Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
"AH!" Arcticpaw cried out, although the cry was so generic it was hard to tell if realistically she was that startled or she had just listened to so many over dramatized stories that was all she had to go off of. "You scared me Discordantpaw. This place is scary like the stories." She straightened up as Discordantpaw began to talk and turned to look at the tom she had a crush on. She looked at him for a moment listening to Discordantpaw's instruction and then in a rare moment turned back to the apprentice, "Why would you like him?" Usually she never talked back, but in states of genuine confusion like this she would. What was so appealing about a person that she hadn't even talked to? Did Discordantpaw already know the tom and that was why?
Jetpaw walked over and Arcticpaw immediately smiled at her sisters presence. Her smile was always so soft, genuine, but almost always felt far away and lost in some sort of fanciful whimsy. Each of Arcticpaw's sisters were different, but Jetpaw was her cool sister. She didn't take no for an answer like Gracefulwinds who tamed a griffin in the story of The Violet Flower. And Jetpaw shared the same razor janus built symmetry of their father, which appealed to her, like Jetpaw was destined to be strong. She also said cool things like she did just now, "then go find out his name yourself." Arcticpaw could say the same thing, but it wouldn't have the same sassy flare that Jetpaw put into it.
"Places to go, people to see," Arcticpaw said, wanting to come off with the same sass, but instead came off matter of fact.
Lilacpaw's tail fluffed up at Jetpaw's appearance and quickly intervened, "Hey, how about instead those people we see is that cadet guy over there. Cause he seems lonely and we already know each other so it would be boring if we don't try and meet new people!" She said, increasing the highness of her voice up a notch and smiling more. Jetpaw didn't know her too well so if she kept up the stereotypical obediently happy DayClan act she would probably go along with it.
Gingersnap didn't seem to mind Creek-chan's interruption and instead nodded along enthusiastically, "It's very true! You're very open minded so it's easy to change your mind from your polluted thoughts like StarClan or believing that your place is in DayClan. We really like easily obedient people in SunClan, I always try to stay very agreeable and always smiling so I don't slip up and dishonor my entire family. Your family left in a disgraceful way from SunClan, but I think you could bring back a lot of honor to your very name if you came to SunClan by leaving them behind. You're an apprentice now so you wouldn't have to go through initiation," She said, further trying to tempt Buttercuppaw.

SUNCLAN - Faith , Jadie Jetpaw didn't miss a beat "Suit yourself, got talk to him if that is what you want to do. However, me and my sister have other plans" Jetpaw kept her voice flat, and matter of fact. Giving little room for the other cats to argue. What ever they were trying to sell, she wanted no part of it. she rose to her feet tilting her head indicating that Articpaw should follow, knowing how much her sister hated others to initiate physical contact "We will leave the comforting of the little lonely cadet to you. We are the High Priestess' daughters, we have better things to do"
Buttercuppaw was getting dizzy. Speaking to two different cats was challenging. Especially when they attempted to ask questions or speak over each other. She turned her head back to Creek-chan, her bright turquoise eyes penetrating his. "What you say is true about everyone changin' but you are wrong to think I am quick to yield. If I must, I will stand my ground. Though, Gingersnap hasn't shown me any reason to be defensive. She stated an opinion that was rightfully her decision to say." Oh my gosh, she was beginning to sound much like her mother. She winced slightly at her words, knowing darn right they were the words her mother would have chosen to say in this kind of situation. As long as someone didn't outwardly insult her clan or family, her mother was quite a wise cat. However, Gingersnap's words were beginning to fester as she turned her attention back to the Sunclan Janus. "I'm sorry, Gingersnap. The quickest way for me to lose honor would be to give in and join Sunclan. I may be open minded but I know my place and where my loyalty lies and it isn't with Sunclan."
Smokepaw had been sitting alone, feeling more awkward than he had ever felt before. He was extremely unsettled by the environment. Not only was he cripplingly shy and fearful in general, but now he was surrounded by multiple clans. It wasn't worth it for him to be here. He couldn't believe that he hadn't been able to stay back in the camp where it was safe. Sure, nobody would talk to him there, but at least he wouldn't be surrounded by new and dangerous cats. The apprentice shot a look over at his sister, but he knew better than to try talking to her at this point. She would just scoff at him anyway.
He listened as she told him to go find someone to talk to and then watched as she stalked off, presumably to find some other cats besides him. Smokepaw sighed in defeat. This sucked.
Sootpaw had been sitting near her pathetic brother as he hunched over, obviously tense in the environment. She wasn't afraid of other cats, but the familial instinct in her had been keeping her by her brother's side. At this point, she couldn't handle his scaredy-cat self any longer. The black she-cat huffed and leaned over to him, meowing, "Smokepaw, just go talk to someone. You're embarrassing yourself."
Without listening to his words, she walked off to talk with the first cat she could find to take her mind off of her brother.
"Oh," Was all Arcticpaw replied to Jetpaw with as she followed. She didn't realize until this moment that they were special for being the priestess's daughter. But she did easily follow after Jetpaw. Lilacpaw faced palmed herself trying to think of what to do, Littlestar seemed like a good bet. She could call Jetpaw out for hogging her sister to herself and she would be allowed to play with her again. But then she would also call Littlestar's attention onto herself and if Arcticpaw got her she would probably die so that was a no go. So instead she looked back to Discordantpaw for ideas.
"Oh, okay!" Gingersnap said cheerfully, "I really love it when you stick to your beliefs like that, I think that's what makes you such a strong candidate for SunClan. Unfortunately that's also why you'll never join, but it's okay, I'm happy just to be able to meet you. Maybe if I'm free from studying, chores, work, and social activities I can stop by DayClan and talk to you again."
Gingersnap immediately sprang up when she spotted Sootpaw, "Hiiii," She greeted excitedly, but then all at once she caught sight of Smokepaw in the background. His broody figure, dark shadow night fur bursting with blizzard white patches of fur. He was so. HANDSOME. Her eyes lit up in almost a trance, he was a cute boy. Instead of greeting Sootpaw she shoved her brutally and unnecesairly to the side and sat down right next to Smokepaw. "Hey there," She said with a flip of her head as though she had fur in her eyes, "I'm Gingersnap, I'm actually more like six moons old, but I have a warrior name already." Her paw tip toed up to his, "What's your name, sweetheart?" She purred.
As she went to greet the other cat, Sootpaw felt herself get knocked out of the way as the she-cat moved past her. What was that about? Sootpaw's gaze followed the cat all the way to...Smokepaw? The apprentice was stunned.
Smokepaw watched as a she-cat with bright blue eyes came toward him, and his ears went back in alarm. His first confrontation...oh no. But instead of attacking him, she introduced herself. Smokepaw shifted away from her uncomfortably as she moved her paw toward him and stuttered out, "I-I'm uh... Smokepaw?" His name came out as a question - he was so surprised another cat had actually talked to him. Her eyes were so piercing, and he looked away before she thought he was challenging her. Maybe she wouldn't talk to him anymore and he could go home where it was safe. At any moment Gingersnap could turn on him and bite him!
Buttercuppaw was about to agree to seeing Gingersnap again when the Janus's attention was torn away and she darted toward another cat. The ginger apprentice and simply shrugged. She was unsure if Creek still wanted to talk to her.
"Smokepaw huh?" She said, her voice was honey sweet, but the ends of her words were whispery soft sending tingling sensations through his ears and down his spine. She moved in closer, "What a handsome devil of a name," Gingersnap purred before faking a shiver, "Oh, it's so cold in here," She said in her most cutesy tone before gasping as though she just realized he had long fur, "Oh and your fur so soft looking and velvet black as the night. I just wish I could be warm like you." She batted her eyes at him, practically telling him than hinting that he needed to invite her to cuddle into him.
Gingersnap was a short furred flame point siamese, but her fur was more golden and her eyes were so blue and big that there was no doubt some kittypet genetics played a role in her genetic perfection.
Smokepaw looked back at Gingersnap to confirm that - yep - she was still talking to him. And not biting. That was a plus. The black and white tom blinked a couple of times before stuttering out, "May-ma-maybe you should uh ... lay on the ground?" Smokepaw felt like an idiot, so he spoke quicker this time as he tried to explain. "'Causeit'swarmerclosertotheground." He squeezed his tail as close against his paws as he could and moved his vision to the feathers wrapped around it. They certainly were bringing him luck if he hadn't gotten smacked yet, right?
"Name them, then. These important 'things to do, places to see.' I'm dying to know, seeing as I'm the daughter of a High Priestess, too." Discordantpaw said with a sweet tone in her voice but her eyes were like chips of indigo ice. Jetpaw. Her nemesis. They had good times and they had bad times but the other she-cat's heart was a little too white for Discordantpaw's liking. It spoiled a lot of her fun, like right now, "But it's fine if you want to break girl code and leave me on my own here. I'm just so nervous, I don't want to mess this up," She was speaking directly to Arcticpaw now, her voice totally different, pleading, "Lilacpaw and I will figure something out I guess... I just thought you would do a better job of it since you're so much more personable than either of us..."
"Thanks for that riveting discussion, Buttercuppaw. I've got to hand it to you, most cats have tuned me out by now. You're so good-natured and direct, dare I say pure? You've clearly lead a very pampered and privileged life, I'm a little jealous." Creek-chan purred while he watched Gingersnap pick on Sootpaw, "And a good cat like you aught to go save your poor little clanmate. Thanks for the discussion, I'm sure we will meet again."
Gingersnap smiled at him with a dreamy eyed expression. Her paw gently traced against the side of his cheek like she were comforting a small animal, "Wow, I adore a tom who has such a way with words," She purred lovingly, "Where are you from and how can I get you to cozy up into my clan instead?" She leaned up against his chest, he could feel the vibrations from her purrs.
Buttercuppaw gave Creek a small smile, feeling her cheeks blush at his compliments...or what she took as compliments. For a Primal Instinct cat, he was pretty nice. "Thanks..." She murmured, softly, a bit embarrassed. Though, when he mentioned she lived a life of luxury, it almost made her offended but when she looked at the lifestyle he was raised in, it certainly made sense that he would see her life luxurious and pampered. After all, her mother was a bright brigade, an immortal council member, and in the imperial class. Buttercuppaw was a socialite, herself. And also an animal whisperer. She really was given a life of ease. It almost made her feel embarrassed of her life. As if she wanted to know what it was like to live a harsh life. "I'm sure we will." She responded before turning away to meet back up with her sisters.
The tiny cat reached up to brush Smokepaw's cheek with her paw, and the apprentice leaned back in alarm. "I'm - I'm from DayClan," he stuttered, not really understanding what Gingersnap was implying. As she purred against his chest, he tacked on, "And it's... it's the Eve of Peace. So you can't make me go with you." Smokepaw wasn't so sure that was true though. While Gingersnap wasn't big enough to force him to do anything, his clanmates could easily steal him and drag him to SunClan where he would never be heard from again! They would sacrifice him to their Sun God and he would burn. The idea alarmed him, so he decided not to push Gingersnap further in case she got angry. "Unless uh - unless you wanted. I'm sure you could make me. I just mean um .. it's.. peaceful? Tonight."
