Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
So in order to help our members get more involved with training threads, the staff thought it would be fun to a create a thread for all of the new mentor/apprentice pairs with a mission to break up the monotony of traditional training threads. You may still create a traditional training thread in addition to this one if you so desire. This is not required for promotion, but I do encourage you to have fun and use this thread as a basis to build a strong mentor/apprentice relationship between your characters.
Your Mission: With a new baby bird slowly growing under Articpaw's care, it is important that they little bird is properly cared for. As such, Articpaw and Littlestar set out on a mission to collect seeds and other things to feed Articpaw's little friend Faith

"Come on Articpaw" purred Littlestar as she waited on her daughter to pick out a basket to place the seeds for Eggwing into. He daughter had taken a liking to a little baby crow, a trait that seemed to run in her family. She could still remember when Lionpride had cared for a baby mouse in secret. This time she wasn't in a rush for her to grow up, she would let her daughter take her time and learn at her own pace. She was behind her siblings in a lot of areas, but she was also rather in-genius in others. She was an enigma, and she hadn't quiet been able to entrust anyone else to mentor her.
Arcticpaw walked over to her mothers side carrying a basket in her jaws, it were items like these that she discovered only in SunClan. During her times in DayClan she could tell they didn't have these items such as baskets, cages, or paints. It worried her sometimes that they weren't sharing, sharing was an important rule when she was a kit so it only made sense that the adult cats would share with their friends in DayClan. But she noticed many of the adults felt that DayClan was lesser because they didn't worship the Sun God so maybe they had tried to share, but DayClan was being difficult. It was hard to sort these things out, there was a lot of history she still didn't understand. "Why are we nice to DayClan?" Arcticpaw asked her mom, which was clearly out of the blue, but with her long line of thinking it was only the next natural thing to ask after selecting a basket.
Even though she had just asked a question she was already peeking over blades of grass and turning over stones looking for food for Eggwing.

"Well dear..." she trailed off thinking about how to answer her question in a way that her daughter could understand while still being honest "DayClan and SunClan have been friends for a long time, even before I became the High Priestess. But recently we have become closer because myself and Glowstar are friends"
"Sometimes I wonder if Lilacpaw is really my friend. I hear her call me weird a lot, but never too my face. I think that's nice," Arcticpaw said picking up the last remaining seeds she had found before scouting out for more, "Who are your friends?"

Littlestar tilted her head slightly, she would have to have a talk with Strik later on about this Lilacpaw. "Well there is Jetclaw, Glowstar, and Mistyrose. But as The High Priestess, I consider most of the cats in SunClan to be my friend" a purr rumbled in her throat as she talked about them.
"That's too many friends," Arcticpaw said, more as a fact than any sort of criticism. Although she was beginning to have a lot of friends, like Buttercuppaw and some of the SunClan kits talked to her too. But Discordantpaw felt off, she seemed to talk to her and say nice things, but something about her felt aggressive. Almost passively. If only there was a word to describe it.
Arcticpaw lifted up her basket in her jaw to show that she was done collecting seeds. She was going to miss Eggwing when he would have to go and find his own clan. She hoped that he grew up fast, she was afraid if he was fully grown and tried to join a flock that he would have to initiate.
