@oceanix Cadet Acadia felt the wind in her fur, the sun on her back, the cool brush of grass on her stomach. The meadow stretched endlessly ahead of her, a sea of green and gold, hers for the conquering. Suddenly, her paws stopped working and she fell face-first into the grass, the sudden impact jarring her teeth and drawing blood as the bit her tongue. Fear unlike anything she'd felt before coated her tongue, and though she couldn't see what it was, she knew something huge and terrible was looming above her. She had the most intense urge to protect whatever it was behind her, but she had no control over her legs anymore. As the figure drew near, she let out a high, keening note of fear- "Could you shut up?" An annoyed growl from a nearby cadet drew Cadet Arcadia out of her dream, her flanks heaving in panicked lungfuls of air. It seemed so real! She sat up in her mussed nest and groaned, rubbing her face in her paws. She had been having dreams like this more and more frequently, she wasn't getting any rest. Her partner had growled at her when she messed up during training just yesterday, and she was sure she scared away more prey than she caught over the last moon. Seeing no other choice, she stood up and tried to offer some semblance of organization to her nest before heading towards the Garden. Maybe a Guider there would have some suggestion.
As she padded through the tunnels, she caught a glint of sunlight from a crack in the ceiling, meaning that it must be morning. "Great," she grumbled, speeding up. So she had slept through the night, just not gotten any rest. Thinking her quest for some sleeping drought was useless now, she began to turn her path before deciding to at least pop in and see if the Guiders needed anything.
The Garden always smelled funny to the she-cat who had a taste for wide open spaces and fresh air. It wasn't stale, but it hung heavy with the scent of herbs and sickness. Swallowing a gag, she padded towards the first Guider she saw. "I'm here to see if you need any help from a Scout Cadet," she mewed, hoping they would say no.
So sorry to reply to this is well over a month later
Cadet Kers was fussing over a pile of herbs that had been sorts by another fellow Cadet. Her tail twitched in anger as she stared at the stack. If it had been anyone else they would have glanced at the stack and not given it a second thought, but Cadet Kers was a perfectionist. She only trusts her own abilities and sometimes would go out of her way to recheck piles after another cadet had finished putting them away. She had stared at the stack for a moment trying to figure out why the appearance of the stack frustrated her. She had been distracted when the Scout Cadet entered the Garden. The voice wasn't one that Cadet Kers had heard before, but then again she didn't recognize many of the other Cadets. She turned to face the cat that spoke to her. "I need to go to the surface to check on a plant. Do you have time to help?" She asked.

Cadet Arcadia swallowed a groan when her question was answered in the affirmative, but nodded. It wasn't this she-cat's fault she needed help, after all. "Sure, sounds good. I've helped Guiders collect herbs before - what are you looking for this time? I might be able to help spot them." She wanted to get out of the Garden as soon as she could, the scent too cloying to her, but also didn't want to be rude and just rush out. "I'm Arcadia, by the way. I don't think we've met. What's your name?"

"I wanted to check to see if the blackberry plants are growing yet. I've heard from the other Guiders it is a rather difficult plant to grow down here in the garden. With spring being here the bees will be active leaving more reasons for Scouts and Mercenaries and other cats to get stung when they go up above ground. Blackberry leaves help bee stings." Cadet Kers found herself spilling out information about a plant she wasn't sure if the other Cadet knew. She also forgot to mention the fact that bees frequented blackberry plants. "Um my name is Kers." She answered as she shuffled towards the entrance of the Garden leaving behind the stack of herbs that had her attention moments prior.

Cadet Arcadia listened half-heartedly as Kers rambled on about blackberries, but smiled slightly at the clear excitement the guider cadet had for her trade. "I think I may have seen blackberries before near the old border with WaterClan," she mewed when Kers finished explaining the various nuances of the blackberry. "They're the poky plants with the sweet berries on them, right?" She rarely got injured so her knowledge of herbs was quite limited, though she thought she may have encountered the berries before. She had considered using them to help feed the Regime, but discarded the idea when she realized they were hardly filling.

Cadet Ker's eyes lit up at the possibility of finding blackberry plants. "Yes those are the correct plants!" She felt anxious wanting to zoom out of the tunnels and straight to the plants as quick as she could, but there was only one problem she didn't know how to get there. Being a Guider meant she rarely left the tunnels and only went above ground to search for herbs that they couldn't grow below ground. "Umm do you know how to get to the Waterclan border? It's just I've only been outside of the tunnels a few times." She asked feeling slightly embarrassed about having to ask the question.
