Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Harvestkit and his sister Sweetkit were one moon old now, they were the soothsayers kits, but were being raised by Flawedperspective. The way him and his sister understood it was that Autumngossamer had a big job to do and she couldn't spend all her time caring for them until they were older like their older siblings Siennakit, Amberkit, Scarletkit, and Gingersnap. It was how most of the clan understood it as well, only Littlestar, Autumngossamer's mate Lovesmitten, and Foxbane really knew about it.
Him and his sister had been born in DayClan, but they had been so young growing up there for a week that he was sad he had no memory of it to enjoy except for the miracle feather him and his sister both had. He shook out his fur as waddled out from the nursery for the first time. His eyes growing wide as he stared out into SunClan, everything felt unreal. He had only known the nursery walls and now he was staring at the entire gorge, there was nothing to compare it to in his mind, but he was very high up. Not waiting up for anyone he already made the dangerous move and began to make his way down the gorge path. However his chubby kitten body made the climb down all the more deadly as he had a hard time coordinating himself to walk closer to the wall and not closer to the edge. When he got closer to the bottom of the gorge Harvestkit slipped off the edge, at first his paws hanging onto the edge, before falling off completely. Luckily at this point it wasn't as big of a fall, but he was bruised, not yet having the instinct to fall on his feet.
Harvestkit sniffled a bit at his injury, he hadn't felt pain before and lied tried to get back up, but he had fallen into some shrubbery and was a bit stuck now.
The massive brown tom had been out on a hunting trip, wanting the opportunity to stretch his legs and do something productive. It was a warmer day, however, and his thick fur made the temperature twice as bad. A mouse in his jaws, he intended to bury it when he heard what sounded like struggling nearby. Small struggling. Small enough to be... Dropping the mouse nearby, he instantly fell into a crouch and began stalking toward the noise. This shouldn't take long, nothing would mess with the mouse he'd already caught in this small window of time. Slowly but steadily moving forward, his gentle golden eyes finally peeked through the tall grass to see-
A kit? Without bothering to catch its scent (not that it really mattered, he was so deep in Sunclan territory), Bearbelly rushed forward to help the capsized kit out of hiss current predicament. "Woah, now, little buddy. Let's get you out of here." Gently gripping his teeth around the skin of Harvestkit's scruff, the tom did his best to carefully carry the bundle of fur from the shrubbery. "How'd you get stuck in there, anyhow?" Bearbelly asked, before realizing the kit clearly had taken a tumble and hurt himself. "Ah... Never mind. Forget what I said. Here, stay right there, okay?" The large brown warrior softly said with a smile before disappearing the way he came. After a few moments, he returned, the mouse in his mouth. He intended on giving it to Harvestkit, in the instance he was hungry.
Harvestkit struggled a bit in the bush before being pulled out by Bearbelly, he had never seen this cat before. Up until now he had spent his life in the nursery, but to see another warrior made his autumn colored eyes light up with excitement. He seemed trapped in a state of awe the entire time, but when Bearbelly ran out he shook his pelt out before shaking his back leg for a moment, testing it to ensure he was okay. When he set his leg back down Bearbelly came back with a mouse, he had seen his parents eat mice before and while he had never been personally interested he was excited to try something new. "Thank-you so much!" Harvestkit said, from this point of view Bearbelly could see a miracle feather and small wheat strand braided into the toms fur behind his ear, typical of DayClan cats, but not even close to being normal for SunClan cats.
Harvestkit bent down and chewed at the mouse or was at least trying to. He was ready to start trying to eat solid foods, but his teeth were still dull being one moon old, he wasn't able to strip the food for himself to eat. "I'm Harvestkit, but one of my moms just calls me Harv," He introduced.
Unknown to Harvestkit, Berrykit had followed his every move, slowly creeping behind the tom-kit. They had been born close to the same time, with Harvestkit just a bit older than Berry herself. Curiosity and a desire to make a new friend drove her to stumble out of the den after him, her golden pelt reflecting the sun like a flame. When he fell from the path down from the nursery, she gasped, unable to hide her reaction. No one seemed to spare a glance at the moon-old kitten, though, she so she felt free to run (aka stumble) down the rest of the way to Harvestkit's side.
"Are you okay?" she asked, tottering behind him and Bearbelly. She wasn't sure if she was allowed out of the nursery or not, but surely her mother wouldn't chastise her for helping a clanmate? "Is he hurt?" she turned her gaze on Bearbelly, surprisingly sharp for her very young age. She nosed the tom-kit, as though trying to ascertain for herself. "What if you died?" she asked with a wide-eyed look, applying the concept of mortality she had only recently learned from her mother to the situation.
A low, jovial chuckle rumbled from the large tom's throat. "Aye, little warrior. Listen to your sis. You could have easily gotten hurt!" He nodded in agreement with Berrykit, now crouched to watch the two. His body language was anything but aggressive; it became a little bit curious, watching Harvestkit attempt to eat the mouse. Bearbelly had next to no knowledge on kits, or how to raise them, as he'd never had any of his own. "Well, it's nice to meet you, Harvestkit. Though, I'm sure it could've been under better circumstances, eh?" Continuing to observe Harvestkit, he made no move to help, not really knowing how. "Er, speaking of your mother, where is she? Shouldn't she be here to help... Keep you from falling into bushes? And feed you? You seem a bit hungry..." Or a father, for that matter. Where were any older cats, now that he started to look up and around the immediate area.
"Yeah I think so," Harvestkit said, after all he wasn't crying so he had to be okay, he had nothing to compare it to. His entire life up until this moment was nestled up against his families fur and playing with his littermates and the other kits in the nursery, but mostly it was him Sweetkit, Dawningkit, Truekkit, and Insightfulkit with the occasional visit from his littermates Siennakit, Amberkit, Gingersnap, and Scarletkit. His eyes lit up at the mention of dying, what even was that? That was prey right? Prey was dead so he would be dead like prey if he hadn't been careful. He suddenly felt a little too sick to eat the mouse and moved away from it a bit.
"Well my mama Flawedperspective is still with my four other siblings and then my other mom Autumngossamer is probably doing her job as soothsayer and then my dad Lovesmitten's likely out on a patrol right now, but mamas in charge of watching me right now. She's really busy though with the my other siblings," He explained. Harvestkit didn't really think of his situation as weird yet. Recently Autumngossamer had openly told her clanmates that she had postpartum depression and needed some extra help caring for her two kits. After all she was was also raising an adopted litter of older kits on top of doing her work as soothsayer, it was a lot to handle.
"Do you have any siblings Berrykit?" Harvestkit asked, never really paying attention before who was related to who.

Berrykit gave Bearbelly a sideways look before replying to Harvestkit. "Of course!" she said, the 'duh' unspoken, "I have Poppykit, Hollykit, Rowankit, Earthkit, and Mousekit! And Mama, of course." She giggled a little, though she was proud of her family. "My Mama's the best, after all." She glanced back at the nursery, suddenly feeling so very far away from her home and nest. Though she was only at the bottom of the ravine, it felt like leagues and leagues away. "What about you, Bearbelly? Do you have a Mama and siblings?" The she-cat looked up at the massive tom, eyes wide.
