Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
DayClan’s land coexisted with a farm that a two-leg actively cared for. Due to the two-legs pest issue with rats the clan cats were always a welcomed presence in the two-legs den. This allowed for the two apprentices to openly explore the stables and other farm animals freely.
Jetclaw my apprentice hasn't been accepted into winterclan yet, and the thread says they aren't even taking apprentices rn actually. so i'm wondering how we can fit this thread into the timeline. got any ideas? c:
he's supposed to be having a crush that gets him into the clan, but after that, he's going to realize his crush doesn't like him. we could imagine that has already happened, but i'm wondering if I need to wait to hear about his acceptance before I rp him.
(could have it be where Glowstar accidentally presumed Cinder was a WinterClan cat (from his thicker fur) and extended the invite to him for a blind date and he accepted. He and Zinniapaw hit it off but now she thinks he's a WinterClan apprentice so he tries to join there. If he isn't accepted he could join DayClan to be with Zinniapaw (playing it off as he decided he liked her enough to join her)
Zinniapaw circled around the farm, looking around for any sign of the cat who had been chosen as her date. The she cat's tail twitching.
"Oh, I hope whoever it was hasn't forgotten they were supposed to come, or got lost or something," Zinniapaw muttered, coming to a stop near the entrance to the barn, huffing as she sat down.
Cinder looked up at the large den in front of him. He found it curious that the wild cats he was beginning to get to know were able to live so harmoniously with the tall creatures. His owner chased away any cats that had managed to find their way onto his small territory, but it appeared that the relationship here was more harmonious. Or perhaps the den was abandoned. Either way, Cinder felt relaxed.
He had been spending time with his crush when she had mentioned to him that her clan was trying to inter-date with another group of cats. He hadn't understood much of what she was saying, but truth be told, he had been paying more attention to the sound of her beautiful voice than her actual words. But then he had agreed to whatever she was saying on a whim, and he had found himself - surprise! - agreeing to go on a date...with a different cat than her. She had seemed so nonchalant about that, and the idea bothered him a little. He liked her very much. But if this was something for the good of her clan, he could hardly blame her for pushing the idea. So to make her happy, Cinder had decided to go on the date anyway. No harm right? He would just explain to whatever cat he saw there that there had been a mistake.
Near the entrance of the barn sat a ginger and white she-cat. As Cinder neared her, he stopped for a moment. The tom had been spending enough time with his crush that her scent had rubbed off on him, but he was sure there was something off to his own smell. He hoped that this wild cat wasn't like the ones from the stories, the kind that would attack a cat with a foreign scent on sight. He felt a little thrill from the possible danger. Taking a deep breath, he began moving again. Closer and closer until he was right in front of her.
Just tell her, Cinder thought to himself. Explain that you're not interested in a 'date'. But what came out of his mouth was unexpected.
"Your eyes - they're green. How beautiful." What? That hadn't been what he'd meant to say. But damn him if it wasn't true. Cinder's own eyes were a dull yellow, but this cat's exuded life. He was drawn in and...interested. What would that life translate to? Passion, maybe. Or hatred for an outsider.
_ ooc; okay, this was a little longer just so I could set up the bg a little. you had a good idea, so I just sort of ran with it and found a way to include the other person's cat in his thoughts as well
Zinniapaw blinked startled that the first encounter with this tom was a compliment about her eyes. She let out a purr and lifted her chin a bit. "Why thank you!" She said tail lifting in delight. "I take it you're my date from WinterClan?" She asked rising to her paws. "I'm Zinniapaw! Nice to meet you!"
(cookie, sorry for the late response been trying to get back in the swing of things)
When the she-cat reacted with delight, Cinder felt his mouth lift in a dopey half-smile. He loved romancing cats, and at her pleased reaction, Cinder felt happy. There was no reason he couldn't just enjoy his date and the good company. He was sure Chestnutpaw wouldn't mind. After all, she'd encouraged him to attend this blind date. Stepping closer to Zinniapaw as she stood, the large gray tom replied, "Yes, I am! It's so lovely to meet you as well. My name is Cinder. I'll be named Cinderpaw soon though." He looked around him at the giant den. "Care to show me around miss?" _ ooc; hey no worries jet c:
Zinniapaw nodded. "Sure thing Cinderpaw!" She said with a purr. "Come on, come on, I'll show you the stables first. We have to be careful cause the horses are big and if you're not careful you could get stepped on."
The tom was so happy that she'd called him Cinderpaw. It made everything feel so real. Cinder followed her to the stables, wondering what a horse was. "How big are we talkin'?" he questioned, looking back down at Zinniapaw.
Zinniapaw chuckled as they entered the barn, striding in through the door like she owned the place. As she led Cinderpaw inside she flicked her tail towards one of the stalls, and as if on cue the massive head of a horse appeared the horse looking towards the two cats, before letting out a huffing noise and turning to look about the space, nickering a greeting to its neighbor who also stuck its head out.
"Those, are horses." Zinniapaw said proudly gesturing to them with her tail.
Woah, that was the biggest thing Cinder had ever laid eyes on. He bounded forward, sniffing at the horse. "You don't seem scared," he meowed back to Zinniapaw. "Don't they ever attack you?"
