly fit into this new environment?
sorry ! i had a lil bit of an away from the site period for personal matters, but i should be back now c:
She smiled at him slightly at his first words, the corners of a genuine smile. After all, if there was one thing that made Blythe totally satisfied with the world, it was other cats telling her she was right. She lived on that validation, even if she didn't necessarily need it because she was well aware she was god's gift to man. "Between you and I, I'd probably keep to myself if I could, so I don't blame you at all," she meowed after a second of internal gloating, offering the tom a wink. "The combined IQ of most of these cats is about 8, so you're really not missing much." She tilted her head, for a moment almost feeling sorry for the fact her clanmates had ignored him. Of course, she was no welcoming party herself, but she wasn't completely devoid of empathy, just mostly.
She took another bite, thinking about how best to answer his question. "Technically, born here," she meowed after a moment, "but it's complicated. My ma was an outsider who joined to give birth, and as soon as I was weaned, she was off again to the races." She wasn't quite sure why she had told the tom about her abandonment, but it was the only way to really explain. "So, born here, but no blood. Simultaneously insider and outsider." She paused, flicking her whiskers. "And you? What on earth could have brought you to this podunk little town?"

(Your totally fine and I completely understand needing a break at times ♡)
It did seem Luminescence the she cat did seem to have gone through some tough times and it did reflect somewhat in her personality so he didn't hold it against her. She may have her flaws but she did actually seem kind therefore Luminescence liked her already. With her question the tom thought for a moment before he responded.
"I came from far away from here. I was born to a mother I can't really remember but was sent home with some humans. They weren't all that bad at first but they suddenly got angry with me when I started to become playful, I didn't understand why they were that way but eventually they put me in this box of sorts and we went somewhere away from their den. It felt like days being in that thing but eventually we stopped. They sat the box down with me in it and left. I was scared at first, no older than a few moons old. I would have barely been old enough to pass as a student really. What kept me alive was pure luck and nothing else. I eventually found an old tom cat living in a barn on his own and he taught me how to truly survive out here in the wilderness. I mean i have had good times and bad but over all I can't complain. Finding this place has been nice...I feel as safe as I was when I stayed at the barn. Although the cats here are suspicious they weren't attacking me at least. I mean I'm lucky to have made it this far in life."
Truly the tom counted his blessings on finding this place, there could have been many times in his life he could have easily died but something kept him alive thus far. Whatever the reason was he wasn't sure but still he'd keep on living and be as happy as he could be in this chaotic world.
She mostly ignored the times, if she were being honest. It wasn't often that memories flickered through her gaze, mostly because she had never really seen her mother as a mother. Of course, that had left her without any sort of parental figure; the queens had mostly decided that once she was weaned, she should be on her own, as to not infect the other babes with her character. Perhaps that was part of the problem. With no real role model, she had been left to her own devices, and perhaps that wasn't a good thing.
She tilted her head as he spoke. He seemed to also have it rough, rougher than she would have anticipated. Part of her wanted to reach out, to brush her tail on his shoulder, but most of her was unsure that that would be well received. So instead, she didn't, only nodding quietly as he spoke. There wasn't much she knew how to say; Blythe had never been good at comforting others, nor did she really know how to approach this conversation. Instead, she just looked off for a moment, before eventually letting out the softest of sighs.
"If you've made it this far despite it all, there was a reason. Cats around here would assume Selene was waiting to bring you home." It was almost profound, but also not profound at all. "I'm not sure I believe in all of that hullabaloo, but whatever the reason, I'm glad you're here."

"That's kind of you to say...thank you. I'm also glad I'm not the only one who isn't sure Selene exists. I mean I didn't even have a thought prior to this about gods or what would happen to a cat after they die. I just kinda thought that nothing happend afterwards. Maybe something exists but I have no clue what that is." This was a very nice conversation, obviously cats seemed to just write off the she cat without actually trying to talk to her...like she was just a nuisance. Things started to make sense to the tom, treat a feline like they are a troublemaker and a troublemaker is what you'll get.
