"Littlestar, there must be some kind of mistake. Cypressblaze would never leave MoonClan territory." Oakshade said with a pleading tone in his voice. His ears were pinned to the back of his head but he was holding his ground. This tom tended to slouch but lately Tinymutiny had done a pretty good job of beating the habit out of him. At his full height he was much more intimidating than his actual personality but he doubted it would do anything to sway his High Priestess, "Please let me escort her back to the border. She's done nothing wrong."
"But she did." Bloodyrondo had been on the patrol; he had a fresh and bleeding scratch across his shoulder and a scowl on his face, "She was on SunClan land with a mouse in her jaws. When we confronted her she fought back tooth and nail. You're lucky I didn't just kill her on the spot. Besides, we can't just let her go now that she has been through the tunnels. She needs to Initiate or die, same choice you had, pipsqueak."
"That's a lie and you know it." Cypressblaze hissed. She was crouched on the ground with fur standing on end, her wounded front paw unable to support her weight, "I would never hunt on SunClan territory. I'm not as stupid as my siblings. You were the one trespassing and when I found you, you drug me back to your side the border before I could report you to my Cardinal." She refused to so much as look at Oakshade and pretended he wasn't even there.
Oakshade glared daggers at Bloodyrondo, who he fully blamed for all of this, but didn't say anything out of respect. It was Littlestar's turn to reply. He just hoped that this was resolved peacefully before Mapledawn and the kits realized what was happening...

Littlestar looked between the three cats, simply listening as they went back and forth arguing about how to handle the situation. All three of them having a different view, all three of them hoping for different outcomes. However, SunClan's rules were clear in a matter such as this. Even if the she-cat had been dragged back to SunClan's camp, it wouldn't change what had to be done. SunClan's land was sacred, and this she-cat had seen far to much of it to be allowed to waltz out with no consequences. She rose to her paws, flicking her tail for silence "The rules are clear. Cypressblaze, your wounds will be treated, and once you have recovered you shall begin preparing for initiation" she walked forward her eyes moving from the she-cats ears to her paws before meeting her gaze "Don't worry, initiation is about what lies within your heart. Devote yourself fully to your studies and you have little to fear" Littlestar had spoken, her word final. There would be no changing the decision now that it had been made, she moved passed the she-cat glancing back at Bloodyrondo "A word?"
Oakshade paled at Littlestar's judgement. He now knew what happened to cats that failed Initiation and in his heart he greatly doubted that Cypressblaze would pass. She had always been devoted to Selene nearly to the point of obsession; it would take a miracle for her to see the Sun God's way of things. He watched as she let out a sarcastic laugh and opened her mouth to deny the invitation but he cut her off, "That paw looks awfully wounded, Cypressblaze, we can talk after you have been treated. I'll lead you up to the healer's den. Which, as it so happens, is also the High Priestess's den! Our leader is our healer here, funny, right?"
"You're joking. I'm not going---"
"Shh, it's okay, you can lean on me."
The two brown-furred siblings exited the main camp toward the healer's den while Oakshade explained to Cypressblaze what was going to happen next. It was okay, he and Mapledawn had both passed, surely if the two of them worked hard enough they could bring their sister around... ---
Bloodyrondo was smug about this judgment and smirked as the two ex MoonClan cats padded away. He may have bent the truth a little bit but any chance to make SunClan stronger and MoonClan weaker was much too good an opportunity to pass up. He hadn't even known she was the sister of Mapledawn and Oakshade which only made his decision sweeter. He didn't care much for either of them and the worry clear on Oakshade's face proved that Bloodyrondo had struck a cord.
"Yes, Littlestar?" He gave her an exaggerated bow, something he would never have done before his demotion, "I'm at your service, as always."

Littlestar waited until the two cats started up the incline to her den before turning to Bloodyrondo "You may have gotten your way this time, but I suggest you reign it in. Taking cats off their lands and forcing them into initiation... really?"she knew he was upset with her for stripping him of his rank, but he was taking it to far. She had begun slowly lifting his restrictions and allowing him access to Satinlights, but she could put them back in place just as easily "better be on your best behavior" she warned letting her tail flick his shoulder before walking up towards her den to deal with the she-cat's wounds..
"Everything I do is for the greater good of SunClan. I would never act in a way that would put our peace at risk," Bloodyrondo growled but his fur stayed smooth and he didn't seem all the fired up. His body language alone told Littlestar that her assumption had been correct. He didn't follow after her as she headed up toward the High Priestess's den but he kept his eyes on her for her entire ascent. He should be going up there, too, to help treat the poor little MoonClan crow and get his own wounds tended as well. But he wouldn't dare intrude. He could take care of himself.
---
"Oakstorm, you're just as crazy as all the rest of these cats, I'm not going to change my name and Initiate. In fact, I refuse to call you by your new heathen name. Surely you know how to get me out of here. What is stopping you?"
"Cypressblaze, it's not that simple..." She was always difficult but now that he had lost all of her trust she was impossible to reason with. Oakshade frowned and tried to lick a few of her scratches but she swatted him away with her good paw and went to work on them by herself. Telling her that she had SunClan blood had crossed his mind but he was sure she was deny it. She'd tell him he was a brainwashed mouse-brained idiot.
"Sure it is!" She hissed back, eyes blazing, she'd been given that suffix for a reason. Cypressblaze was trembling like a leaf now that there were no unwelcome eyes on her and Oakshade really did pity her, "MoonClan would never pull something like this. Leviathan is a gentleman. He'd let me leave. But no, not your precious Littlestar, no, your Sun God denies me. I can't believe that you listen to the likes of him. He thinks so lowly of his followers that he won't even grace you with his name. Unlike Selene."
"Now, listen Cypressblaze, you can't---"
"You know what's funny? He won't give you his name what he takes yours away forever. You're supposed to be Oakstorm, Maplestar is supposed to be Maplestar, and if you think for a second I'm going to give up my identity to appease you then you have another thing coming. The hypocrisy around here is smothering me already and I haven't even been in camp for more than twenty minutes."
They continued to bicker as Littlestar approached.

Littlestar listened to the bickering siblings, not that it surprised her all that much. She was from MoonClan, and she would have reacted much in the same manner had she been dragged to MoonClan However, the she-cat's sheer determination would come back to bite her if she wasn't careful. Pushing through the entrance to her den she walked over to where she kept her herbs and grabbed some salve and cobwebs to wrap her paw with "It really is a pitty that Selene didn't take advantage of your loyalty and strength while she had the chance" she settled down holding down the she-cat's paw while she began applying salve with the other not taking no for an answer with the practiced precision of a healer "And you might not want to choose your initiate name, but I do suggest you choose one soon. If not I shall have to choose one for you" the only thing worse than having your old name being washed away, was not even being able to choose your new one" she began wrapped the cobwebs tightly to keep her from injuring herself "I have watched the journey of many initiates, they all start off the same. Reluctant and clinging to their old ways, but the Sun God has ways of making his way into your heart"
Aurorakit was tossing and turning in her nest, having a hard time napping when she heard Oakshade bickering with another cat outside. Her little ears perked up as the wobbly little she cat climbed out of her nest and hurried out of the nursery to see what the fuss was about. She saw the tip of her uncle's tail disappear inside the den and ran after him, the patchy black and gray kit couldn't help but let out an excited purr, that all but instantly died in her throat when her dark brown eyes fell on the strange she cat with him. "W-who's that?" she asked, her voice shaky even though she tried her best to make herself look bigger than she actually was.
"OH, I'd love to hear what you have to call me." Cypressblaze scoffed but she let the SunClan leader see to her wounds, there was no harm in that. Unlike that punk that drug her here, she did have some respect for Littlestar, after all she had to put up with Foxbane for all of those hellish mons of that cat's leadership, "But don't you dare speak ill of Selene. She doesn't take advantage of any cat unlike her brother." She glared at Oakshade now, it was hard not to make the comparison, then she turned her evergreen gaze back to Littlestar, "The moment I'm well enough to use all four paws I'm going home. You can keep my foolish siblings."
"Cypressblaze!" Oakshade chastised her, then turned to Littlestar, "She doesn't mean that--- Uh... Aurorakit? Where's your mother?" This really wasn't a good time to introduce the kits to Cypressblaze. She was cornered and hurt and the last thing he wanted to do was further elevate the situation.

Littlestar chuckled "I wouldn't dream of it dear, even with the Sun and Moon at war, Selene is still our God's sister" she mused as she tied the cobwebs tight "However, I can't allow you just to leave. You see once you become an initiate there is no leaving until you have faced our initiation ceremony. I could have you locked away and imprisoned until then, however I would rather give you some of your freedom. After all you do have a brother and sister among our ranks" noticing the small kit, she smiled kindly motioning for her to come on over. She hadn't planned on introducing them yet, but perhaps seeing the little faces would help convince her to stay "Aurorakit this is your aunt Cypressblaze, she is going to be coming to SunClan as an initiate. We were just discussing what her new initiate name is going to be. What do you think we should call her?" she purred
Her Leader beckoning her was all it took to get the tiny kit to move forward, her shakiness fading away, and she grew more confident the closer she got, knowing full well that her leader wouldn't let any harm come to her. Nor would her uncle for that matter. "Really!?" she gasped, her eyes growing wide with shock. The surprise in them quickly turning to excitement as she looked to Cypressblaze then back to Oakshade. "She's sleeping" she mewed softly, almost dismissively in regards to his question before turning her attention back to Littlestar. "Hmm.." she murmured looking over her newly discovered aunt. Her mother had told her and her siblings they had kin in MoonClan of course but, being as young as she was Aurorakit didn't understand how that could be true when she was full blooded SunClan. "How about Sassy?" she offered, a small mrrow of laughter escaping her lips.
Cypressblaze stood up, shirking away Littlestar's touch and forcing Oakshade to take a cautious step back. He knew what his sister needed space and at this point he may as well let her do what she wants. She was an Initiate whether she accepted it or not and it was due to meet her new nieces and nephews regardless, "That's one of Mapledawn and Stridesplash's kits. They had four kits. Once Littlestar is done looking after your wounds, I'll take you to meet the rest of them..."
"They call you Aurorakit... it's cheeky, really. You can only view an aurora in the night sky high up in our sister Clan of WinterClan. I've only seen it once: It is beautiful. Not something you'll ever witness in SunClan, though. It really is a shame that you were cursed to be born in this wretched Clan. You are a daughter of the Moon Goddess if I've ever seen one." Cypressblaze had tuned out the other cats around her and placed her entire focus on the young kit. It was the only way she could speak so bluntly without losing her cool. Sure, she was trembling, but that was due to her injury, not nerves, right?
"We are just going to call her Sassy..." Oakshade said quietly to Littlestar, his tail low.

"Suit yourself" she chuckled at the new initiate's name. "Go on, just take it easy. Once your healed we will start your real training" she waved her tail in dismissal as she began placing her healing supplied back into their places.
Aurorakit flinched at her aunts words as if she'd actually struck her. "I'm not a daughter of the moon! I belong in SunClan" she protested. Her brown eyes were wide with surprise, and her black and gray patch work of a pelt some how fluffed up more than it was already, her fur was still kitten fluff had not yet turned into the usual sleek fur of a cat yet. She frowned up at her aunt, more worried about her than upset about her words. "SunClan is your home now too."
"Fat chance of that, little one," Cypressblaze laughed as she inspected the treatment of her paw. She hated the idea that she had accepted help from SunClan's High Priestess but it's not like she had any choice in the matter. Besides, she really didn't want to cause trouble to Oakshade or Mapledawn, no matter how much she pretended to hate them. She just had to get well enough to escape and return to the fields of the moon.
"Cypr--- Sassy, there's more kits for you to meet. How about we go visit Mapledawn and Stridesplash?" Oakshade began tentatively. He had been away from Sassy for so long that he hardly even recognized her. Before he had left he could read her like a book but now she was more guarded than the Janus's prison. He held his breath for a few moments as she didn't respond to him or move right away, although eventually she did get to her paws.
"Don't call me Sassy." She said flatly and exited the den with a pronounced limp, "Aurorakit, take me to your mother, will you?"

Brightkit had been playing with a leaf, when she noticed her uncle and sister disappear into the High Priestess' den with some strange she-cat. When they didn't emerge after a few minutes, she found herself stalking up the path with her ears perked up listening to the conversation from outside. So this cat was their aunt? She had heard stories of Cypress of course, but she hadn't expected her to be quite so... crabby? She debated on barging in or returning back to the nursery, but with the news that they were headed that way any way, she burst into the den. The sunlight caught the white highlights in her fur making it shimmer like moonlight on a lake "Sassy!!! Aww your new initiate name is so cute Auntie!!!" While most cats thought Brightkit was rather.. well not bright, she often played the naive kitten card to get her way. Her words gushed out of her mouth like she was fawning over the cutest most adorable thing she had ever seen as she waltzed straight up to Sassy, placing her paws on the she-cat's face "You are going to LOVE it in SunClan!!!" she declared before sitting down beside her sister "Right Aurorakit? I know we should go and get her something to eat!!! I bet she is hungry" @samiam Jadie
Twilightkit bonked Brightkit on the head, literally trying to knock some sense into her, "You're being annoying!" He then turned his bright blue eyes to the new she-cat with clear distrust. He could see familiar features from the point of her ears to the shape of her muzzle but since she was a stranger he wasn't so quick to trust her, "Is she really going to join SunClan, Oakshade?"
"Yes, yes she is." Oakshade answered quickly, cutting off what was sure to be a snide comment from Sassy, "I think that Brightkit's idea of getting her something to eat is a great idea. How about you three go and pick out something good for her?"
"Oh, what I wouldn't give for a crow," Sassy purred, looking down at the three kits with a smirk on her face. She wasn't sure how she felt about them but at least they looked like proper MoonClan kits, "Run along, now."

Brightkit gasped audibly as her new auntie mentioned wanting crow, a bad sign to be sure. She shook her head "We don't eat crows in SunClan" she scrunched up her nose in disgust "They are filthy animals and a sign of bad luck. I'll get you a proper bird instead" she nodded her head and booped her brother back for his well aimed blow at her "I'm not being annoying, I am being friendly!" she declared jumping at him after wiggling her rump
