Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Kawamura had thought he was going to get the afternoon off, especially since Takeshi was out of office. However, this hadn't been the case, as Avette had told him that it was time to interact with another one of the students. He was one of the oldest students in the group; it made sense that the Archbishop wanted him to spend some time with some of the others. Avette had called it "peer learning" or something. He wasn't exactly fond of the idea. He was a quiet cat, at least outside of battle, and he wasn't so sure how this would go.
"Aquapaw?" he asked, poking his awkward head into the Student's den. "I guess we are going on a ... trip? Training? I"m not exactly sure, details are fuzzy...."
[ mfw haven't even posted aqua's bio on the joining thread SORRY STARK HE'S COMING SOON I PROMISE ]
Aquamarine blinked at the sound of his name being called, and cocked his head at the older student. "Sure," he said, rising to his paws and padding across the den to meet Kawamura. The other tom had never really interacted much with him before, so the order must've come from above. "Whatever you need to keep Avette happy," he added with an easy smile.
He shifted his weight awkwardly in affirmation of what the tom had said. "Out of all of the cats to keep happy, she feels like she's at the top of the list." He laughed, but it was a nervous sort of laugh. He then coughed as they left the den, heading out into the territory. "So... how long have you been in MoonClan?" Kawamura asked as they walked. The huge tom had never quite mastered small talk, or really any talk that wasn't battle related, and that much appeared clear.
Alarm bells began to ring in Aquamarine’s head. This was topic numero uno that he didn’t want to talk about, and Kawamura had managed to make it the subject of their first proper conversation. “Oh, about a moon,” he replied, with a small shrug. “Long enough to be adjusted to the sleep schedule, anyway. What about you? Where you born here?” Ah yes, deflection. The only real friend I’ll ever need.
It felt incredibly on-brand that Kawamura had said something that made the tom uncomfortable upon their first interaction. That was why often times, he’d rather go at things alone. But, he’d been told he had to do this, so all he could do was awkwardly look at his paws. When he spoke about the sleep schedule, the tom let out a laugh. Kawamura, it seemed, didn’t even notice the deflection. “Yeah, well, good for you for adjusting so soon,” he flicked his tail, “it took me far longer than I’ll ever admit to really get adjusted. Just don’t tell Ryoma.” He smiled, before realizing that he had said three sentences consecutively. Interesting. “I came with Takeshi and the others.” He still wasn’t entirely sure how that had come into fruition, but he didn’t bother asking many questions.
“Oh, cool.” Aquamarine....hadn’t actually said a word to Takeshi and the others, and he didn’t think he’d be able to name said others if the moon goddess herself dangled Kawamura over a pit of flaming badgers. “...I mean, I think that’s cool,” he added, just to cover his bases. “Where did you guys live before MoonClan?”
He shrugged quietly, his gaze focusing on the path in front of them for a moment. His tail twitched as they walked, and it wasn't until they got to the training hallow that the tom actually answered the question. "We've been several places. Well, the other's have. This is only my second different home with the gang." He was one of the newer members, after all. "We're here," he announced, although it was clear they were there and he didn't need to. His whiskers twitched as he continued. "I'm not sure exactly what we're supposed to do... but should we.... uh... practice?"
