Mousekit
SunClan Kit
The Frail
Mousekit took a wobbly step out of the nursery, blinking and looking around wide eyed at all the cats going about their day. It was the first time she had dared to venture out of the safety of the nursery, even though her siblings had been making their way out to the fresh kill pile for several days now She was much smaller than her brother and adopted siblings, even though she was older than her adopted siblings by a few days. Mousekti blinked wide eyed trying to take in the sights of the camp around her
When Twilightkit saw the silver torbie she-kit exit the den he tried to curl up closer to his sleeping family and forget about her, but he couldn't shake the feeling that he aught to look after her. He knew that her real mom had gone to the Isle and that her dad was in prison and although he didn't really understand what those things were he felt bad about it. Sighing quietly, he pulled himself away from his sibling's side and stumbled after Mousekit on equally as shaky legs.
Twilightkit was a week or two younger than Mousekit and thus much closer to her size than the rest of her litter. He looked nothing like a SunClan cat but then again the only reason Mousekit did was because so many WinterClan cats had migrated here that ear-tufts and long-fur had become the norm. He padded up behind her but didn't say anything because, well, he didn't really want to talk to her. He just wanted to make sure she was okay. Just then a breeze ruffled Twilightkit's whiskers and he couldn't help but sneeze, alerting the older kit to his presence.
(disclaimer: I'm not doing anything with snakes in this thread I promise, that's for another day xD)
The long furred she-cat jumped backwards, stumbling on her paws and began rolling down the path only to end up in a heap of fur at the bottom, a little scratch above her eye from her tumble down the hill. She laid still for a moment in disbelief, before pulling herself to her paws peering up at the kit that had startled her "May the Sun God bless you"
"Mousekit, are you okay!?" Twilightkit stumbled after the older she-kit, somehow managing to make it down the slope without losing his balance and tumbling down himself. The gray-and-white tom nosed her from head to toe in search of any injuries and, when he saw the scratch above her eye, he instinctually gave it a lick. He'd never tasted blood before and made a really funny face in response to this new coppery taste. His bright blue eyes went wide as he saw the scratch fill up with blood again and he hesitated, not really wanting to taste that red stuff again, but he also didn't want it to stain her pretty white fur, "We better go see Litt---"
"Someone take a tumble?" Discordantpaw interrupted as she approached the two kits. She had a bemused smile on her face as if she was in on a prank that hadn't yet been pulled. She gave Mousekit a once over and nodded, "Yep, that's a pretty serious wound, she might even die. But we can't take you to the High Priestess's den yet. She doesn't have any cobwebs for the surgery! As it so happens, I know just the place to find some, but it might be a little... dangerous. I'm much to big to reach them though so I'll need your help... what do you say?" Her indigo eyes glowed with mischief although the kits were likely too young to recognize it.
