Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
For long back generations the Keepers Mansion sat on DayClan’s land, uninhabited, but rumored to be haunted. Long ago there was a rank in DayClan known as the Keepers, but DayClan turned on them and they took refuge in the mansion. No one heard from them since, but rumor has it that they lurk haunting the building. Now it’s your turn to explore the haunted keepers mansion, but at least you have a date to hug onto if you get scared.
The place certainly wouldn't have been her first choice. But she wasn't going to complain. There were many reasons she agreed to this blind date. She felt she owed it to help the Clan that had taken her in so many seasons ago, but also she had always toyed with the thought of family. Maybe she thought it would give her purpose. Maybe she thought, with kits raised to be DayClan (hopefully she'd be allowed as much, and that her date wasn't adamant that any kits were to be WinterClan-raised), that she could try to put to rest all those old doubts that were slowly rising back to the surface. Maybe she could start to feel like she could call her self a DayClan warrior instead of a SunClan refugee.
She let out a low sigh as she waited, gaze drifting from the mansion to her paws. She had tried to develop new habits for her new roles in the Clan to keep from falling into the old ones she had learned from her birth Clan, and in an attempt to calm herself - she wasn't entirely certain if she was more nervous of the mansion or the coming date - she quietly recited what she knew about the old building. She had gotten here early, just in case. She couldn't have stood it if she had ended up arriving late for any reason. She couldn't mess this up, or she'd be letting DayClan down. Clearly that was the wrong decision, though, her weight shifting from one forepaw to the other as she slowly shredded the dirt and grass underpaw, messing up the careful grooming she had undergone beforehand as her white paws were dirtied by her actions. Oh well, it wasn't like her scruffy pelt had cooperated much in the first place...

When asked why she signed up for this blind date thing, Cocoawoods would shrug before changing the topic. The Winterclan warrior never seemed desperate for a mate, always a bit too straightlaced and pushy for something like that. Now, the rebel daughter of Mistyveil made the long trek to Dayclan for the very same purpose. Long brown fur engulfed her frame, getting heavier the more she climbed down the mountain. Even though her path brought her nowhere close to Sunclan, she couldn't help but look across the way towards the forest some of her family now called home. But there was no way she could follow them, not after what her mother had done. Maybe it was part of the reason she signed up for this, to spite the clan Misty joined even though she knew her mother wouldn't care one way or the other. It was how she always was, and Cocoawoods needed to play that game too. Much as the topic kept coming to mind.
So when the scent of her Dayclan date blew her way, she tried to relax. Though really, just ended up stiffening up. Even as her date became clearer and clearer in the dimming sun, Cocoa couldn't help but be surprised. Cause it definitely looked like another girl. Not what she was expecting but alright. When she walked up to Twist, tall and proud to accentuate her features, a small part of her old self came back and she smiled sheepishly. "Are you here for the blind date, by chance?"
An ear twitched at the sound of approaching pawsteps, and she cut herself off mid-sentence. She had never really let go of her natural hyper-awareness of her surroundings. Growing up paranoid in as dangerous a place as her home Clan could do that to a cat. Her head lifted up and Twist looked over her shoulder, mouth open a fraction to pick out the scent of whoever she had heard. Definitely not DayClan, or anything overly familiar. Must be WinterClan. Which suggested this was her date.
She lifted one paw idly, shaking it to try and dislodge any dirt still clinging to it. Then she turned and faced Cocoawoods with a small nod of greeting. Her own nerves were still pretty obvious, though, the tip of her tail twitching behind her and her ears tilted back halfway. She somewhat unconsciously matched the other she-cat's sheepish smile as she replied, "Yes, actually, I am. And you?"

This was her date, huh? Cocoawoods couldn't doubt that anymore. Looks like they were both nervous too. For as much as she wanted to shed that old self of her's, it still clung like onto her like a bad friend. Even as she tried to hold still, to have some bit of confidence, her paws kept shuffling underneath her. Still, she could at least fake it till she made it. So despite them, the chocolate-colored she-cat took a deep breath to steel her nerves and nodded to Twist. "Yes, I am. I'm Cocoawoods of Winterclan." Placing one of her trembling paws on her chest, the rest of her held still.
She gave a small half-nod at the she-cat's introduction. "It's nice to meet you, Cocoawoods." She could at least ease some of the tension out of her posture with confirmation that her assumption had been correct. Not that she'd doubted it much. "Well, I'm Twist of DayClan." For a moment she almost added a quiet, 'for now,' but she held her tongue. No need to get her likely baseless worries tangled up in this date. She slowly got to her paws, trying to think of what should be talked about next. She'd never been the most social of cats in the first place. Frankly, she knew even less of how to go about a date. Maybe she should've asked Glowstar for some advice. Eventually, glancing towards the building they were intended to explore, she asked, "So, do you know much about the Mansion?" She glanced back over her shoulder at the WinterClan she-cat as she added, "It's hard to tell how far DayClan's stories travel, especially from within DayClan."

There was going to be some stumblings through this date, Cocoawoods could tell. At least Twist was who was she supposed to meet, and not some other cat here to spy. Or who knows what else. Still, she took some comfort in knowing that this was gonna be a little awkward for both of them. All the confidence in the world meant little when she had no clue what to say. She scanned the mansion, one that loomed over them with boards hanging from this window and that and vines wrapping around whatever they could get their greedy little leaves on. "Not much, those sorts of tales haven't made it to my ears yet. What's this place's story?" Her family was more connected with Sunclan anyway, Dayclan was a bit of a mystery. That was why she was here.
