Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Glowstar had slept in, by the time she woke up sunlight had already filtered through the long lush vines of the wisteria tree where she slept under in the center of camp. DayClan had gone through a lot thanks to SunClan's Sun God who had sent magical entities to her clan three times now trying to force her clan to convert to sun religion. In SunClan's culture she knew to them they were being nice to DayClan, but in any other culture this was called persecution. Her job to keep SunClan and DayClan at peace was weighing on her more than ever.
Glowstar sashayed through the curtain of purple wisteria and into camp. Patrols had already been assigned and anyone who was in camp had a break day. Break days were common in DayClan, they were one of the more playful clans that took time to play games and relax. Given DayClan's environment that wasn't too surprising, the scent of apple orchards and tulip fields from the south carried a spring harvest scent into camp. Flecks of golden wheat tendrils sailed past her in gentle waves that gave the world around her a magical flare, as if DayClan rested on the cusp of heaven and wonder. Her emerald gaze spotted Sootpaw and Smokepaw still in camp and wandered over to them, "I'm heading out on a walk if you two are interested?"
Smokepaw had been forlornly following around his sister, hoping she might pay him some attention, but as usual she was uninterested. Sighing, the tom settled down in a spot of sunlight to take a nap. There was no one for him to talk to. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Sootpaw throw a glance over to him before laying down herself in a cooler spot a short distance away. He finally closed his eyes, sighing in disappointment. Neither of them had been able to make friends in the clan for different reasons, but the fact that his own blood didn't want anything to do with him was hurtful.
His breathing slowed and he was nearly asleep when a voice cut through the air. Immediately, his eyes flew open and he sat up, raking a paw over his ears to smooth the fur down.
Smokepaw watched as his sister answered the leader affirmatively and yawned. He was shy and never the first to speak up, so he quietly made his way over to where the two she-cats stood. To his dismay, he watched as Smokepaw shifted further away from him. Still, he said nothing except for, "Yes, thank you for inviting us, Glowstar."
Sootpaw was irritated that her brother followed her around so much. She had tried very hard to get him to leave her alone without being mean, but she had snapped at him not too long ago and since then, he had stopped talking to her and resorted to just...following. It was so tiring that the only cat who showed interest in her was also the only cat she didn't want anything to do with.
After ignoring him, she breathed out a sigh of relief as he stopped and plopped down in a sunny spot of the camp. Her pitch black fur picked up the heat quickly and she felt overly warm. She looked over at her brother as if to ensure he wouldn't move closer to her before sitting herself down in a slightly shadier bit of the camp nearby.
Sootpaw watched her brother as he fell asleep, curled around himself as if he felt cold. She sighed and shook her head. He reminded her so much of her mother and it hurt her feelings every time she saw him. She hadn't meant to push him away at the beginning, but then she had just been so cold and unnecessarily cruel to him that it felt wrong of her to take advantage of his desperation for friendship now.
She was shaken out of her thoughts when she noticed Glowstar making her way nearer to them. Sootpaw admired the leader as she approached and jumped to her paws as the she-cat called out her invitation. She glanced over at her brother, wishing that she could go with the leader alone.
"I would love to go on a walk," she lowered her head respectively before walking toward Glowstar. "We've had some very nice days lately."
Behind her, she sensed Smokepaw getting closer. Sootpaw scooted a bit further away instinctively.
cookie (I am SO sorry this got lost, I was checking threads when I noticed this!)
"Wonderful," Glowstar said. Her voice was gentle as a summer breeze with the sweetness of apple blossoms. Her auburn tail motioned for the two to come to her side and walk with her. "I hope you're settling in comfortably, if you ever need anything at all you just ask. I've moved four times in my life span across many clans and only one of which was unpleasant so I aim to maintain a safe and friendly environment here."
She was utterly breath taking, as captivating as her voice was it was easy for eyes to wander on every feature she had. Her fur was an ocean of wild auburn cinnamon waves kissing up against the shores of her auburn bombshell coat and emerald eyes looked as angelic as the stars. There were scars across her neck from lives she had to have lost or come close to losing. Even with her beauty it couldn't hide the muscle toned layers of strength along her hourglass figure. The way her fur shimmered slick as water, she was a mixed breed of clan cats that didn't just make her looking intimidating, but gorgeously forbidding. Like a Goddess who weaved hope into wings and wielded failure like a scythe.
Sootpaw felt hypnotized by the leader's demeanor and beautiful voice. She followed her as soon as Glowstar's tail swished, riveted by the color. The apprentice was really only half paying attention to her actual words and mumbled a, "Yep, it's great." Sootpaw took in the impossible mix of beauty and power in the other she-cat and although she didn't feel a close attachment to DayClan, she decided on the spot that she had a lot of respect for Glowstar.
Smokepaw followed behind the two she-cats, remaining quiet. He was too afraid to interact with either his sharp-clawed sister or his intimidating leader. _ ooc; lol no worries, you have a whole whole bunch!
