Mistyrose walked from her home in SunClan and into MoonClan, uncertain and uncaring if her presence was a welcome one. It had been a moon in a half since she had given birth to her sixth litter and by this time she had weaned them off into eating solid foods. A shorter time span than what most queens would do for their kits, but Mistyrose was always adamant about her kits learning independence early and fast. She was a WinterClan cat and as such had a colder disposition. For years she had been WinterClan's medicine cat, well known by many of the clans for her murderess history of killing her entire family with her twin sister and having otherworldly powers from the ancients. Now she was retired in SunClan, an odd decision given her cynical views on religion and logical perspective on life, but it looked like she was still free minded as she agreed to help Yuki heal.
Having grown up following the warrior code in the early days of WinterClan Mistyrose still believed that every clan deserved a skilled medicine cat regardless of clan politics. However entering MoonClan she stuck out like a sore paw with her SunClan sent and half blue grey half golden body. No one in MoonClan looked anything like her or smelled like her for that matter.

{ { can I jump in? } }
The moon was a silent watcher as Cinderwraith loped through the territory, enjoying the feel of the wind on her pelt. She had already completed her nightly tasks, and her apprentice Snowpaw was off working on his own for the time being. This meant that, for the first time in a long time, she had time to herself. She cast a long glance up at the Moon, uttering a silent prayer to the Goddess as she roamed. She hadn't expected anything to happen on her run - had even hoped it would be a time for peaceful reflection - but it seemed Selene had different plans for her.
"Who are you?" Her hackles were raised and teeth bared, not angry so much as defensive. She had come across a strange scent trail, identifiable as SunClan but with a tinge of something else. Knowing it might be a strikeforce, she didn't think she had time to send back to camp for help and instead set off on her own. What she found confused her. "What purpose do you have on the Holy land of the Moon?"
"I am Mistyrose, I'm here to train your medicine cat until she is ready to perform on her own," Mistyrose said, her voice monotone, devoid of any emotion. She seemed to stare right through Cinderwraith's anatomy, like she were talking to the air. For a while her blue gaze seemed to just stare before she simply continued on walking towards MoonClan's camp, following wherever the clans scent became stronger. She had a peculiar carefree attitude, fully aware of every danger and punishment that could land her way for this, but holding no self preservation or care for what followed. Her eyes didn't look dead, but they definitely didn't look lively, they glassy and doll like.

Cinderwraith believed that every cat was sacred, even if they didn't follow the ways of Selene, and was loathe to spill blood when she could accomplish the same with words. Still, the expression on the intruder's face made it clear that conversation wouldn't work well with her. She moved in front of Mistyrose to stop her, reaching out a paw to hold her in place if she tried to go around. "You say you mean no ill will - that you come to aid our healer, yes?" She blinked, trying to understand how a cat's eyes could be so static. "I will convey your message to Medium Yuki on your behalf, but you must remain here until I return."
Her gaze was serious, but there was no hostility in it. "You have to stay here," she repeated, wanting to make sure the message was received. "You'll be attacked if you enter the camp without following the proper channels. I don't want that, and if you come with the intentions you claim, I don't think you want that either. So please."
"You say you mean no ill will - that you come to aid our healer, yes?"
"I never said I didn't mean any ill will," Mistyrose said lowering the she-cats paw, but she did listen to her. None of Cinderwraith's words seemed to hit, there was no normal body language as the warrior spoke. There was no nod of Misty's head, a twitch of the ear, any indication that she had remotely heard her, but when she was finished Mistyrose seemed to intentionally pause before speaking, "Alright, go and fetch Yuki and tell her she's late. I'm going to go find something living to injure so she has something organic to work with." She stated, her voice just as emotionless as it had before before walking away in the opposite direction of camp.
"You, um." Cinderwraith was at a loss for words. She had never, in all of her days, ever met a cat like this. It was incredibly disconcerting and made her skin crawl. "Please don't injure anything if you aren't planning on killing it swiftly to eat-" Then she caught herself and realized Mistyrose had said she could find something, meaning on their territory and she added, "-actually, just don't move. Anywhere, please. You can't, uh, hunt here. It's against the Moon's code to share prey with outsiders without her blessing and..." She trailed off, still getting that glassy stare, and shivered. "I'll be right back."
Without a backwards glance she sailed through the pine forest, paws barely touching the ground. She would look back and say the Moon gave her wings to fly that day, so scared and confused was she. "Yuki!" she called, panting as she tried to suck air into her heaving lungs, "Yuki, there's a freaky cat here to see you! She says her name is Mistyrose? She wants to kill something - no, hurt something so you can heal it?!"

The Medium met the frantic warrior right by the camp's entrance, with blue eyes calm as if she had expected her. "Calm yourself, Cinderwraith." Yuki was already making her way out to meet with Mistyrose, a mess of different herbs she carried in a woven satchel around her shoulders. A little trick she learned in Summerclan. While definitely more human than her mentor, she had picked up on one thing and that was staring through someone like they weren't even there. Yuki smiled a smile that never quite reached her eyes, "Yes, she's a legendary healer, you know. Among other things." Course, Yuki had chosen to ignore the less desirable traits of her new mentor. "I never had a chance to learn much so Misty has been tutoring me." She explained it like it was obvious; like she didn't invite a Sunclan cat into their midst. It was bad, but it was better than not being prepared.

Cinderwraith could be forgiven for not following the Medium's orders and calming herself. After all, there was a cat bearing SunClan scent, with plans to harm prey without the intent of eating it, and Yuki was planning on going along with it? "You realize you could ask any other healer in any of the other clans?" she asked, more than a hint of judgement in her voice. "SunClan healing is likely poisoned, designed to keep a cat alive long enough to believe themselves healed before falling dead? It's cursed, and- and-" She tried to find the words, her soul revolting at the idea of a Moon-blessed cat turning to one of the Sun for instruction. "It's a slight to Selene herself!" Despite this, she fell into step next to Yuki, determined, at least, to be present to ensure nothing untoward happened while the SunClan cat was on their territory.
Mistyrose placed a rock over the injured mouses tail, not many cats knew it, not anyone who followed the warrior code. But all animals screamed, even mice, this to her was the true reason why in the warrior code it told cats to give all animals a swift kill. In order for warriors to not feel bad about their gruesome acts, but to her she felt nothing, even leaving the poor mouse suffering from a broken tail. Her head lifted up to Yuki, "Your warrior made you late. Your patience been suffering for we'll say an estimated 14 minutes now. The tails broken and Cheesewhiskers needs your help. Have you ever fixed a tail before?" She asked, getting straight into it all the while ignoring Cinderwraith.

Yuki just started towards the meeting point, unable to even consider stopping to have a conversation with Cinderwraith. It wasn't like she was wrong, and as much as her pace sped up to not have to answer to those questions, she knew the warrior could keep up easily. "It's not Sunclan healing, it's Winterclan..." The white Medium started than stopped, glancing down at her large satchel before turning back to the path, "No, it's Mistyrose's healing." She corrected, now feeling her words begin to rush out like a river as she tried to justify her actions. "She's a neutral party, the best kind of healer to help me learn right now. If I asked anyone else, there was a possibility they would tell their leader about Moonclan's state. I won't be the downfall again." Her words were more to herself at this point than Cinderwraith, the pair rapidly approaching the meetup spot. For as odd as it was, Yuki had decided to trust in Misty's indifference. Not caring enough to tell Littlestar. That's what she--
It's a slight to Selene herself!
Yuki came to a stop, only a few yards away from Misty. But she couldn't move, not after that. A chill ran up her spine, and her neck cracked as she turned to look back at Cinderwraith, eyes as hard and cold as ice. A barbaric look that hardly fit the princess-like Medium. A slight to Selene? No way. Not when Selene led her up to the Moon Creek to meet Misty in the first place. Not when this was all for her clan's sake. Not when she loved her so much. "How dare you." Voice barely above a whisper, the scream of the mouse brought her back to reality and she ran for the meetup spot.
"I apologize." Yuki said, slipping the satchel off in one motion before beginning to dig around in it. "No, but I believe the patient needs to be calmed down before anything else, right?" Clearly still frantic, she pulled thyme leaves and poppy seeds out from the satchel with surprising precision.
"Try not to apologize. I find pleasantries on the job a waste of time. I also find insults while on the job a waste of time, I'm all business when working on a patient unless attitude somehow helps," Mistyrose explained before nodding to Yuki, "Great, hopefully you remember how the dosage matters depending upon the size and don't over do it. Now before you do anything how do you think you fix a broken tail?"

Yuki opened her mouth again but shut it, choosing instead to nod. "Understood." Her voice held the same sharpness, a little colder than usual. She needed to get Cinderwraith's words out of her mind. Blue eyes swept between the torn-off tail and the stump that remained on the mouse as her paws slowed somewhat. Now a poppy seed rolled under one of her claws as she thought out loud. "If the tissue in the tail is still alive, there's a chance we can tie the end back where it was. Long as blood flow is unrestricted, there's a chance the tail will reattach itself." The words didn't sound right, natural. They were the kind Misty would have used. Not feeling quite right on the Medium's tongue.
"Perfect, the only problem is that Cheesewhiskers is no longer the only patient. SunClan warriors have stormed in and there's an active battle going on around you. One of them attacked an apprentice Squeakpaw," Mistyrose pulled out another mouse who had a bad gash, it's chest was heaving slowly, "The apprentice has been like this for a few minutes and it took a warrior a while to get him to you. Who do you tend to?"
Really, there were bigger questions at hand. Like how did Mistyrose attack two mice in this amount of time? Did she come up with these backstories ahead of time or were they being made up in the moment?

Okay, not good. There was always gonna be a twist with Mistyrose. It kept Yuki on her paws, hopefully made the training more effective. Course, it also caused her a lot of needless stress. Evident by the pale expression as she looked between Cheesewhiskers and Squeakpaw.
Cheesewhiskers had been hurt a lot longer, but the wound wasn't as big as Squeakpaw's. And when did she start using their names? No matter. "I give Cheesewhiskers the appropriate dosage of pain killers." Her claws traced out some, barely enough to be considered a dose for a kit. But perhaps a good one for a mouse. Gently holding the first mouse, she forced it to slow down and take the concoction. But as soon as she was sure it had eaten at least some, she let him go to focus on the other. "And then work on Squeakpaw while the killers go to work. Provided they were brought to me at the exact same time, I would immediately work on Squeakpaw first."
