Deep in the house, that crawled with a mean, cruel and dangerous group of cats headed by their King and Queen, a young she-cat in a nest deep within what would have been the "Master Bedroom" if it was still flourishing, was fast asleep, her parents sleeping on either side of her. The next day was to be a celebration, marking her as the heir to the throne and her coming of age, but that day wouldn't come, instead, travesty erupted before their eyes. A two-leg had torched the place and the once quiet night was now filled with yowls and screeches of terror. Flames and smoke crawled into every room, setting everything in it's path ablaze. A few of the Soldiers, burst into the "Master Room" and urged the royal family out of their nests and into the darkness of night.
The family watched in horror as their home was destroyed, the flames had engulfed the whole building and was now breaking it down and turning it to rumbling heaps, where it once stood. Many of their subjects had died and yet some who had escaped died as they laid on the grass, trying to catch their breath or trying to clean bleeding wounds, and even some committed suicide, as they knew they wouldn't make it. The outside was wet, as rain was pounding down from the sky. The royal family sat in silence for a while, and said their farewells and decided to move on with the remaining cats to find a new home. They traveled for days, hunting what little prey they could find, some died of poisoned meat that Two-legs had left out to kill some of the other animals. Still, others died from fighting badgers, foxes, and other gangs.
Eventually, it was just Cranberry and her parents and a small fraction of her Solders, but that didn't last long as her Parents fell ill and died and as any good soldier would do, the remaining members killed themselves, leaving Cranberry to find a new life of her own. She was already close to the SpringClan border. After she buried the rest of her family, she shook out her wet pelt and made her way to the border, where the red fox-like she-cat sat down waiting for a patrol to come by. The red Somali cat could smell the markers of the Clan and didn't want to trespass, so she waited instead.
Oceanicbreeze wasn't quite used to SpringClan yet, but paused when he spotted the red almost cranberry colored she-cat in the distance. For his entire life he came from pretty welcoming clans so he wasn't exactly put on edge by the intruders appearance and instead approached her. Oceanicbreeze was towering, his shadow loomed over her as he approached, there was simply few cats anyone would see taller than him. He had a unique shade of blue grey fur and his eyes were such a mix of light blue and copper in the sunlight that they almost appeared pink. The light filtering through the cherry blossom trees reflected back a glittery wave of blue light across his eyes wiping away any traces of pink. It was like anytime you looked at him his eyes could change colors based on how the light played against the. "Are you alright?" He asked.

Cranberry waited for a while and soon saw another cat heading her way. She stood up and waited for the other cat to come closer. It was a tom and he seemed friendly. She shook her head quietly and let out a long sigh, before speaking. "I'm not. I just lost my whole family to a mousebrained Two-leg who set my den on fire. It killed most of my family and on the way to find a new home, my family died from either foxes, badgers, poisoned food, or some other disaster. I'm the only one that has survived and I have nowhere else to go." She explained to him quietly as she then lifted her right paw and began to lick it clean.
Oceanicbreeze's jaw dropped, "that's awful!" He exclaimed, horror high in his voice. There was nothing more he could relate to being a past WaterClan member. His clan had been hit with a plague and then drowned out of their territory, he lost many of his clan mates and to hear that this cat had lost her family brought the rough memories hurdling back. He almost wanted to ask her if she was sure they weren't alive, he wanted to do more, to have been there, but that time had clearly long passed even though he wished it hadn't. Looking at her, hearing her voice she confessed all that hurt so easily, in such a matter of a fact nature it burned him up inside. How long had she gone through such pain before it felt like normalcy to her? His heart ached at the thought as he came to her side, "I'm so sorry," He whispered to her, "I'm from SpringClan if you've heard of clan cats before? Maybe you would be able to join and if you're not I'll find you a home," He promised.

Cranberry shook her head. "I have heard of other Gangs, but not Clans." She replied to him as she allowed him close to her. "What is SpringClan?" She asked curiously as she tilted her head to the side, her eyes full of hurt and yet a spark of curiosity could slightly seem within them. Her stomach growled in protest as she hadn't had food in several sunrises, too distraught over the death of her family to eat or drink. "I wouldn't mind checking out the Clan and seeing if I like it, and then maybe decide if I wanna join or not." She replied with a small smile and wave of her tail.
Oceanicbreeze smiled, the longer he stared at her fiery red fur, the more he found the sunlight shined her best features. Her fur almost seemed like a flickering flame to him, but once he realized he was staring he immediately moved his seafoam green gaze away from her, "Um," He cleared his throat, "I'm sure that would be completely alright. Our leader Thistlestar is amazing and I'm sure he has no issues with giving you a good clan experience. If you're interested though you may follow me."
With that Oceanicbreeze turned around and beckoned her with his tail to follow as he began padding into SpringClan.
