News & Updates
11.06.2022 The site has been transformed into an archive. Thank you for all the memories here!
Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Note: Nominations aren't typically done in November, however the last set were incomplete due to the site transition.
Once again Classic is need of new Helper Moderators (HMs) and we require nominations to fill this positions. This is your chance to voice your opinion on who you would like to see become a staff member. Please nominate two people (who are not admins or clan leaders) that you think are suited for the job. If there are enough candidates, two helper moderators will be chosen to serve six-month terms, and one to serve a year. If you believe you would excel at your job, feel free to nominate yourself. Please give your reason for why you think the people you nominate would be a good choice.
Everyone on this site may nominate users except the five current administrators.
This is the first step in the nomination process. In the second step, the current moderators will vote on the candidates from the nominations found on this thread. In the final step, the administration team will choose someone from a list of the top five candidates with the most votes. This method involves everyone on the site in some way and helps eliminate a popularity contest. The candidate is chosen on their skills and ability, not how popular they are.
*Please do not make any posts other than nominations on this thread to help avoid clutter. Any posts that aren't nominations (for example, thank you posts or other comments) will be deleted for that reason. If you want to thank someone, send them a message. However, consenting to a nomination is encouraged so that the staff will know you do want to be nominated.
Happy Nominating! ♥
FAQ:
How long do nominations last? Preferably these will last for two weeks, however if there are insufficient nominations we may choose to extend the nomination period.
What does a HM do? • Assist the other moderators and administrators in the running of WCC2. • Voice their opinions on thread discussions on the moderator site. • Helping to enforce the site rules and give warnings when necessary. • When asked, help clan leaders who need extra help with their clan. (For example, running an AC for them.) • A helper moderator may also be asked to fill in for a leaderless clan or group until a permanent leader is chosen.
1) Hollypaw - :] I think i'd be a good helper mod becauseI can help with whatever is needed. I know basic HTML and BBCODE but I'm trying to learn more fancy things.
1. Fawn - she's amazing with bbcode and honestly i think she'd make a great mod who would be more than willing to help and interact with the community. i know that most of the staff is trying really hard to get everything working and well behind the scenes, but of anyone i think fawn would do a great job at helping out with users on the main site. she's already been very kind and generous by sharing her templates with users on classic and offering art, and i feel someone with that sort of kind and giving personality, along with her amazing talent, is something that the staff team could really use.
GidgetGal is your new one-year helper moderator! Fawn and Hollypaw are your six-month helper moderators! Valiance is runner-up and will step in if we need extra help!
Thanks to everyone that voted or nominated c:
i'll come back if one of them reject their promotion
