Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
I owned every second that this world could give I saw so many places, the things that I did Yeah with every broken bone I swear I lived
It had been a long time since he had returned to Waterclan. He has left shortly before the sickness that took over Waterclan. Chasing after a romance full of empty promises. He followed the she-cat to the Absum Lux dominated city. The she-cat had wanted to settle down, but he in his heart was a wanderer. He couldn't stay in one place to long, or his paws would start getting the itch to begin a new journey. He would get antsy or irritated until he continued on his journey. So he kissed the love of his life and his relationship goodbye and hit the road in the middle of the night leaving her high and dry. He found himself alone once again wandering through the territories. Waiting out the flood by himself completely unaware of what became of his family. He spent moons searching and trying to find his way back home. Running into rogues, dogs, twolegs, badgers, foxes each barely escaping. Each giving him a new scar. Slipping through territories without as much of a detection. His paws carrying him to the last place he had left Waterclan only to find Waterclan, Brookclan, and Earthclan's territories all destroyed. All three clans missing without a trace. He spent a few moons searching for them each time his paws leading him back to the same territory of Waterclan. His last visit he scented cats a few cats some that he recognized but there scent was stale. Scent leading his paws in the direction of the Mountain Clans. Day and Night his paws carrying him closer. As he padded up the hill he was panting for breath. He wasn't as young as he used to be and as fit as he used to be. His age catching up with him was clear, because Batseeker's muzzle had grayed more and more over the moons he had been missing. The white speckles of fur standing out against his ink black fur. His amber eyes hadn't lost the fire in them. He scented the air the scent of cats was stronger. His heart soared with hope that he had found his family and wasn't chasing a dead end lead. His amber eyes flickered up towards the sky staring at the fading stars above him. "Please let this be them." He whispered a prayer to Starclan as night turned to day. The sun beginning to rise up behind him and over the hill. Batseeker a complete dark figure that was hard to make out against the rising sun behind him. "Chimerahunt, Swangrace, Tinybreath, Lightningswift, Phoenixriver!" He yelled out unable to pick out any particular family members scent from the strong fresh scent of cats that he smelled. "Where are you..." His voice trailing off as panic and desperation began to set in.
{ After writing this I never realized how Swiftclan is basically the perfect home for Batseeker / Also low key xD if any wants to take this opportinuty to maybe build a plot with the nameless rogue she-cat and possibly give Batseeker children. Only to show up in Swiftclan with his children in toe and led to a very awkward relationship between the two, because she decides to stay in Swiftclan. Please hit me up if your interested in that because I have an idea for a litter theme! }
{ Totally forgot that he wouldn't know that his brother became leader so OOPS!
This might be one of the last times she ever got to see this territory again. Dawn's light glimmered on the waves, blanketing the rivers in a fiery orange as Sliprabbit trotted silently through the territory. It was unusual to see the happy-go-lucky she-cat so solemn, but there was good reason for it. Her uncle Chimerastar had made the announcement the night before; there just wasn't enough food in Waterclan's old territory to feed their growing numbers. They would have to leave. For most of Swiftclan's new warriors this had been an inevitability, but for the small few who had been formerly Waterclan, it meant saying goodbye to their homeland possibly forever. Sliprabbit herself had some mixed emotions about Waterclan; the floodwaters had destroyed it when she was a young apprentice, and the moons before that had been filled with sickness and infighting. But regardless, this was her home, and she felt some trepidation about leaving it behind. It meant admitting the clan she grew up in was really gone.
Suddenly, her ears picked up. Far off in the distance, there was a voice calling out into the wind. Her muscles tensing in apprehension, the warrior carefully followed the sound over the moors, until she could finally hear what the voice was saying. Her blood ran cold. They were calling out her family's names. Immediately throwing caution to the wind, Sliprabbit sprinted after the voice, until she was finally face-to-face with a dark tomcat who looked nearly identical to her uncle Ladon...aside from his sunset orange eyes who reminded her of someone else entirely. Though he seemed more surprised to see her than she was to see him, and for good reason: her fluffy silver fur billowing behind her like a cloud, matched with those clover-green eyes that sparkled with hope...the splitting image of Swangrace in all that his sister was.
After a moment of silence, aside from the she-cat catching her breath, Sliprabbit finally found the words to speak. "You...You said my mother's name, my grandmother's name...you're my kin, aren't you?"
