GidgetGal sorry for the weird start, figured he'd have a sort of "eyes meet across the room" moment
Demonicchicken had withdrawn during the feast, not entirely comfortable around so many cats. He watched everyone mingle with a warm heart, the sound of laughter and purrs filled the air and made him feel incredibly happy despite his current position at the edge of the crowd. SwiftClan cats wove around the cats of SummerClan and SpringClan and he wondered idly if he'd ever remember the names of even one of these cats.
Largelight sat alone on the far edge of the clearing, her round, cream-furred form curled in on herself as she leaned against the oak tree beside her for comfort. There were so many cats here. Too many cats. The former kittypet thought she had finally gotten used to it; though there had been days where the shear number of warriors in Summerclan had been overwhelming, after getting to know a lot of her clanmates, her new clan began to feel a bit smaller. More close-knit and comforting. However, nothing could've prepared her for three clans at once. It was just too much, and the young she-cat was forced to keep her distance, even as her heart yearned to be apart of the festivities; smiling and chatting and laughing together. Once again, after so much work, she felt like an outsider.

Demonicchicken shifted his weight, feeling like he wanted to walk towards the others. Start a conversation, make a few friends. But every cat seemed so content, so unafraid. Was he the only cat from outside the clans? Would this ever be okay for him? And then he saw her across the clearing. She looked just as uncomfortable as him and it stirred something in him. He had no idea of her clan, it was even possible she was from his own, but he had to meet her. There was a kindred spirit among these cats and Demonicchicken wanted to meet her. So he stepped away from his sheltered corner and padded through the masses, nodding politely as cats greeted him.
When he was in front of her he was struck by how pretty she was, he was sure she wasn't SwiftClan because he'd remember her. "Hi," he meowed, voice breaking in just the perfect moment of embarrassment, "I'm Demonicchic- Dante. I'm Dante."
Largelight had been so caught up in her thoughts that she completely didn't notice the tom approaching, and gave a start at the unexpected voice piping right beside her. "Wha-?! Oh! Hello!" Blinking in surprise, the initial panic that came with social interaction was almost immediately pacified by the recognition of a kittypet name, or what she at least considered a kittypet name. She wasn't sure how names worked for rogues or loners. "Y-You, you're from the twolegplace too, aren't you?!" She blurted out, only to flush in embarrassment at her poor manners.
"Oh! I-I'm sorry! That was so rude of me. But you are from twolegplace, right? That's definitely a twolegplace name. My name is Missy or at least it used to be Missy when I lived with my housefolk Summerclan calls me Largelight now which is actually a really nice warrior name if I'm being honest and oh geez I'm getting carried away again I'm so sorry!"
Physically covering her mouth with her paw to stop her nervous ranting, Largelight took a deep breath before slowing lowering it again. "I'm...sorry. You said your name was Dante?"

Demonicchicken decided at once he'd made a good choice. Her purred in amusement as he listened, finding her rambling immediately endearing. "It's great to meet you, Largelight. You're right, that's a great name!" Way better than his at least, she must not have let her friends name her. "I'm from twolegplace alright, maybe we were neighbors at one point!" Doubtful, he'd know her. Was it weird that he lied about his name? It must be, because knowing his luck Sliprabbit or Fuzzypeach would come along and spill the beans. No, he needed to make a friend the right way. With honesty. And that included his stupid name. "Um, yeah it was Dante. But now it's... it's Demonicchicken. But you're pretty and I didn't want you to laugh at me."
Largelight had been ready to happily chat about twolegplace and the clans, but the mention of his warrior name left her at a temporary loss for words. She...couldn't have heard that right, could she? "Wait," she spoke slowly, still somewhat confused. "Your warrior name is...?"
"Hey! Demonicchicken!" Whatever question she was going to ask was unexpectedly cut off as a young silver she-cat called out to her clanmate, waving her tail energetically. Sliprabbit seemed completely oblivious to the conversation she had interrupted, watching the duo with a cheerful, carefree grin on her muzzle. "Guess what?! I'm totally gonna be helping Ratstar of Summerclan out with swimming lessons! Isn't that so cool?! Anyways, you should totally come join us in a little bit! I'll catch ya later!" And as quickly as she showed up, the Swiftclan warrior bounded away to brag to several other members of her clan.
Largelight stared at the interrupting she-cat in awkward silence, unsure of how to respond, until she glanced sideways and noticed the self-conscious look on Demonicchicken's face. As odd as it was, it certainly meant a lot to him. She would be absolutely livid if anyone made fun of her own warrior name; it was special to her, a symbol of the new life she had made for herself. "I think it's a nice name," she finally mewed, her voice soft but comforting as her face lit up with a reassuring smile. "It's strong, yet really cute too! I think it's perfect for you!"

Demonicchicken looked up to the heavens, begging some force to smite him. Any force, he wasn't picky. Of course Sliprabbit appeared. Why wouldn't she? Feeling absolutely wretched he managed a friendly wave of his tail and called after his suddenly retreating clanmate, "congrats, Sliprabbit!"
He looked back at Largelight awkwardly, even taking one step back as though to retreat. And then she spoke. It was a nice name? Yeah okay, it was a wreck. He knew that. He'd known that when he'd shrugged and said 'sure' to Fuzzypeach naming him it. He'd hadn't really thought he'd stay in SwiftClan. But the cats and clan had captured his heart and he was now Demonicchicken for life. Normally he'd be laughing it off, making some joke about what he's like angry. But meeting cats from other clans, pretty cats from other clans was making his dormant anxiety stir. Still, she was trying to be nice. So he just dipped his head gratefully, "thanks, Largelight. But in truth, I think you have the most noble of names between us."
Largelight felt herself flush beneath her thick cream pelt at the unexpected compliment. "You really think?" She mewed with a nervous giggle, turning to give the fur on her shoulder a few licks to hide how flustered she was. "Ratstar and elder Roachpelt helped me pick it out; they're both from twolegplace too. Large stands for my fluffy pelt and light stands for my pelt color and, at least I like to think, bright and sunny attitude." The young she-cat grinned at the tom playfully. She had definitely put a lot of thought into it, far more than Demonicchicken had. "I suppose Missy is still a good name, but I wanted to really be a clan warrior, you know? I don't want to look back on my old life."

He was impressed by how thoughtful she was about her name, he'd just shrugged and said okay when Fuzzypeach had suggested Demonicchicken. He'd come to sorta regret it, though he had a fondness for the foolish name when it wasn't making him feel awkward in front of a beautiful she-cat. "Fuzzypeach said Demonic because I'm big and tough, chicken because no one will take it seriously and I'll be able to make cats lower their guard in an altercation. It's silly, I know. You... you could call me Dante if that is less strange," he offered shyly. Missy was a beautiful name too, but he could relate to that feeling. He'd wanted to avoid having a paw in both worlds too.
"No, no. I like your name!" Largelight meowed encouragingly. Demonchicken was a certainly different name, but it didn't make it bad! She thought it was unique; it made him stand out among the other clan cats all the more. "I think you should be more proud of it, actually. We're both different, but we're warriors as much as anyone else here; you shouldn't be ashamed of it, just because it's a little silly. Plus, have you ever met a chicken?" The she-cat grimaced, making a face. "Those birds are mean if you get them angry!"

[[ oof i suck, i never added this to my bookmarks and didn't realize it, I just thought you hadn't replied ;-; ]]
Demonicchicken almost scoffed, no way did she actually like his name. Still, her words after warmed him and he found himself nodding, agreeing wholeheartedly with her statement about their status as warriors. And the part about a chicken brought a small, happy laugh from him, "well you're certainly right about that! I've seen my fair share of terrifying chickens. Still, the name of those birds doesn't exactly intimidate," but he didn't sound so sad about it now.
