Beastpaw didn't feel like himself today. That much would be clear to any cat who saw him. The tom was sitting close to the entrance of camp, gently swaying back and forth, with his eyes trained carefully on the entrance. "Here he comes," he mumbled softly, tail swaying with the rhythm of his body. But it was only Cardinalcastle who entered. The other tom gave him a curious look but Beastpaw didn't pay attention. He stood, circled, and sat again. "Here he comes," he muttered again, in the same voice.
"What are you doing Beastpaw?" Pumpkinking inquired after observing the young tom for a few minutes, the proud ginger tom tilting his head. "It is a glorious day today, why circle about in camp when you could be running through the blooming fields of our territory?" The tom said lifting his head ears pricking forwards at the thought of running through the flourishing land.
SpringClan's lands were always flourishing, as if eternally wrapped in New leaf. But with actual New leaf upon them, it was like the lands had been revitalized and were quite lovely.

Beastpaw didn't respond, instead he circled and said, "here he comes, here he comes." The tom knew he was being addressed and tried to see who it was, but his own clanmates looked like strangers to him and he shook his head as though chasing away a bothersome fly and instead circled again, eyes on the entrance.
Cardinalcastle returned and stopped beside Pumpkinking, "he hasn't been normal since his best friend disappeared, he seems to think he'll come back. But... he hasn't for sometime. I think some fresh air really might do him good. Try... try telling him you guys can look for his friend?"
