Hello everyone~! Swiftclan's been established for a good while now, so it's time for the clan to have their first ever Medicine Cat Apprentice! Of course, their mentor is going to be Firetooth, so Starclan help your poor cat. lol If you're willing to take that risk though, feel free to fill out the form below:
Cat Name: Mistralkit (ready to be promoted to apprentice!)
Cat Bio: What does a cat that ate the canary exactly look like? Perhaps, something akin to Mistralstrike. The corner of her mouth is perpetually turned up in a half-smile, her eyes always have a glint of mischief, her tail flicking just too much. Mistralstrike is, much like her name, a storm that blows in and brings with it much chaos, but also much beauty. Named for the cold leaf-bare storms like the one she had been found in, the she-cat is not frigid like one much assume but instead coy and reserved, always observing but rarely interacting. This attitude lends itself to her perception as an arrogant or rude she-cat, but that is not the case. She simply prefers to watch and wait for the perfect opportunity to pounce. Her siblings were found alongside her in SwiftClan's leaf-bare territory by Heathersong, a she-cat she adopted as her mother. Her siblings, Flurryshake, Tempestsky, Galestep, and Vortexsong are all her dearest friends no matter what kind of scuffles or arguments they get into. She knows, that if push comes to shove, they will have each other's back. She has never known anything but SwiftClan, one of the few cats that can boast such a claim, but because of this she has a creeping sense of curiosity about what the rest of the world might be like. She hears that other clans do things entirely differently like learn how to fight or dig - dig! What kind of cat needs to dig? Her curiosity is one of the few things that can force her to shed her mien of dispassionate observation, though it often leads to her leaping head-first into trouble, heedless of the consequences.
Why?: SwiftClan was the first clan I joined when I came back to the site because it's so unique and quirky, for lack of a better word. There are so many stand-out personalities in the members and it always seems like there's some funky plot going on. Mistralkit is a passion project for me because I'm not normally one to play a cat with her personality, but I think it was meant to be when I looked at Firetooth's bio. They'll fight like two cats in a sack, but I have high hopes that eventually they'll become close friends.
SwiftClan Activity: I'll be honest; I just came back, so it's like a 1/10. But I'm in the process of making threads and re-plotting with people so anticipate that going up!
Overall Activity: Definitely a solid 8/10. I don't roleplay much, but that's cause I can't seem to get any threads to take off. Still, I'm on the site constantly, refreshing on the off-chance someone replies.
Firetooth?: Like I said above, I think Mistralkit will have her work cut out for her with Firetooth. She's very standoffish and aloof, but it's only a way to hide her kittish curiosity and love of learning. She'll probably try to act too cool for school with him, but then slowly be unable to hide her excitement and curiosity about everything they do. Hopefully it'll be a Pixie and Brutus situation but i'm open to plotting too!
A name, a face, a moment in time. All memories that the soul clings. In his young life Delusionallove has experience love, loss, betrayal and the destruction of his birth clan. He was born to the Earthclan Leader Muddystar and a Brookclan warrior name Crescentwing. He was first born in his litter and the eldest of nine siblings. Being the eldest and largest of his littermates we always viewed himself as their protector. As a kitten he had a dream of becoming a strong hardworking warrior like his father Muddystar. Rise through the ranks and follow in his father's paws steps and become leader of Earthclan. But as a young kitten his dreams were crushed and ripped away from his paws by experiencing great loss in his family. He wasn't able to be the protector that wanted to be. He watched as six of his brothers and sisters were ripped away from his father's den and executed by the rebels that sought for the removal of Muddystar from the Earthclan leadership. His once large bustling family had dwindled to only him, his brother Oblivionlogic, and his father Muddypelt. Due to the tragic loss at a young age he became over protective of his little brother. Leading to many sleepless nights during his kithood and apprenticeship when Oblivionlogic was confined to the medicine cat den due to chronic illness. This forced Delusionallove to grow up fast and become an adult quicker that he would have liked. He was to be the emotional support for his grieving father and his sick brother. It wasn't until he saw the destruction of Earthclan and saving his brother Oblivionlogic from the flood waters. That Delusionallove finally gave up his dream to be like his father Muddystar, but rather to try and pursue the dream of healing and nurturing. To protect families from loss and to find a cure for his brother Oblivionlogic.
Despite all of the loss in his life and the destruction of Earthclan. Delusionallove has been able to keep his gentle giant and somewhat friendly personality. He is soft spoken and tends to not speak unless he has to. He generally avoids social interactions. Because of his avoidance of social interactions he tends to be awkward when it comes to carrying on a conversation with someone he doesn't know. He's also a very private cat that doesn't like to share or discuss his personal life or past. Despite being awkward he can be stubborn when it comes to authority. He also tends to be impulsive and doesn't think his action before doing them. This can get him into trouble when he runs into the thick of battle to protect a clanmate. Behind his impulsive, stubborn, awkward persona lies a great deal of self-loathing towards the events that happened in his past. Along with this over the few seasons he has been alive he has developed some self-esteem issues regarding his intimidating appearance as he grew older. He is self aware that he has a tall imposing figure combined broad shoulders and messy long black fur with very few white markings to break up the darkness. As well as dark olive green eyes that can sometimes come off as uninterested or emotionless. He knows how his appearance can make cats that are younger, smaller, or complete strangers to him intimidated or uncomfortable. So he tends to get down on the cat's level when speaking with them.
WHY DO YOU WANT TO BE SWIFTCLAN'S MCA?: Honestly there are multiple reasons why I would love to be Swiftclan's MCA. For one I love the overall vibe of the clan. While I understand all clans on Classic are unique. There is just something about Swiftclan that draws me in and its different in all the best ways. I absolutely LOVE! that they believe in the Warrior Code and Starclan. That is an element I seriously crave to interact with and develop characters that believe and follow both of these. This clan also gives me nostalgia when I used to rp in traditional clans many years ago and I really miss that. I also feel like this is an element that isn't really seen very much on Classic much anymore which is why Swiftclan is very special to me. This clan also has its little amazing quirks that set it apart from clans in the book or other traditional clans. For example the communication system is genius! I don't think/remember any clans on classic or any other site for that matter that use a communication system like the one developed for Swiftclan. Also I love the little nomadic style set up of Swiftclan. Its so unique that they don't have a set camp and are constantly moving around. I think this also makes the Medical positions for Swiftclan more interesting. After reading the information on the medicine cats of Swiftclan. I find it really cool that the Swiftclan medicine cats are constantly learning the locations of herbs and have to be basically quick on their toes. I love this added challenge to this position because I think it adds for more character development and plots. Also Delusionallove is a character I'm really passionate about, and its a character that I've well dreamed of having a medical position since he was created. I've also have a lot of plots developed for him since the old site that could also help bring activity and maybe new people to Swiftclan.
SWIFTCLAN ACTIVITY (1 - 10): It would definitely be a big solid 1. So far Batseeker is the only one I have in Swiftclan and I just added him back. I'm currently not sure what to do with him so my activity for Swiftclan has hit a wall. Still trying to find people to plot with him. My activity should go up though because I was also thinking about adding a new fresh character to Swiftclan with maybe his sisters? So that should generate some activity. I also wanted to add Delusionallove and possibly adopt out his brother Oblivion and sister Kindlekit to get those plots rolling because they never happened in Earthclan. I also personal love these three siblings and I think they would work well in Swiftclan.
OVERALL ACTIVITY (1 - 10): Well I just rejoined so its not great. But let me tell you with college now being online and me currently being unemployed. Me sitting at home doing absolutely nothing. I'm quite honestly bored. I haven't really rped on threads yet, but that's mainly my fault because I decided to adopted a bunch of new fresh characters all at once so I've been doing the painstaking task of creating bios. Trying to get my characters all into order. Trying to brainstorm plots for all of my characters while also developing plots with people over Skype. I've found myself in the pit of character creation, but mainly after this weekend everyone should be on the joining threads along with my big massive plot thread posted. I have begun to start rping my characters and started to create some open threads for some of the clans I'm in.
HOW WELL WOULD YOUR CAT GET ALONG WITH FIRETOOTH?: Well for one they are cousins - Firetooth's mother Breezestep and Delusionallove's father Muddypelt/star (Muddystar and Breezestep being littermates). So lots of awkward family tension / drama / or stuff could happen. Scenarios that happened in the past could set up the type of relationship these two would have. Like maybe they were rivals, indifferent as kits, or straight out hated each other. The possibilities are endless. I know that Firetooth and Delustionallove's litters are close in age, but I don't think any of the cousins really ever connected with each other so its really a blank canvas. I also think plot wise and also relationship wise with Delusionallove being the same age, but also like a moon older than Firetooth it could cause maybe some tension in the beginning between the two of them, because he's not the typical MCA who is normally fresh out of the nursery and they are also family. Maybe it bother Firetooth that he has to train his cousin a full grown cat as an MCA? Looking at Firetooth's bio I noticed that it says he isn't the type of cat to share his personal life. Since Delustionallove is a private cat himself he wouldn't try to be all up in Firetooth's business and wouldn't be ready to sit around a camp fire spill his feelings and personal life drama to Firetooth. He is passionate and driven when it comes to learning medicine after all the trauma he endured growing up. Also his brother Oblivionlogic is his main drive to want to pursue medicine. Delusionallove is also stubborn and doesn't take kindly to being bossed and it seems like Firetooth might be stubborn too?? So clash of the stubborn cousins? I also feel like in many ways they could compliment each other. Firetooth is short-tempered where Delusionallove is supposed to be on the more patient side. He would probably try to keep the peace between Firetooth and any clanmate that wouldn't understand him. Like maybe apologizing for Firetooth's temper? They also seem to deeply care for the younger generation and being protective of them.
