Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
I'm not new to this site, actually. I was poking around Chicken Smoothie, because my friend introduced me to it, and the RP forums reminded me of this place. I used to be super into this site when I was younger! Now I'm actually a junior in college. I'm studying 3D Animation, as it's my life goal and passion to work on games and films as a character animator. I particularly want to be relied on as a creature animator, but I just like animating in general, so I won't complain with whatever I'm given! And, because I'm focusing on 3D animation doesn't mean I turn my nose up at 2D. I love and respect both, as both take a lot of time and effort to master! Honestly, I just like art in general. Whenever I get the time, I'll draw for fun. I used to do it a lot more, but now that I'm busy with homework, it gets difficult to find time to draw. Half the time, I'll be too tired and I just want to relax, eat, and go to bed, haha.
Anyway, a little more about me... I really love animals and wildlife. Like, a lot. I wanted to be a zoologist before realizing animation was the route to go, so I spent time studying animals. Reading about them, talking about them, learning about them in whatever way I could. I'm not as well-versed on insects and fish, but I still do take the time to learn if someone or something is explaining. I'm also a huge dog fan. Sometime later in life I wouldn't mind becoming a dog behaviorist on the side. Not for money or anything, I just want to help dogs with behavior issues, or maybe teach puppy training classes. I worked at a no-kill shelter for Great Pyrenees for a while, and I 100% believe in no-contact training, as well as rehabilitation for "problem dogs." Because all dogs deserve forever homes!
I play video games, too. When I can. Some consistent favorites are Overwatch, The Binding of Isaac, Minecraft, and Red Dead Redemption II. I'm a massive fan of horror games, as well as FromSoftware titles. They're the source of my inspiration for creature animation, actually. I'm also in the middle of Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Honestly, if you want to talk games, there's a really good chance I'll either have played what you're talking about at one point, or I know of it. The game industry is a pretty big place for animators, so I spend time keeping up with what's going on in it.
So, if you ever want to talk animation, animals, or games, I would love to! Or, if you want to RP, you can ask about that too, heh. I've been roleplaying for almost eight or nine years now, so I'm always game for a new story.
P.S. And by the way, my favorite animated movies are The Lion King (original, not the remade garbage), and the Kung Fu Panda trilogy.

i love horror games too! silent hill is one of my fave franchises or at least the first four games are, i will defend silent hill 4 with my LIFE. i also like the binding of isaac but i'm unbelievably bad at it and have never actually been able to finish a run, so wish me luck now that you've reminded me to play it again xD

That's really cool! I always love meeting game design majors, everything from the technical side to level design is awesome. I just can't do it, lol. Can I ask about any projects? If you have to keep quiet about those, I understand, I've been in the same boat. Also, where do you think you want to work after graduation?

Also Silent Hill is amazing. I never got the chance to get into them myself, but man oh man, the original Silent Hill team absolutely nailed how to make a horror game. Like, a truly horrifying experience. I think my favorites are probably stuff by Bloober Team (still wanna play Blair Witch), stuff by Red Barrels, and The Evil Within.

Yeah sure! I've done 12 games in my two in a half years of game designing, but one of the biggest team projects I did was where the entire class worked together to make a game based off of the series The Office HERE
I'm really open to anything for my first job, but I do love the idea of working for Disney someday! Honestly there's so many cool places to work at though. What about you, do you have any favorite companies?

animation is really cool!! I know a couple of people who are in college for it, but I just stick with drawing and occasionally writing oops. I'm also playing new horizons, if you wanted people to play with we have a group on Skype for it! I have to say that my favorite video game series is Dragon Age. I do not do well with horror at all, so more power to you!
