Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
"I bet she hasn't even realized I've left camp yet." Wolfkit told himself as he blindly stormed his way into NightClan territory. He had the vague understanding that he was no longer in SunClan but it wasn't really something that he was concerned about at the moment. No, this little golden kit's heart was a storm of complex emotions. Senses of abandonment and betrayal consumed his every thought. He'd been so upset with Mistyrose that he had decided his best option was to run away: A stranger would surely take better care of him than his own mother.
Wolfkit's brooding was interrupted when his stomach grumbled. As part of his protest he never did eat the robin that served as a catalyst for this journey. His empty stomach only amplified the nerves he had been doing such a good job of smothering. He was scared. The sun had set about twenty minutes ago and he had never been out this late all on his own before. The moon and stars seemed bigger and brighter than he had ever known them to be and he didn't appreciated their judgment. He huffed and tore his gaze away from them only to trip over a tree root and fall flat on his face, twisting his front paw in the process.
"Fox-dung!" He let out a started hiss and stayed where he fell, barely fighting off tears of frustration. Wolfkit's fire was barely even smoldering now and, although he was too proud to admit it, he really, really wanted his mama right now.
(I absolutely lost this thread, I kept seeing you linking it and I'm like, "Oh for sure, I already added that to my watchlist so I'll get to it naturally!" It was not on the list, but it is now, I'm very sorry ;___; But hey at least we got a backstory thread for him now even though he's an apprentice now)
Ratnest yawned, it was way too early to be up this early. He had easily adjusted to NightClan's nocturnal schedule, but for some reason he couldn't fall back asleep so he just gave in and got up. He sniffed, rubbing his nose as he walked to the borders to mark them so the patrols wouldn't have to work as hard. Suddenly he heard something moving, being already pretty low to the ground given his height he crouched down. Looking through the bushes he could see a kit trip and twist his paw and winced as he did. Standing up fully he approached the kit. His black figure dissolved into the darkness as the sun fell further behind the horizon. "Hey," Ratnest said gently as he approached Wolfkit, "My names Ko-" He paused and rolled his eyes, "Ratnest. Are you lost? You're in NightClan, you know."
"I'm not lost!" Wolfkit bristled, turning those bizarre constellation eyes on this on the new cat in front of him. The guy was familiar but he couldn't place it, he was too upset, too exhausted. He had tears in his eyes but quickly wiped them away and hoped Ratnest hadn't noticed, "I'm Wolfkit and I'm from... well, it doesn't matter, I'm running away." He very nearly slipped up and revealed his origin. Most Clans knew better than to harbor a SunClan kit for long so he hoped maybe he could trick this NightClan cat into believing he was from someplace else. After all, he had taken some precautions by rubbing all sorts of his mother's herbs all over his body, not that it would fool a trained nose, "If you aren't going to help me then just leave me alone and I'll be gone by morning..."
