Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Wanderingwight was a Maverick, and for good reason. Fia Cendrillon, her daughter, a Socialite, for similar reasons. Though they were quite different felines, they were still mother and child, and the similarities were astounding. Out of boredom they went out hunting, and now two foxes lay dead at their paws, crimson staining the creatures' corpses and living cats alike. Neither were particularly hurt, though Senescence did have a deep gash across one shoulder. Eh, what did it matter. It would heal, be a new scar for her collection, and that was about it.
They moved in the same ways, lethal forces who'd seen more than enough in their share of life to no longer be surprised nor impressed by the feats they were capable of, most days. Then again, when you were an Eerie, how surprising could life ever be? You won the same fights over and over again, tore down the same gods to raise up your own, played behind the scenes or ran in the forefront.
Fia Cendrillon had wanted a bit of a break. It was only a short while ago she'd proposed to Goldenphantom, and subsequently brought a litter of kits for them to raise. Funny, they were in the exact same position. Proxy and Immortal Council, second only to their leaders, in relationships with she-cats of the same rank they each held, adopting kits that seemed to fall into their paws. Cut from the same cloth indeed. Though Senescence was a demon, and Fia wasn't. Probably.
Rubyflame had been a bit of a black sheep in the Eerie family tree for a while. A former kittypet, fleeing into Clan life after she was betrayed by her twolegs kits who had tried to drown her for fun. Becoming Immortal Council to gain a second life to lose just in case. And then falling in love with Fang, bonding over their fondness for simply curling up and letting the world pass them by for a time, though while Fang liked to stay under most of the time, Rubyflame could only shut out the world for so long.
For a time she'd held her morals. Held herself as a good hearted cat.
Then SunClan had chipped away at the good heart. First by separating her from her mate and clanmates, then forcing her to give birth early, then stealing her kits, brainwashing her kits, and then bringing down the apocalypse upon them.
Only after Windchaser spoke up did Rubyflame realize just how tired she was of sitting pretty and trying to urge towards the moral high ground.
Because as it turned out when your neighbors was cultist, having a moral high ground was pointless. At least if you couldn't back it up with force. A force Rubyflame had sorely lacked.
It felt like Rubyflame had spent these past moons in a dream, since the apocalypse just... carrying on. Nothing really registering. Several of her kits had gone back to SunClan as a result and still Rubyflame slumbered. Wide awake, but deep inside her heart had been asleep.
Only waking now after realizing the weariness that had seized her mind without her realization until now.
And with it came a bitter conclusion that had been long time coming.
She would continue to be in danger as long as she tried to keep her paws clean.
The only way to oppose the merciless killers.
Was to be able to walk amongst them with a head held high, and with the strength to hold her own.
It was for this reason she sought out her Sister-in-law. While Wanderingwight's loyalties were fickle, the she cat switching between the league and DayClan depending on her mood. She was the most dangerous cat Rubyflame knew (after maybe Glowstar, but Glowstar seemed to relish in discord more so than her daughter). And Wanderingwight's daughter Fia was just as dangerous. Both killers. Both cutthroat in all the ways Rubyflame wasn't.
They would be the perfect teachers.
"Wanderingwight," Rubyflame meowed, "Fia Cendrillion, do you have a moment?" She asked sitting down before them, looking over the foxes they'd brought down, and this evidence seemed to solidify her reasoning fro seeking them out.
It was pretty clear who said what as they spoke in unison, Fia Cendrillon's ears perking up in apparent interest, eyes glazing over in copper for a brief heartbeat as she turned to face the she-cat with a casual smile that looked rather disturbing considering her blood soaked state, whereas Wanderingwight gave her SIL a once over and sat down, her expression routinely bored.
Naturally, there was something off about Senescence, then again, as word had it in the family, the Lucifern had supposedly learned of some, ah, powers she'd secretly possessed. Her very presence seemed tainted with death, and the world seemed just a bit more gray in her presence. Fia didn't have this effect, of course, she seemed significantly more lively, and entirely unaffected by any strangeness her mother may possess. She even turned slightly to give a teasing bat at Sen's ear that the Proxy seemed to allow. "We're free." She insisted once more.
