Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
In the underground caverns of WinterClan located in the old camp were thick layers of ice coating the walls. With it were some of the most gorgeous works of art were carved by claw into the ice from WinterClan warriors generations ago. The caverns were something of a museum in WinterClan, which made it the perfect environment to explore.
Snakefang calmly led his date through the caverns, occasionally stopping at carvings that caught his attention. Still thinking of what to say to her, he remained silent. Honestly, silence was probably the best choice right now. From what he felt from her, something about her seemed...off. On the surface, she was perfect to him but underneath that beautiful exterior was something that didn't quite match. It was a strange pairing this was. A DayClan and a WinterClan cat out together for a date. Is it even fair to call it a date? He glanced over to her to see how she was taking in her all her surroundings. He wouldn't have been surprised if she wasn't, all things considered.
Bluejay's entire life had been staring out a murky glass window or wandering the overgrown dead gardens behind gnarled iron gates. Fourteen moons of her life she was isolated and as such it took a toll on her during times like this. Dating. She didn't know how to behave on a date, so she was following his social cues, which was total and complete silence, hot. She felt she already understood him, probably the strong silent type, she could get behind that. It made sense that dates were apparently silent, gave others a chance to get to know them not through words, but their actions. She liked Snakefang's long fangs, they glinted in the dark and carried a threatening presence that sent shivers down her spine. He had attractive shadow swept grey fur with zig zag stormy darker waves of fur rolling down his pelt like lightning, she had never seen a tom more devastatingly handsome than him. Although in fairness she had only seen DayClan and SunClan cats, never in her life had she met someone outside of the ForestClans, he was as mysterious as they came. Bluejay's fur shined like unearthed silver, shimmery with a flare of radiance. White as the back of a moonlit moon thick spiky fur blooms from her neck and chest like a hood of starlight. The darkness funneling down her pelt were like black pressed roses with the traditional two feathers behind her ear. She looked perfect, but her right eye had two pupils, it was ghoulish to look at, her only flaw.
She leaned in closer to him as they walked quietly through the museum of ice.
He felt his fur burn hot from her touch, unsure of how to react to it but he didn't pull away. This was a new experience for him, nothing he would have thought would he would be in this situation. But, strangely, he was pleased with it. The art surrounding provided him with a sense of relaxation and a sort of distraction from what was happening. She must be taking this well, all things considered. Despite what he thought of her, she wasn't as bad as he initially thought. Maybe he was wrong all along?
Feeling that the silence was becoming too overbearing, he decided now would be the time to actually speak to her. "Hey, Bluejay, right? How are you enjoying this...date thing?" he asked her as he looked at her.
"Well, it's freezing, there's no sunlight, and you're hardly talking to me, so I'd say best day of my life honestly," Bluejay said with a sharp little grin as she began walking backwards in order to talk to him, "Honestly I don't think you're going to like me much, I'm pretty bad socially, I don't know any words that are past four syllables, and I've brought SunClan and DayClan to their knees twice so I'm not really a nice person either. But hey, maybe I can be a good wife. How many kids are you looking for anyways, we talking three or something wild like fourteen?"
She definitely didn't beat around the bush, directly telling him her flaws and diving right into the topic about kits.
He was surprised at first but then a grin surfaced on his face. The straightforward approach, I see. I can handle that. He let out a light chuckle. "That can't be right since you're here with me. I'm sure you had the choice on whether or not you wanted to go on this date," he responded with a raised brow, ignoring the suggestion of kits. He would get to that at a later time. But in the meantime, he would try to have fun with it. At first he wasn't sure how she was going to act during their time together, but now he had a decent idea of what he was in for.
"Well, I'm hoping you'll like me," Bluejay said with a shy smile that reached to her eyes, reflecting a warm friendly demeanor, "I was really isolated most of my life in DayClan. I grew up all by myself after my clan rejected me as a kit so expressing myself with words doesn't come as naturally to me as well." She leaned into him closer, "Silent moments like these. What I can express into words though is that you're pretty darn hot," She said, a smile playing at her lips as her hips brushed into his mischievously.
It must have been rough for her he thought to himself. It gave him something to think about. What happened after he birth that made her clan outcast like she said she was? A frown formed briefly before it was replaced with a small grin from her touch. Yet, again, he would have to save that for another time. "Oh, is that right?" he asked the she-cat incredulously in a joking manner. A part of him felt reluctant to accept the compliment. Was she toying with him or was she serious? "Hmm....where would you like to go next, ma'am?" he said as he looked around the museum. He wasn't paying much attention to it anymore and from it looked like, Bluejay wasn't either. Perhaps doing something more exciting would do wonders.
"Oh um... I don't know, I don't live here, but maybe we could just sit down and hangout? That's a normal thing to do right?" Bluejay asked, but this time she turned to look at him directly, her gaze caught on his handsome face. She gave a half smile, her body feeling weak, she was staring, but could hardly look away. She had been playing confident this whole time, not really drinking in the scenery let alone Snakefang, but now staring at him up close he made her feel off her game. She laughed nervously, turning her golden golden gaze away from Snakefang shyly. How long did she stare at him just now, he probably thought she was a weirdo, "Like um." Why did she feel she had to keep talking to save this conversation? "have you ever been in love before?"
"Oh...um...." he started to say as he caught Bluejay staring at him, for what seemed like forever. That was odd. He never considered himself to be something to look at like that, but she fancied him. "Yeah, I mean we can hang out, of course." he as he chuckled nervously, the act making him uncomfortable. He didn't leave camp often but when he did, it was usually for border and hunting patrols. Not once did he consider a location more...romantic. He was disappointed in himself for never considering this scenario. He thought hard, but nothing came to mind. But he earned a brief reprieve when the she-cat asked a bizarre question - has he ever been in love. He didn't know how to answer that. "I, uh, can't say I have honestly. I've never really...thought about it y'know?" he responded sourly. Hesitantly, he asked her the same thing. "Have you?"
