Lionpride groaned, his eyes fluttering open as soft morning light flooded in through the entrance. He blinked sleepily, as it sank in that this wasn't the warrior's den nor the was it the nursery... The last thing her remembered was running back to the the nursery... ACONTE... He leapt suddenly to his paws only to collapse as his exhausted muscles screamed at him to stop and his wounds ripped open at the sudden movement. He yowled in in pain, forcing himself to stumble to the exit "Aconite" he pleaded forcing one paw in front of the other as blood began to seep out of the cobwebs that had been wrapped tightly around his wounds to keep him from bleeding
"Aconite, I have to go see her. Shes gonna be so scared with out me" his mind was still foggy with pain and exhaustion his only driving thought was getting to his mate . He pushed his head out of then den, only to be pushed back by the cat on guard. To weak to fight, it sent him falling backwards landing with a loud thump on his back "You don't understand, shes giving birth" he pleaded, not fully comprehending that he was now imprisoned for attacking the high priestess and Satinpaw, and placing all the kits and queens in the nursery in danger. He struggled to his paws, legs quivering "Mom called for me, I have to get to the nursery" but the guards didn't look nor speak to him, no explanation
"Let me though" his bottom lip quivered knowing he lacked the strength to fight them in his current state, as it began to sink in... What was he doing here? Why was he so hurt? Had someone attacked him from behind?
Satinpaw had stubbornly insisted that the guard let her in the den while Lionpride was asleep but he had refused. So she had settled for sleeping just outside the den where her brother was being kept despite the insistence that she be in her mother's den resting from her own wounds but, she hadn't wanted Lionpride to wake up completely alone and confused. As soon as she heard her brother's voice, her eyes flew open and she jumped up as quickly as she could without tearing open her own wounds. Nodding to the guard he reluctantly stepped aside to let her through. She was still shaken from the events from the day before, but seeing Lionpride so distraught filled her with nothing but sorrow. "You open your wounds." she stated, moving forward to fix the cobwebs on him. Her whole body looked as though it was wrapped in cobwebs, excessive yes but it was the only way Bloodyrondo had been able to securely bandage her wounds. "You need to calm down." she spoke softly but her voice was firm.

"Satinpaw, why won't the let me through?!?!" he questioned his little sister until she stepped into the den nearly mummy wrapped in cobwebs. A growl grew in his throat, fur bristling "Who hurt you Satinpaw?" what ever happened must have been terrible for both of them to be so banged up. Had they been attacked? How had an enemy clan managed to get into their camp and past the tunnels? Had auntie Foxstar lost it again?
At least she was still moving around, but his overprotective nature made his claws emerge from their sheaths into the earth as she guided him into a sitting position to adjust his cobwebs. It seemed like the utter rage from earlier had faded only leaving behind confusion and anxiety to get to his waiting mate. He lowered his large head sniffing her sides as she worked trying to figure out what was happening "Satinpaw... please I don't understand... One minute we were racing to the nursery, and there was blood, but then I was here. They won't even talk to me. I NEED to see Aconite now" if they were this hurt just outside the nursery, then it was untelling what fate had befallen those in the nursery "Your a Janus, tell them to let me go she needs me" he whimpered looking far more the gentle giant her normally was then the crazed monster of the day before
Oh Sun God, how was she meant to do this? Satinpaw had stayed silent as he bombarded her with question after question, each one harder than the one before it. Taking a deep breath she steeled herself, for what she had to do. "You're in here because you needed to calm down... When we got back to the nursery you lashed out and attacked..." She shut her eyes, already regretting her words. "We're alright but we couldn't get you to stop without hurting you, and I'm sorry about that." She opened her eyes to watch his expression trying to read him before she continued.
"No" he took a step backwards shaking his head in utter denial "No... I wouldn't..." he seemed baffled and flustered, still no quit believing what his sister had just told him "No mom... she... she built us a nest in the nursery and..." he trailed off as Satin continued "I wouldn't hurt you Satinpaw... your my sister..." looking in utter horror of her wounds with an all new understanding of the situation
"I don't... I don't believe in violence" he shook his head back and forth collapsing to the ground, paws pressed firmly against his head, his claws slipping out of their sheaths and digging into his own flesh as his mind tried to wrap around the harsh reality of it as memories came flooding back to his mind each one searing its way to the front of his mind with painful force. The blood... all the blood... His mate flayed open and the fury and blood lust that had completely consumed him in the heart of the moment. Guilt and horror washed over him, tears flowing freely from his eyes onto the stone floor of the prison below "Did I kill Aconite?" he whimpered wanting to know the truth but dreading hearing the answer knowing that even if he hadn't he wouldn't be able to forgive himself for this, the painful memories becoming to much for him to bare. He just wanted it to stop,,,
"It wasn't Foxbane." her tone was firm, but not accusatory in anyway. She sighed, visibly deflating and wincing slightly. "You attacked mom... There was just so much blood you thought she had hurt Aconite, and when I tried to stop you, you attacked me." She braced herself for his reaction before she spoke again. "You have two beautiful kits but, I'm so sorry..." A lump formed in her throat but she forced herself to speak through it. "I'm sorry Lionpride but... Aconite... Aconite didn't make it.." Her voice shattered at the end, until now she had been refusing to address it properly, saying the words out loud now made her realize the reality of them.
"NO" he nearly screamed taking a step backwards "no, no, no I wouldn't" he took another step backwards shaking his head in utter denial. It couldn't be true... he would never... "Mom... you?" he looked at her, his lips curling up in utter disgust. He had done that to this little sister? THAT. She was tore open from chest to tail."I did that?"
He collapsed, paws flying to his head claws diggining into his head as he writhed in pain as memories of the day before began flooding his mind. He clawed at him self as it came rushing back to him, leaving flecks of red upon his head, the carefully wrapped cobwebs turning scarlet "No, NO!!!" His scream echoing hauntingly though the prison's stone walls. The tom didn't believe in violence and yet he had hurt those he cared for the most tears began to flood from his eyes like a flood. Guilt, shame, and horror fell over him like a heavy cloud. The memories he had supressed to keep himself sane forced to the for front. It was to much, he just want it stop as he clawed at his head "No I swore to keep her safe" he curled into a tight ball sobbing "Did i...Did I kill Aconite?" he whispered.....
Satinpaw padded forward, towards her brother as he crouched on the ground withering in anguish. Gently she removed his claws from his head and began to lick where the blood had welled up from the pin pricks left by his claws. Even when his wounds had been cleaned she didn't cease grooming him, and licked him soothingly between the ears like a mother soothing her distraught kit.
"No, you didn't hurt her, something went wrong with her kitting.. Mom did all she could to save her it was just her time to go." She spoke softly placing her paws over his, both in comfort and also to prevent him from harming himself again.

"I didn't hurt her" he repeated, but it only helped ease his pain slightly... He should have been at her side, been there to hold her paw as she passed "but I wasn't there for her when she passed, she must have been so scared... I should have been there" he sobbed burying his nose in Satinpaw's fur since his paws had been pinned "I hurt mom... I hurt you... who else did I hurt?" he questioned pleadingly.
It was all just so much take in, to painful. He had never even hurt anyone in a real battle, always doing his best to stay out of any sort of violent situations. He felt guilt knawing away at him, a dark cloud descending upon him as the reality of it all setting in
