okay here's the whole family, anyone who ends up with rosykit and devilkit pao c; will be added in paoPhantomConsuelacircle
The kits were old enough to go out and Stormsurge had told her older children to meet them outside the nursery. Today the family would all be together for the very first time. Stormsurge should probably be happy, instead she already felt tired to the bone.
Still, as the morning sun crept up into the sky she gave herself a wash and roused the kittens. "Come on," she meowed briskly, "time to meet everyone." Rosykit and Devilkit seemed lethargic and Stormsurge tried to dismiss her fears. Since the death of Yellowkit she'd become quite worrisome about these kits. Previously, she hadn't thought much about the possibility of losing any of them. Now that seemed to be all she thought about.
Dartkit yawned, showing his tiny teeth and scrambled over the moss nest, tail waving happily. "Alright!" He squeaked, leading the charge from the den. Outside was big, and it caused him to freeze, taking a hesitant step back as the slightly blurry view of cats surprised him.
Tundrafreeze and Aurorashine sat side by side, waiting for their new siblings and Stormsurge. The others should be here soon, but the air about them wasn't one of joy. Stormsurge was not a cat they regularly wanted to see.
Unlike his brother, Centipedekit was less compliant in rising. At his mother's rouse, he simply opened his eyes revealing an intense yellow gaze. He stared up at his mother, but remained in the comfort of the moss bed. He dreaded this moment. Not the fact that he was finally going to leave the nursery, that he was excited for, but the idea of meeting so many new cats. It left him feeling unsettled. He understood that these were his siblings, family even, but he couldn't help but be suspicious.
Centipedekit remained comfortable in his spot, but sat up, staring up at his mother, his gaze far too serious and intense for a cat his age, concern dripping as clear as day from the pair of yellow orbs. He turned briefly to watch as his much braver (or stupider) brother made his way outside. "Do we have to go?..." He finally spoke up, his words quiet yet firm as he stared back up at his mother.
Toxickit lifted her head at the sound of her mothers voice, her large amber eyes already clear of sleep as she got to her paws, shaking her grey and ginger coat to free it of the moss that stuck to it. "You shouldn't question mother, Centipedekit." The words were spoken over her shoulder as she made her way out of the nursery, it was clear even now that Toxickit was much like Stormsurge. As she stepped out into the clearing and took in the large space her eyes lit up, she was much smaller than a kit her age should be, making the clearing look that much bigger.
Northpaw had debated not showing up to the get together, she wanted nothing to do with their mother and was sure that it was a mutual feeling but still, she got to her paws, nudging Arcticpaw to his feet. She had played guardian to her deaf brother since kithood and remained at his side now as apprentices since both had been held back. "I dont understand why she wasnt us to be there." She spoke to her brother, even though she knew he wouldnt hear a single word.
The two apprentices, one blind, one deaf, padded to the nursery to join the already waiting Tundrafreeze and Aurorashine. "Have you two been waiting long?" Northpaw didn't look up as she spoke, and stayed a short distance from them, her tail remaining on Arcticpaws shoulder.

"Yes," Stormsurge meowed simply, looking at Centipedekit with usual stern expression. "It's time you kits saw some of the outside, and met some clanmates. These are cats you'll know for your entire life." She also wanted to get a better feel for how the interacted with others. It had been easy to see Polarblast as the most promising of her last litter, but she hoped very much that the decision was harder for her this time.
At Toxickit's words and confident walk the queen felt her interest peak, perhaps she'd found her answer. Toxickit seemed to remind her very much of Polarblast, and also of herself. That certainly bode well for the future of her smallest kit. The gray queen nudged Rosykit and Devilkit awake and waited pointedly for Centipedekit to follow his sister.
Aurorashine had the look of her mother, there was a calculating, shrew air about her. But she never seemed to display anything like the coldness of their mother. Instead she seemed self-assured and no-nonsense, preferring action to words. It wasn't a bad way to be, but her fierce independence had cost her a relationship with her siblings. "No," she answered, voice light and a tail wave in Arcticpaw's direction, "not very long. And I think the kits are coming out. We surprised a tom, a long furred calico. And a small gray and ginger she-cat just came out." The descriptions were short, concise, and meant to help Northpaw build the picture of what their new siblings looked like.
Tundrafreeze had thus far only shifted awkwardly, unable to say much more than a stuttered hello. He'd never been confident enough to be close with his sister, he couldn't stand Polarblast, and Northpaw and Arcticpaw had bonded over things he couldn't understand. He was alone among them.
Centipedekit frowned a bit at his sister and mother's responses, but knew better than to argue against her. He rose slowly, stepping away from the safety of his mother's side as he made his way carefully towards the entrance. He stopped just shy of the a few tail lengths, turning back to give him mother a look of uncertainty, but instead found to be be too preoccupied with his other siblings to notice him. With a heavy sigh, he stepped forward until he exited the den, wincing at the brightness of the sun. It took a few moments for his eyes to adjust but as they did, he finally took a long look at the new world around him. It was spacious and colorful, with cats of every size and color lounged around or walking in and out of dens. After gazing around in quiet wonder, Centipedekit's gaze finally landed to his sister, Toxickit who stood ahead of him, facing a small group of cats that all ranged in colors and sizes. He stared on cautiously and still, not making an effort to move any closer. There was too many of them and he was essentially alone as his sister was already making her way towards them.
Polarblast had been requested by his mother to appear with the rest of his siblings to meet their new siblings. Running late due to his patrol getting back later than he expected, the tom hurried over towards his littermates. Taking a stand next time Tundrafreeze, he asked, "have Mother brought them out yet?"
Northpaw flattened her ears as soon as Polarblast spoke, quickly regaining her composure she turned to face him. "It doesnt seem like mothers come out yet, bu--" she was cut off as a small voice called out, followed by the soft sound of paw steps.
"Are you all it?" Toxickit looked over the older cats gathered before her with judgmental amber eyes, taking in each of them and committing them to memory. "I'm Toxickit." She purred proudly, lifting her head and puffing out her chest to give herself some added height. She was the smallest but had by far the largest attitude and voice, as she stood there she cut her big eyes back at her older siblings, as if daring one of them to comment on her shortness.
Polarblast turned his eyes away from Northpaw to look over the newly emerged kit. Well, Toxickit was definitely confident, but what did Mother think? Was the kit worth of their line? Were any of them like his siblings..worthless? The tom sat at his full height and waited for Mother to emerge from the den.

Stormsurge slipped out of her den just in time to hear Toxickit's question, "yes," she answered, voice dripping with disdain as she took in her older litter, "these are them. Introduce yourselves."
Tundrafreeze was opening his mouth to answer Polarblast when Stormsurge showed herself and his jaw snapped shut at her tone. He was stuck between animosity and desire to make that disdain in her voice vanish. So he straightened up and took in the kits, "I'm Tundrafreeze," he began, "I'm one of your older brothers, the youngest."
Aurorashine's neck fur had fluffed with indignation at their mother's voice, but she reminded herself that these kits would need their siblings to be there for them. Stormsurge was a hard mother to have. So she forced herself to relax and said, "And I'm Aurorashine, second born."
Dartkit took in their words, excitement in his gaze as he looked at them all. They were all big and strong, probably the best cats in the clan! And he was going to grow up to be exactly like them.
Northpaw forced her pelt to remain flat as her mother spoke, her unseeing eyes focused on a single spot as Tundrafreeze and Aurorashine introduced themselves; she wished now more than ever that she had not shown up but as it grew quiet again she took in a breath and began to speak. "This is Arcticpaw, he is the first born, he is deaf." She pressed her shoulder to his for a moment before continuing. "And I'm Northpaw, I was the third born." Most of the clan had come to realize she was blind, having hidden it from Stormsurge for some time before being caught, she no longer kept her clouded amber eyes hidden, so it probably wouldnt be long before the kits noticed.
Arcticpaw felt his sister press against him, but kept his eyes on the kits that emerged from the nursery with their mother, confusion clouded in their depths.
Polarblast stepped forward, his chest out and his head held high just as he'd been taught. "I am the fourth born and most worthy of our siblings. Be sure to take note from the things I show up in order to please Mother. Call me Polarblast, the name Mother blessed me with when I was a kit." His gaze drew from one kit to the next, taking in each and then returned to Mother's. seeking her approval as always.

Dartkit looked at them all in wonder, sure that these were the best in WinterClan. And Polarblast seemed so confident! Excited, Dartkit scampered up close to the group, tail waving.
Stormsurge's neck fur rose when Northpaw mentioned Arcticpaw's unfortunate affliction. However, this group of kits seemed quite healthy and whatever was wrong with Arcticpaw and Northpaw seemed not to have infected this litter. Polarblast, true to her only acknowledged son, seemed mighty and trustworthy, no doubt her kids would do very well to acquaint themselves with him.
Tundrafreeze and Aurorashine rolled their eyes at Polarblast's theatrics, unimpressed with his foolish worship of their mother. Aurorashine bent her head to look at Dartkit, seeing a big of them all in his face. She wondered if he'd grow up at broken as they were.
Toxickit took a step closer to her older siblings, cutting her eyes at Northpaw briefly before deciding to ignore the she-cat and set her attention on the other three. Each seemed to be very different, Polarblast being the most confident. "Mother, I want to do something with them, can I?" She wanted to get to know them more, not so much because she cared, but because she wanted to find out anything she could that would come in handy later.
Polarblast heard the little kit speak and became curious. He'd never played with kits before so he really didn't have any idea what the kit was expecting from him. Did the little one want to pay? What games did they play as kits? Polarblast couldn't remember and started to panic. Would Mother think differently of him because he didn't know how to play with his siblings?!?
Centipedekit remained at a careful distance until his mother exited the nursery, his weary gaze turning up to watch her step forward, choosing to follow closely at her side, taking in his older siblings with quiet suspicion. As each one took turns introducing themselves, Centipedekit took each cat with growing interest. They were all so big and so grown. As Polarblast took his turn to speak, Centipedekit couldn't help but flicker his ears with special interest. His older brother stood out like a sore thumb, his attitude drastically different than the rest of his siblings. It was interesting to say the least.
The fluffy grey kit looked up at his mother before finally stepping away from her shadows to face his older siblings head on while still keeping a grand distance from the group of cats. "My name is Centipedekit... it's very nice to meet you." He spoke quietly, his wide yellow eyes growing bigger as the cats now appeared bigger the closer he got. He then glanced to Toxickit, whose questionable request left even the smoky grey kit looking confused. He glanced back at his mother, awaiting her response.
